Right on the beach. Even better price options than Air bnb. Suuuper friendly. No charge for using paddle boards and kayaks. Amazing beach!

Fun place, good service, and a great location. My only knock is they can party loud and late sometimes... and I'm mainly there to get some solid rest for kiteboarding. But it's definitely a happening spot and near all the actions.

I will be staying at Baja Joes every time I go back to La Ventana! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They keep the rooms, grounds and common areas tidy at all times. It includes two spacious common kitchens, which are very well stocked, including assigned areas per room to store your food. While the rooms themselves are on the simpler side, they were very comfortable, and I didn't feel like anything was missing. The location cannot be any better, it is right there on the beach, and it even offers storage for your kiting/winging equipment. The vibe is pretty good, very chill and laid back, offering live music often. They also offer yoga classes onsite, which were a great way to start the day. In summary, I will be staying here again (hopefully soon!).

Went for lunch and to try the local craft beer. The tacos, with beans and rice were very delicious, so was the fresh made guacamole. They have evening entertainment and the place is very eclectic....a must go

Love this place. Yoga, kite, party, snorkel, dive, all out of one central location. Appreciate the recycling that’s offered.

This is a fantastic little place right on the beach. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and plenty of AC as needed. The staff is great, and the cafe and bar are wonderful. Side note. The power was out thanks to a tropical storm, but their backup generator provided electricity for the entire 24 hours we were there when it was off. I heard they had enough propane to keep it going beyond that.

Fantastic hamachi taco! Chocolate peanut butter cookie was also delicious

Yelp
Great location, ambiance and service. A fun place to visit, get coffee and food, shop for kiting, water sports, souvenirs and casual clothes or just hang out.

Yelp
Really awesome little bar! We came during off season so there weren't very many places open until after 5pm. This little spot was located on the beach, although you can't really de the beach from the bar, but you'll definitely see it when you park. They do carry some of their own craft beers that they brew in house, mostly IPAs. They were sold out of their one lager- I don't know how people drink IPAs in that heat/humidity. They also used lots of fresh fruit for their frozen margaritas. They were able to make my daughter sparkling lemonade and a frozen virgin strawberry Margarita. I also enjoyed their hibiscus cooler which was super refreshing in that weather. They had plenty of places to sit and shade. When you weren't moving about, the weather was tolerable with the breeze and the shade. The bartender as nice and I was able to have some discussion with him and some of the locals. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.

Yelp
Joe's is Joe's. I've never gone there for the food, but occasionally had some good meals. But it's a super friendly bar where a refreshing beer and a pleasant conversation are almost guaranteed. Plus lots of 'events' happening. They always have some music or a comedy nite or even a film fest for entertainment. Can't say you've been in LV if you've not been to Joe's.

Yelp
Great beer, great music, always welcoming. My wife never says no to a trip for an ice cold Tropical IPA. Limited food options, but the Tacos are very good.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Beer is cold and the have a huge selection. Mark makes his own beer, mostly IPAs, and they're fantastic. They also serve baja brewing and a bunch of fun drinks. The food this year is great! The oyster po boy is one of the best sandwiches I've had in Mexico. Go to Joe's and talk to Mark about the wind forecast.

Yelp
Joe is a legendary kiter and has been here longer than almost everyone else. He is a legend. They have a great kite school and I ended up spending a lot of time here because of how beautiful the place is! They also made the best mojito I have had in Mexico to date! The motorcycle out front is made of papier-mâché!

Yelp
Delicious tacos and stellar beer brewed on site. Wonderful energy here and the staff is super friendly!

Yelp
Adorable place, a full-on resort. Joe and staff are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Marie and Luce at the kite school taught our friends to kite, i.e., actually ride safely and have fun, and we wouldn't want our other friends to learn anywhere else. The rooms are clean and everything is close to the beach. Good quality food. Note: if you go to the restaurant at 7pm on a Friday, you're going to wait for everything. When every other place is busy, and you see an empty restaurant, beware. It's empty for a reason. We look forward to going to La Ventana to kite, eat fish tacos, and drink cold beer. The morning paddleboard/beach walks are pretty cool too, especially with a fresh machiatto from the espresso bar in the kite shop. We love this place!

Yelp
Food was just OK I ordered ribs but there was no rib it was just a small chunk of barbecued meat. Meat was tender but a bit grissel. Sauce was spicy and tasty au gratin potatoes were just OK chunk of cheese crust on the top and the whole dish had barbecue sauce dumped all over it. Portions were small by LaVentana standards. Kitchen was open and looked clean.

Yelp
I'm not a kiter ... but we stayed at Baja Joe's recently. Overall we were very happy with our stay. The room was spacious and clean, and just steps away from Baja Joe's bar. All the members of the staff were friendly and helpful. The shared kitchen area is well done with lots of shared pots, pans, dishes, tableware, etc. Everyone is supposed to clean up after themselves ... which some people obviously didn't ... so the room-specific fridge and cabinets were pretty dirty. If you stay there try to get a room as far away from the bar as possible as it can be noisy.

Yelp
Way better than the place we were at last night. Good service. Average food. Good drinks. Nice atmosphere. Played kiteboarding videos for most of time we were there then they changed to a football game for no apparent reason - no one watched it. Kiteboarding video was way better.

Yelp
Food service was nonexistent. Took 2 hours to get a hamburger. When we finally got it, the burger was cold and dry. Margaritas were sweet and needed an extra shot of tequila to make them tolerable.
