Baja Mar Taco

First time coming to this restaurant. It does get busy for takeout orders, but they are so fast! We ordered the shrimp tacos plate and coctel de camaron. I loved that both dishes were flavorful.

Don’t let the simple sign outside fool you - this place is a total gem! I would pass by it often not knowing they serve incredible shrimp tacos and burritos which are made fresh, served warm, and with great-quality ingredients. Everything tastes amazing and the prices are very fair. Definitely recommend!

Super delicious! I had the grilled shrimp burrito with Jamaica and it was so tasty. Lots of flavor and juicy from the inside. The burrito was not wet, yet it was moist.

This place feels like your eating at grandmas house. The food taste legit and made from real ingredients. I had the chilaquiles and they were fire! The quesadilla my daughter had was bomb too. We walked in since Loaded was jam packed and we regret nothing! I’ll def be back for more

I ordered a battered fish taco fully loaded, a chicken tostada, and a half order of beans and rice. They included a jalapeño toreado and had a green and red salsa bar with sliced lemons and pickled onions. The fish taco was absolutely amazing!!! Comparable if not better than La Bufadora and Taco Nazo. Yes it was that good! The tostada was okay and their salsas could use some work. The beans were good but the rice was really good. That fish taco though!!! Going back with the family to sample some of their other seafood delights and of of course their fish tacos!

The shrimp here are absolutely delicious and incredible! We ordered two Shrimp Taco Combos, which came with rice, beans topped with cheese, and best of all — the Baja-style shrimp tacos, hands down the best I’ve ever had. Pro tip: Pair them with a glass of horchata for a perfectly balanced contrast of flavors. The shrimp are packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and you can tell this recipe has been refined over many years. We started with the guacamole as an appetizer — it was extraordinary, full of flavor and creamy avocado texture. Also, a big shoutout to Nancy and Jose for their outstanding service and warm attention. They really made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic and unforgettable Baja-style shrimp tacos!

First time eating here and I was surprised on the size fish they put on the taco I got four fish tacos and should of got two. Really delicious and this will be my new spot to eat fish tacos on Wednesday!

They forgot to include an item from my order. When I got home I realized it wasn’t there. I called and the guy told me I can go pick it up, but the lady sounded hesitant to honor their mistake. I was given ranch dressing instead of sour cream for the nachos, no cheese on nachos. Torta de carne asada had cheese and ham in it, it was disgusting. Please do not be disrespectful to the customers.

Updating to let everyone know that their salsa cups are the TINIEST sizes ever. I brought in a bigger container to fill for a large group order (almost 20 tacos) and I was reprimanded and asked to use the tiny containers. I had to fill each sauce cup (about 20 total) and held up the entire self serve bar during prime lunch rush hour. This was really inconvenient and left me scolded for trying to fulfill my order. I understand salsa being limited, however, for large group orders, there should be a much bigger container to accommodate the group. Baja mar is not good for groups.

Can't beat $1.69 fish taco Wednesdays! The portion are large, service is friendly, and most importantly it's delicious! The only thing is that the place is small so if you do have a larger group, you may want to consider ordering to go!

A friend ordered takeout for a gathering on 5/25/25 for dinner so I can't speak to the service or the ambience. However, I ordered the camaron burrito (I specifically said "grilled shrimp" because I saw that on Yelp), and was surprised to see the shrimp fried + battered inside. I was expecting the same shrimp that were on their signature nachos. I'm not a huge fan of fried food so luckily my friend who got a Al Pastor burrito was willing to swap with me. The Al Pastor burrito was significantly smaller than the shrimp burrito and tasted ok. Tastewise, the nachos really stole the show.

1st time coming here on a Thursday which they had a Burrito special $7.99 each burrito with a can soda . Which I thought not a Bad deal . Excellent customer service & friendly atmosphere !! Kitchen very clean & everyone working with clean uniforms & gloves !! I order a carne Asada burrito 4 rid of& Al Pastor burrito 3 rated them. I felt like the Al Pastor needed to taste more like Al Pastor Flavor and the Asada was great the beans on both of the burritos needed more Lard or flavored so they can be perfect . Good beans will Make the Burrito Shine despite the type meat !! Over all I grave them a 8 out of 10. Will I come back Yes ! Place was clean & eclxcelkeht customer service .. they just need to improve on the taste of the beans & the mean . Got to try the fish tacos and other items next time . You won't be disappointed . Self served salsa bar & pickled onions really good ! Thank you guys for the excellent customer service see y'all soon !

Trying this spot my daughter has been telling us about. They have a friendly service and good prices. It's a chill spot kinda hidden in a small shopping center like by papa John's. Everything was really good. They flavor was on point good portions to get full on. I ordered one taco to many my only complain would be the potato taco the potato needed a pinch more salt but with the green salsa and everything The asada had a good carbon taste In it it was stacked with meat sadly didn't make the picture because I forgot I ordered it The last thing was the shrimp cocktail.... wow full of flavor big and plumpy shrimps that were soft no need to add anything unless you wanted spicy. Will definitely be back. So glad they are nearby.

There Wednesday $1.69 fish tacos were fantastic. They have a small salsa bar with red and green salsa but beware because they're both spicy. I ordered extra cream on mine but was charged $1.00 for it. No problem... But honestly it doesn't need it they already give it a healthy amount.

After years of saying I wanted to try it here. I finally went this past Wednesday. I ordered the shrimp and fish tacos and Al pastor tacos for the family. This place does not disappoint everything was great. Definitely recommended.

The fish & shrimp tacos are so good, all though they could add a little more shrimp to the tacos, the only reason I notice it's because I checked it but because they bread it, it's hard to notice. But other than that it's good they put enough cabbage & all the xtra trimmings the purple onion & salsa is yummy the service is good they are nice & the wait ain't long, I love this spot it's my go to place & the potato tacos along with the spicy shrimp taco this spot is a mom & pop for sure in the city of pico it doesn't have much seating but it's a lil nice place to enjoy the food & go. Fave taco place!! Go to comfort food: papas tacos, nachos, fish and shrimp tacos. Making my way through the menu. Service is always fast and friendly. Self service green and red salsas, pickled onions and lime slices, you'll have to ask for jalapeños.

Stopped by this little spot for a quick dinner with the family!! They were quick to tend to us and were very nice. The food was all delicious Come try it out if you're near the area. WORTH EVERY PENNY!! So so sooo good when it comes to customer service AND the food quality. Their fish tacos are amazing, even after the drive home. They kept well and yum! The beans and rice were even great! I love this place and highly recommend it.

Easily the best fish and shrimp tacos I've had in Los Angeles. Couldn't believe how fresh and good they were. Portion size is massive and their salsa is second to none. Also tried their Carne Asada burrito added cheese and guacamole. Was definitely surprised how good the burrito was and the guacamole really stood out. Will definitely go back here.

The food is very good, my favorite are the big fish tacos they have on Wednesday for $1.50. coctelitos are good too for $5.00. I think they are both Great deal! The only thing I did not like, is the older man working at the register, he is very rude and impatient, if your order is wrong on the monitor and you try to correct him, he will come back to you with attitude and an argument, so watch out for this man and now what you want, before you get to the register and you may have a good visit

Grilled shrimp burrito is huge and delicious. Tried the fish and asada tacos they are really good. The salsas are tasty too overall a great spot to eat highly recommend.

Get a set of 3, let that lemon rain and on goes the salsa. You'd be enjoying a gourmet meal right under the ceiling fans of a busting taco shop. Take it to your car, lay everything out on your dash, roll all the windows down, crank up your music, and just let the stress melt away with every bite. Enjoy the sunny sunset and appreciate thing simple things in life. Really good fish tacos. A crunchy batter that stays that way with a well-sized fish. It's a lot of food for one taco, and they be using medium tortillas too. Try it Taco Wednesday Damn the taco de camaron enchilado is the shit. I haven't eaten so much shrimp on one tortilla. I'm not sure whether you can et this elsewhere. Shrimp with cheese and a bit of chili is something else, pls try. Even the cabeza is something beyond just a seafood spot; it's succulent, velvety soft, and most important of all is it can top some of the near countless taco stands/trucks I've enjoyed. They know the flavor that people want, and for a great price; this is a rarity nowadays since every restaurants and businesses are taking advantage of 'inflation' (which is only 7%) and higher gas prices (up 25%) to justify a massive increase in price. This is the spot for some Mexican seafood despite looking lowkey.

Hidden gem in Pico Rivera. Doesn't look like much from the outside but very clean and modern on the inside. Great value with large portions and very good prices. Especially, the daily specials. Good amount of seating inside. Service was fast and efficient. Highly recommended!

Tried this place for the first time on a Friday during lent...a lot people joined me... Place is small but you can smell the goodness coming from the stove. It's clean and staff was friendly. I tried the fish, shrimp and potato tacos...all of them were pretty good. For the price, not bad either... I would recommend this place. No Military discount

This restaurant has my favorite combination for a place to eat: quick easy ordering, fair prices, and fresh yummy food! We were in an unfamiliar and looking for a quick easily meal that would please the whole family. We got a little bit of everything, various tacos, quesadillas, and a bean and cheese burrito. The salsa is SPICY so be prepared for that. My kids gobbled up their quesadilla and burrito. My husband and I enjoyed every taco we had. We tried pollo, pastor, and carne. All were very flavorful. If we're ever in the area we'll be sure to go back!

Nice clean place with good food! All food is make to order, it takes a little wait to enjoy your food but is worth the wait! Their food is delicious and flavorful, accompanied by good service and quality food! Great food, good service and reasonable prices! I highly recommend this establishment!

Best fish tacos I have ever had. Fresh, delicious, and the tacos don't easily fall apart. Even after you have taken them home with you. They are pretty big and made as you order. Their shrimp tacos are also very tasty. Not sure which I like more. Great little casual restaurant for a quick bite.

My friend that I came with named it "The burrito of the year!" First, they stuffed it with a lot of shrimp and the quality was there. It was perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients. Has a little spice kick but was the perfect amount. A clean place with awesome freshly made food. A must go! Make sure to come and try it out.

I ain't gonna lie. I was a little disappointed with the tacos. I ordered asada and fish tacos. This is just honest criticism don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings at all. I recommend putting a little oil on the tortillas and make them not too hard, but not too soft either. This will prevent the tortillas from ripping with the moisture. I had to eat mine with a fork because the tortilla ripped. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to make the cabbage almost like a relish . In Spanish, it's called a curtido, because it taste a little harsh being in a raw form. I've been to Bajamar Mexico I know they have great tacos. These are not quite there yet. A little more effort can go along way.

In case you haven't noticed, but Baja Mar has a fish burrito on their menu. I always get the spicy shrimp burrito, but I wanted to switch it up. I never thought to try the fish burrito ...., and OMG this bad boy was HUGE and so good. I couldn't do a before picture because I was excited to eat it from seeing how massive it was. The service is always great. If you like fish tacos please try their fish burrito. BOMB!

My family use to like this place but for some reason, the last 2 times my dad have gone there he has gotten food poisoning from the carne asada nachos.

Their burritos are 100%! Their tortillas taste homemade and have the perfect crisp and softness. The red salsa had a great kick to it and added a good flavor to the burrito. Their campechana is also really tasty, but a tad too much ketchup for my liking since I could taste it. Their customer service is lacking, but I would definitely come back.

I LOVE coming here for their shrimp or bean and cheese burritos. And their salsa is off the chain! Would definitely recommend this spot!

I've lived 2 blocks away from Baja Mar for the last 10 years and I've never given this place a chance. Trust me when I say, this is underrated. I'm inclined to say that they might have better nachos than Casa Garcia. The place is nice and clean. 100% recommend.

The food is all ways good . Tacos are good . Burritos I always get . The seafood is fresh. The place is clean and the people are nice . I try to go every other week for lunch.

This place is a small hole in the wall u might miss it if driving down Rosemead Blvd. I'm glad I stopped here to try for the first time instead of going to taco nazo. The food was amazingly fresh and sabroso me encantó todo. Highly recommend trying this place out. Can't wait to try other items on this menu. Love coming here to order my seafood. It's delicious and reasonably priced. I call my order ahead and they are always super friendly and never have to wait. I highly recommend the fish taco combo plate or the shrimp burrito. Don't let this little hole in the wall fool you delicious food, great service and reasonable prices. Especially in today's times I love supporting small local businesses in my community.

The taco Specials Are great....unless u miss the white sauce. I've ordered Several times with no sauce. I've gone back to ask for it and I've been dealt with negative attitude n negative accusations of having received everything. Once I didn't care but after several times I felt obligated to share. They're great but def check your order n don't get punked. I recommended this place to many people but lately I feel very cheated.
