20/9/25 This place have very good vibes with nice atmosphere to dine. It’s a huge place with nice deco. Service was very good and attentive. The meat platter was very good too. All the meat were grilled and cooked well. However some people may find a bit salty. Bread comes with dipping sauce which was suitable and tasty too. The restaurant sells Greek beer which I didn’t enjoy it compared to other brands. Overall it was a great experience.

We are a party of 8 celebrating a birthday 🎂. The restaurant was full of vibrancy and service was excellent, warm and attentive. Most of the food items were pretty good and comes with great tasting dips and sauces. We had a meat platter which I find to be quite dry. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for an intimate meal or celebration.

The food was authentic, flavorful, and served fresh – every dish felt like it was made with care. The portions were generous, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it perfect for family dining. Highly recommend if you’re craving Greek food!

Loved the food here! Octopus was so good. Anchovies was amazing. And of course the beef skewers was awesome too!! Service was top notch, and didn’t realize this place is huge… such good ambience and feel! Will definitely be back. Did I mention they gave us a free scoop of ice cream as well.

Visited Bakalaki to use some Kris+ vouchers. This is my first time visiting them and I have to say I am extremely impressed with the service and food here. Vin, the waiter that served us most of the time, was fantastic throughout with his service, from recommending up dishes, to ensuring that everything was smooth, keep up the good work Vin! The food was unique, which is something I haven’t experienced before. The lamb was good, and not gamey at all. Grilled octopus was on point as well. Overall, all the dishes were unique in their own right and they all tasted delicious. This was a good find and will definitely return in the future for their fine cuisine.

Google
Enjoyed our dinner at Bakalaki. Excellent service by Bala, Adonis and the rest of the crew! Food was delicious. A few favourites: Taramosalata (fish roe dip) with pita bread, Xifias (swordfish skewers with well-seasoned potatoes on the side), and the Chicken Yiros. Will be back! P.S. They are often fully booked, so do request to sit inside if you don't like al fresco dining.

Google
Really like the bright airy space. The food is pretty great but they fall slightly short in the dessert section. The Greek Salad, Lamb and Saganaki were excellent but the Roast Potatoes stole the show. Definitely dine here, but maybe skip dessert.

Google
Food was delicious. Service was great. Ambiance was beautiful. Ordered hummus, breads, salad, calamari, grilled lamb, sea bass and a carafe of house wine. Had a wonderful time there to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday 😋☺️😍

Yelp
Wonderful Greek restaurant in Singapore serving up delicious food alongside great service. Came here with my family and we all had an amazing time. The restaurant was clean and well organized. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
One of my favorite Greek restaurants in Singapore. Never had a bad meal here. My favorite are the dips- tirokafteri, tsatziki and taramosalata with their fresh hot pita. Also their chicken and lamb gyros

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a group of friends on Christmas Eve and the food was great! Restaurant is spacious and accommodates quite many tables. Unfortunately service was a tad slow but understandably so since it was a holiday and the restaurant was busy. I enjoyed everything that we ordered, including the dips, bread, and meat platter. Will return again!

Yelp
Great atmosphere and better food. Had the lamb beef kabobs. All the food was fresh and tasty. Social environment great for groups.

Yelp
We are lucky to find this restaurant by chance. They have real greek food. I strongly recommend to try the resin wine. That is something unique in greek.

Yelp
Excellent authentic Greek! Yes for Singapore! A great casual environment, with friendly efficient service and the best garlic dip! I also enjoyed the Kofte and excellent wine (at a reasonable price) which sometimes can be a hard find in Singapore. The kofte was excellent and the serving sizes ample. A great choice for dinner or lunch.

Yelp
Typically I'm not a fan of Greek food, and also haven't had that many opportunities to eat it either. So you can already know how I feel when the wifey dragged me to go eat at Bakalaki Greek restaurants here in Singapore. Overall, I'm glad she did, the food was surprisingly fresh. My wife ordered the beef kebab and I ordered the chicken kebab. We ended up sharing the food. The service and ambiance were both great and I ended up having a positive mood for the rest of the night. Bakalaki has made me a believer of Greek food.

Yelp
they have easily displaced blu kouzina as my new favourite greek restaurant in sg! the spaciousness, airiness and welcoming thematic decor takes them a notch above the competition even before you get a chance to differentiate their plates. and as soon as you take that first lick of taramosalata off the olive oil glistened pita you will want more, asap. a greek salad like none i have had in greece, really fresh, generous and a good balance of texture, colour and acidity. just a little heavy on the salt, in my opinion and a common thread when it comes to the meat dishes. the pan seared greek cheese smoothly rounded off my selection of appetizers. so the eye is bigger than the stomach? the staff will beckon you not to over order. portions err on the excessive side, so under order if you must. i wanted both the meat platter and the seafood platter but was knowledgeably adviced against it by our more than helpful server. he gently steered us away from the meat platter and we ended up ordering the seafood platter with a lamb chop main to supplement my carnivorous desire. yes, grilling is definitely one of their strengths and the lamb chops stood no chance. devoured within seconds of arrival, medium rare and tender as one would expect. but the seafood platter is the highlight and i am glad i listened to my server. it's just less of the same and a better variety with more varied cooking methods. the whole sea bream is easily de-boned and demolished from head to tail. crispy calamari pieces were quickly snapped up like savoury popcorn. while the more mature octopus satiated the more adult palates. their version is lightly charred for a fuller flavour yet with a baby butt tender bite. the two big butterflied prawns was easy fodder even for non skilled peelers. was left craving to try some other meat and the beef skewer souvlaki was quickly nominated to fill just that void. the longish wait however detracted somewhat from the enjoyment when it did finally arrive. best order all at once. if you are lucky enough, a complimentary dessert of greek honey and cinnamon doughnut balls with chocolate dipping sauce will comatose you. efkaristo bakalaki!

Yelp
I was going to give up on Greek cuisine until I found this place. All of the Greek places I tried before this place seemed to me that they were serving middle eastern food poorly prepared. This place is different! We went with the mixed meat platter for two and everything they had was good. I specially enjoyed the spiciness of the beef sausage and also enjoyed the lamb chop the most. The meatball is really good as well. The chicken yorio and the kebab are ok but nothing special. The portion is good for two people and you should order one starter if you aren't planning to eat dessert. We opted to eat dessert and ordered baklava and they gave us Greek yogurt on the House. The baklava was just ok nothing special. I would skip dessert next time but the meat there was really good. Highly recommend you reserve a table given it was fully reserved when we arrived and sat on the bar side

Yelp
My Big Fat Greek Dinner It's been a while since we went to our favourite Greek restaurant (we shall just call it the old place) and I was shocked when I discovered that the entire management team had changed. After some quick research by the wife, we discovered that they've ventured out to open Bakalaki Greek Taverna at Seng Poh Road and we knew that we had to head down to give it a try. First impressions. It felt like being home again. The warm greeting from George and Christos is always something to look forward to and we loved how Bakalaki felt a lot like the original place at Upper Bukit Timah (with a lot more space). Saganaki Kefalotyri ($16.90) This simple looking dish has always been one of my favourite. This beautifully pan fried Kefalotyri is not overly salty and melting with goodness. Topped with a squeeze of lemon and it brings out the richness and flavours of the cheese wonderfully. Perffffferrcccctttttt! Best eaten hot! Horiatiki ($20.90) Definitely one of the best Traditional Greek salad around. The wife who doesn't normally enjoy raw salads really love the Greek salad here. The Cherry tomatoes used are amazingly sweet, mixed with the freshness of the cucumber, pungent-ness of the onions, the saltiness of the olives, creaminess of the feta and the brightness of lemon juice made this salad an absolute delight to have! Pita Bread ($2.90) The pitas here don't look like much but they are so so good. Light, almost fluffy, they go absolutely perfect with the dips (5 different dips) that are available. That hint of salt added a nice dimension to the pita while the oregano gave it a nice, earthiness to the pita. Dips ($14.90 - $15.90 for single portions or $16.90 for 2 half portions) We went with the 2 half portions for the variety and tried their Taramosalata (Cod roe dip) and the classic Tzatziki (cucumber and Greek yogurt). A little strange not seeing Hummus on the menu but at least it got us trying something different. The tzatziki was fantastic. Light, refreshing and a real palette cleanser as we moved from dish to dish. The Taranosalata on the other hand really packed it punch! It was wonderfully rich, salty yet had this brightness to it because of the lemon juice. And I might get murdered for this but it went perfectly well with not only the pita but with the potato and grilled octopus tentacles. Paidakia ($32.90 for 3 pieces) The lamp chops here are a must have and a favourite here. The lamp is wonderfully marinated, ensuring that, for the lesser fans of lamb, there isn't that overpowering smell of lamb. It's perfectly seasoned and the knife cuts through the meat like butter. It had the perfect amount of meat to fat ratio, ensuring the lamb chops remain juicy and succulent. For those who used to frequent the old place and know how good the lamb is, the ones here are as fantastic! Htapodi ($32.90) Another favourite and must have is the grilled octopus tentacles. A lot of love and care goes into cooking octopus tentacles (legs), ensuring that they come on tender and succulent. Grilling them alone isn't enough and it often takes and hour or so of braising. The octopus here doesn't get any more perfect. Juicy, succulent, tender, it is absolute bursting with the flavours of the mediterranean. A must have, whether you're a regular or visiting for the first time. Thanks to Christos, we managed to try 2 new desserts on their menu. Rizogalo ($11.90) This creamy rice pudding was really quite a surprise. It looked really heavy but was actually very light, not overly sweet and perfect after a flavourful meal. Loukoumades ($14.90) Little puffs of sunshine. These little traditional Greek doughnuts and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Drizzled with honey and dipped in the chocolate at the side, it brought a little burst of happiness with every bite. Overall, I loved the hospitality of Bakalaki. It feels like you're being welcomed to a great big Greek family dinner every time you're there. The ambience is very nice and open and with a fairly open concept, it doesn't feel stuffy or stifling and makes for a very comfortable dining experience.

Yelp
My visit here was based on a recommendation from a banking colleague. The decor is authentic modern Greek. I felt right at home straight away. The waiter was very compliant with our questions and changes to our order. The calamari was a little over cooked but still tasty. The egg plant was a great appetiser We had the meat platter for two which was very authentic. The lamb was great which I think is a hallmark of a Greek restaurant as well as the tazaki has lots of garlic which I like Overall a good night out

Yelp
This place is only open until 11 PM and the kitchen closes at 9 PM. Yelp has a completely wrong. The baklava and Greek coffee was excellent I was unable to get any food because the kitchen was closed when I arrived

Yelp
I just had lunch at Bakalaki and I can't wait to be back for more. The vibe and deco of the restaurant momentarily transported me to a touristy (not in a bad way) seaside town in Greece. The food and service were both impeccable and left me in high spirits the rest of the day. I especially enjoyed the grilled octopus, which was juicy, soft and flavourful! The dips were also nicely paired with the warm toasted pita bread that was peppered with some herbs and coarse salt. The house wines added a nice touch to the meal as well.

Yelp
tldr - good food but unacceptable service at this price point. My family visited on 7th July 2018 on the strong recommendation of a relative (we were planning to visit the other well-reviewed Greek restaurant in Singapore). It is true that this is one of the two Greek restaurants in Singapore worth its salt (or olive oil). Signature Greek items were very well executed - the taramosalata was rich and creamy without being overpowering. Of the items we ordered, we thought that Bakalaki did a better job on some while Blu Kouzina (the other Greek restaurant) did a better job on others. Overall, high-quality food. The service, however, was abysmal. I would have written it off if the poor service occurred once, but it happened four times - it was difficult to get anyone's attention to (a) get water refilled, (b) order additional items, (c) ask for the dessert menu, (d) pay. In fact, there were a few occasions where some staff walked by us to the shelves near to where we were sitting to do their thing, and they seemed to take extra care to avoid eye contact with me. The unnecessary delays added up and by the time we received the dessert menu, we decided to skip dessert. One possibility is that we were seated near a large group and the waiters were busy with that group. However, the maitre d should have assigned waiters accordingly. At Bakalaki's price point, this level of service was not acceptable.

Yelp
This was my first 'proper' Greek food. In the past, my encounter with Greek food was in small restaurants that sells gyros. I came in without a reservation and was lucky enough to get a seat. I ordered bread and hummus for starter and had their Lamb for my main course. They were fantastic. The portion was quite big and I wished I came with someone else so I can try more food. Will come back for more!

Yelp
Great food, fantastic ambience, good service. Would certainly recommend and visit again. Everyone with a sweet tooth must have the Galaktoboureko. MUST HAVE.

Yelp
This place is awesome. It's just awesome. Food is great (the lamb!), servers are knowledgeable and friendly, ambience is bright and fun and even the toilets are nice and clean. I mean, what's not to like. Go there now. It's awesome.

Yelp
Just. Plain. AWESOME food AND service! We were in town for a short weekend and felt like Greek so we gave this a try. The ambience and interior of the restaurant is so beautifully done. The food, oh my! We had a few dips, the meat platter and wine. All worth it and highly recommended!

Yelp
The food is good but probably less so than my other favourite Greek in Singapore. Most items were ordered were good, from the starters to mains to desserts. That said, the service here can be greatly improved. We made reservations more than 2 weeks in advance for a special occasion for 10 people. Yet, when our party arrived (10 minutes earlier than reservation time), our table had been given away. We knew this because we were told that our table was prepared but they were accidentally given away to a group of tourists. We had to wait for tables to be vacated, cleaned, set. We were initially squeezed into 2 tables, that was then extended to 3 when some other diners left. The service recovery was poor. I would be reluctant to return, especially when treated impatiently when the fault lies with the restaurant. In addition, the acoustics at this place is bad so it is not recommended for intimate/romantic dinners.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Decent food. Tasteful decor. Ridiculously priced. We ordered the tzatziki and taramasalata dip combo as an appetiser on the waiter's recommendation. $17 for the dips. The tiny pita bread to dip in it is an extra $3. The moussaka for the main course was tasty enough but missing the cinnamon and nutmeg flavour. $26 For dessert we ordered the rice pudding. Ample portion served in a mason jar but a bit dry. $12. The best part was the Turkish coffees. Nicely presented. $10 for two coffees. The total bill for the above including service charge and taxes was $80. Too pricey for what you get. Not the best value.

Yelp
This is a great Greek place. It is almost always full so a reservation is recommended. Great food and usually decent service. I have been there a few times. I went there recently with my wife and we had a few appetizers for dinner. I recommend the feta with honey and sesame seeds. Our waiter recommended the calamari so we ordered that along side a few other appetizers. Unfortunately that was a bit bland and chewy. We asked for a sauce and the waiter said, "yes, it can be a bit chewy." I don't get why he recommended it to us if he knew it wasn't good. It made the rest of the dining experience a bit hard to swallow.

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic Greek food in Singapore then look no further. The food is drool worthy and the ambience is very easy going and contemporary. The staff went above and beyond. They will first serve you some bread which is made in house (I always trust restaurants that make their own bread)and then you must order the aubergine dip with the pita breads (yes, carbs are good for you). We over ordered our food and finished off every morsel of it. My mom and I are vegetarians and unlike a usual dinner outing, we could eat almost everything on the table (except for a meat platter ordered by the rest of our group and was raved about). Don't forget to eat the desserts (or at least the yogurt with honey!!!) - you won't regret it. The food is so fresh and make with excellent ingredients that you won't feel anything but light and ridiculously happy after eating it :)

Yelp
This place hands down have one of the best seafood dishes and Greek dishes I ever had. The ingredients in their seafoods they served smells great and tasted fresh. I stumble across this place from my friend recommendation while I was touring Singapore, and I was not disappointed at all. If you are visiting Singapore, definitely give this place a visit. You will definitely like it.

Yelp
Very nice Greek bistro that's newly opened. Food was absolutely delicious and authentic. They have a good selection of Greek alcohol and it's very much recommended. The restaurant is probably best for group dinners / lunch so that you can have more variety of the dishes. Will definitely go back.

A V.

Yelp
Excellent service and great food. The veggies were fresh. The meat was tasty. Dishes were well prepared. The Souvlaki and the skewers are both worth trying. Nice ambiance as well.

Yelp
This may be Singapore but Greece has arrived. Probably one of the best Greek meals I have ever had. The atmosphere is nice and the food was even better. Recommend a Greek salad to compliment what ever fits your tastes.
