I came from Vancouver and visited this local coffee shop. I always love supporting local spots, and this place truly made my day memorable. Their croissant was amazing, and the matcha latte was one of the best I’ve had — smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. You can tell they care about how they prepare it. Definitely worth a visit!

Google
Super cute coffee shop and bakery! Shakshouka croissant was absolutely delicious!! I would get it every time! Busy place but lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

Merice Cookie

Google
Nice atmosphere, very warm and cozy. It is also literally quite warm in here. The smoothies are great. There's plenty of seats but it's also quite busy so it might be hard to find spots during peak hours.

Google
Walked in and all their baked goods looked so good! Ended up with a few items to try and wish we had bought more. They have plenty of seating inside and outdoor, yet still had a cozy vibe. Ginger molasses cookie- Loved the chewy texture, but it was a strong molasses flavour vs ginger, but still tasty. Raspberry danish- just delicious! I actually had it the day after and it still tasted good, so I can imagine it being even better when it's fresh Raspberry and spelt scone- surprisingly it wasn't very dense, which is what I expected with spelt flour. It was still light and tasted great. Matcha latte- not the strongest matcha flavour, but still enjoyable. Overall, I'd happily return for the baked goods. They're open nice and early and have plenty of baked goods to choose from!

Google
Great coffee. I had an Americano with a ham and cheese croissant. There is lots of sweets on the menu, as well as salads and cold drinks. The place was super busy, which is a good sign for any cafe.

Google
Amazing cafe and bakery, would’ve gone back several times in our weekend trip if we could! Dark roast drip coffee is great. The baked goods were all amazing from the cream filled donuts to scones to the croissants.

Google
Such a great surprise to exist in the Yukon! Changed my opinion of what the North can be.

Google
The blueberry fritter was incredible. My husband and I bought one to share and we almost bought another one immediately after finishing the first. Lively atmosphere. Busy but efficient.

Yelp
We came here twice. The lattes were delicious. I love that some aren't sweetened, they pair perfectly with the pastries. We tried matcha, red, chai, and mocha latte here. I love that their tea bag's were made with cloth and not plastic! The cinnamon roll wasn't overly sweet and soft on the inside.

Yelp
I was at the front door when Baked opened up at 7 AM just a few days ago. I had heard that they had great scones (in many varieties) and good coffee. I comfortably sat down at a table by the window and enjoyed both. Why go to Starbucks or Tim Hortons when you have Baked within a few blocks walk? The only distraction was a Zoom call going on a couple chairs down of which both sides didn't seem to care that the whole room could hear what they were talking about. Of course I listened in and yes it was boring. Tip: Bullet Hole Bagels is just a few doors down within the "Mall" here at the foot of main street. Do what I did and make this Montreal-style bagel shop an additional later morning stop. It was a most enjoyable double treat, and an excuse to delay Lunch.

Yelp
Great coffee! The pastries we had were delicious and fresh. We had a ham and cheese croissant and a shakshuka pastry. There are so many wonderful things to pick from-it was all so good.

Yelp
Historic town with a great bakery!! This was our first stop on a trip to Whitehorse! The quiche crossaint pastries were delicious!! I loved the Ginger & Chocolate chip cookies!!!

Trickie J.

Yelp
We ate there twice in our week in Whitehorse, lunch on both occasions. Counter service, it was always busy - never eat in an empty diner. I had soup and Pizza on separate days, both were very hot and delicious . Serving staff were very helpful and happ despite the constant pressure of a busy cafe. A great vibrant atmosphere, great food, helpful staff.
google avatar

Daria B.

Yelp
It's a nice cafe, though I will say that when I ordered the hot chocolate, the hot chocolate could be a bit stronger. The taste was a bit too milky and not enough chocolatey. Also, their pastries are kinda hit or miss.

Yelp
Great coffee! Nice place to relax and have a coffee or something else. Good atmosphere right downtown close the River!

Cheyanne S.

Yelp
One of the best lattes I've had, and coming from Edmonton I have tried allot ! Beautiful cozy atmosphere and amazing eats ! Service was fast and friendly ! Would highly recommend!

Christopher W.

Yelp
Great coffee and decent location on Main Street with the option to sit outdoors in the summer. The baked good that I've tried are good.

Daria B.

Yelp
It's a mixed bag. Their chai latte leaves a lot to be desired and the flavour of the chai is so overpowered by the milk, it's not a chai latte, it's chai flavoured milk. However, their hot cocoa is pretty decent.

Greta C.

Yelp
Excellent service and great coffee! Nice space for conversation. Great selection of baked goods. Would return.

Yelp
The ham and cheese croissant is really Fricken good and filling! The cheese they use was yummy and just enough ham to not over power the croissant. Croissant itself has really nice flavour and fluffy. Drip coffee (medium roast) was hot but tasted a bit watery, latte tasted really good (had the cinnamon bun latte) but was only warm and cooled fast. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Great little spot in downtown Whitehorse for coffee, light lunch, and baked goods. Lots of light, lively atmosphere. I can tell that the owner has put a lot of care and attention into the look and feel of this cafe. Don't go to the Starbucks located a block away... just don't. Go to Baked! Tip: If you're just passing thru town, check out the shops located in the same 'mall' as Baked. Lots of quality, local goods including fine art, clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, and toys. I bought some amazing smelling soap made in the Yukon and drooled over some incredible art prints of local landscapes.

Gavin J.

Yelp
Pizzas are amazing. Also the best London fog I've had! Great atmosphere and nice service.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I had a americano to drink and a cranberry scone to eat, both were good. The atmosphere is alright, I'd go again.
google avatar

Sylvia K.

Yelp
Came in here to escape from the cold and what a lovely find. They've got a good selection of coffee drinks, cookies and pastries, and they also have sandwiches. I got the London Fog (earl grey tea latte with vanilla) and the girl taking my order recommended that I get it with soy (costs extra) instead of regular milk as that would taste better. I also got cookie ($1.90 each) to go with my hot drink. There were a lot of people here on the Sunday afternoon I was here, chatting with friends, typing away on their laptops, or reading the paper. This is a cute place to just hang out at. Don't forget to bus your own table!
google avatar

Rachel I.

Yelp
A great little bakery with smooth espresso, an impressive selection of scones, pull apart cinnamon rolls, and massive muffins. The best coffee I've had in Canada so far! Also has a nice selection of beans and pour over chemex/brewing accessories for sale.
google avatar

Yelp
Really decadent baked goods (anything made with a croissant was incredible), excellent coffee, and a cute little play kitchen for the kiddos.
google avatar

Jon T.

Yelp
Great place to get pastries or a light lunch, or just hang out and drink a cup of coffee or tea.

Yelp
Popped into Baked Cafe while traveling wanting a yummy cookie. I bought two, one chocolate chip and one oatmeal (a little over 2.00 /each). They were not fresh baked and did not taste very good. They were dry and no buttery flavor but more stale shortening taste. We couldn't finish them so we tossed them. Too bad with a nice name like Baked I guess I was expecting more home made tasting food. The vibe seemed nice but not busy, it was close to closing so that may be why.

Jo M.

Yelp
Great spot, great vibe cool design. First day had a coffee and glass to go cup and breakfast bagel with eggs and ham and only ate half it was so filling. Second day had blueberry spelt scone and chicken spinach salad and coffee and sat by the window doing postcards In a great spot I would return but I'm leaving town. If you're in town you should try it. Licensed and great selection of sweets and savoury. Coming from vancouver and im impressed by this spot in the north.
google avatar

Greg H.

Yelp
A great vibe, friendly staff and widely varied and healthy menu. Sandwiches, muffins and the best ginger molasses cookie I've ever had. The prices are quite reasonable too given the premium on most items up north (cookie 1.75 and 1.50 for coffee). The coffee is serve yourself out of 4 large carafes with a variety of excellent stong coffees. They also do espresso, mocha, smoothies and such. Spacious inside with free wireless and bright, cheerful funky decor. I'd make this a hangout if I lived here! Seating is also available outside for those months when that's an option without freezing.

Yelp
Tasty croissant and very delicious coffee. Warm and cozy, a perfect stop for the morning before my ride to Alaska!

Yelp
This would of been a 3 star review except for the fact that they absolutely no idea how to grind coffee. Baked has a wide range of whole bean coffee's for sale and yet when you ask for the beans to be ground they dump them in an ancient bun grinder that you would find in the cheapest supermarket next to the "german chocolate cake" and other flavored coffees. Needless to say because of the age of the grinder and it's ancient burrs, it's incapable of grinding coffee any finer than the consistency of drip. What's irritating is the staff member that helped me wrote down that I wanted an espresso grind, ground it herself, looked in the bag, closed it up and handed it to me stating "here you go, espresso grind". As one can imagine, when you pay upwards of $20.00 for 1lb. of espresso beans and end up with drip grind, it's disappointing. Staff is friendly and helpful, prices aren't outrageous, free and fairly fast wifi. Probably one of the better cafe's in Whitehorse but they seriously have to get there act together if they want to sell beans or ground coffee.

Yelp
Love love love this place! You know you've stumbled upon a good coffee shop when they stock some of the best beans in Western Canada and the machines to match - such as the Aero Press. Add to that tasty, home cooked soups with quality ingredients, lovely pastries and good quiches and you've got a winner. The food is simple coffee shop variety, a quick meal, not that many options, but every option is a good one. We popped in before heading out to the wildlife park and then again before we left. If we ever come back to Whitehorse, we'll definitely come back to Baked Cafe!

Yelp
Best meal we have had in Whitehorse so far. We had the beef barley soup, a couple of flat breads, and the smoked salmon quiche. Would definitely get the quiche again. Delicious! Nice flaky crust and yummy filling. One flatbread had bbq chicken, mozzarella, and onion and was very good. It had a slight sweetness- maybe due to the sweet onion? My hubby preferred the roasted veg, artichoke, and feta pizza. Fresh atmosphere and food! Would come back!

Yelp
Great coffee. I felt like I was in New Zealand. With a perfect pull macchiato. And a beef pie. A bit dry but a welcome sight. Good flavors. My wife had the veggie soup which was awesome. And I suggest. I suggest the soup get the soup ! Ill be back
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
Baked Cafe is an intimate little coffee shop that offers a lot for vegans. They have daily soups and sandwiches that are often vegan-friendly and always has a selection of vegan muffins, which are delicious. I like the atmosphere and service but it's often times crowded and noisy.
google avatar

Juliana P.

Yelp
Great price for a light lunch! We got the Chicken Vegetable soup (has pretty much every vegetable you can think of) but they ran out of bread for it. It was pretty filling. We also got the Calabrese pizza. Perfect personal size when you don't want to eat a full pizza. Lots of drink options and table. Casual and you can bus yourself there. I was bummed a few other places were closed but pleased to find that this suggestion from a local rang true. Not a major boozer, but surprised they don't sell their beer until after lunch service.

Yelp
Espresso drinks 3***. Little creme'. Over steamed. Spelt scone 4****. Very good. Breakfast food ( quiche and breakfast sandwich 3***. Meh, had better. Ambience 4****. Nice amenities. Great outdoor seating. Employee attitudes/courtesy/friendliness1*. My advice... Try smiling. It will make us both feel better.

Yelp
This place is great especially for lunch! Definitely a must stop if in town. I quite like the fresh pizzas!

Yelp
Great food. Lots of seating. Friendly people. My favourite spot for a light breakfast in Whitehorse.
google avatar

Yelp
Ok, so I'm new to the Whitehorse scene. Usually I'm driving by 7am so the only place open is Starbucks, which is okay. Today I slept in a little and found Baked. Aaaah. Now I'm good. Great coffee, fruit and stuffed croissants. Great way to start the day!

Yelp
This place has good coffee but was really disappointed in the Mango Chipotle Chicken Wrap. It was cold chicken with some peppers and lettuce and cucumber with no dressing, mango or chipotle. When we asked if there was dressing on the side, the server stated there was dressing on it. I will have coffee here again but definitely will not be spending $9.25 on a flavourless bistro item. We could have had a proper lunch for that price.

Yelp
Amazing Nd cozy place in downtown especially near to my work place ..Their rolls n coffee r super yummm

Yelp
Great quiche. The tea is super. The vibe is a little too busy for the layout. But it's all good in the early mornings.
google avatar

Yelp
I like the atmosphere, the service, the food, the coffee, the teas and juices, the flow and energy of this space. Its my favorite coffee shop in Whitehorse. Many others agree too...which is why it is a very busy place. When ordering coffee, staff take your name for the cup. Be sure to pay attention for your name when it is called, otherwise it will sit on the counter and cool down or be taken by someone claiming to be you...which is why I'm not giving it 5 stars. Be sure to have a ginger cookie, they are big, full of flavor, soft and delicious!

Yelp
Ordered an Americano, veggie quiche and a couscous chicken salad. All was very enjoyable. I don't know if it's a place for real meal. I'd say it's somewhere between snacks and get me through the next couple of hours. It is a lovely place to meet for coffee or a little bite with friends. It's a lovely open, bright environment. There is really a limited selection of stuff- which can be good sometimes.

Yelp
After a tired morning's walking around beautiful Whitehorse, I managed to stumble upon Baked. It is a lovely café just next to the Horwood's Mall and although at peak lunchtime it was quite busy, the food was excellent. I had a breakfast panini (which featured egg, ham and cheese on a bagel) which was just over $6. Although it seemed expensive, the portion was quite large and was definitely what I wanted! However, if it is quite busy during lunchtime the staff still operate on calling out orders or names which can be hard to hear if you aren't concentrating or sitting outside. You therefore have to kind of loiter by the counter until the food is done which therefore blocks space and as it is a small café, can be annoying if you're trying to eat. Although, the food was good and quick and if I'm in Whitehorse again, I'll definitely pay a second visit.

Yelp
Raspberry scone and Buffalo Chicken Soup was something you get to eat often. Recommend to stop by here

Egan M.

Yelp
Why would anyone go to Starbucks when this is right down the street? The food (especially the salmon quiche) and coffee are outstanding, the location is perfect and the service is super friendly. I come here every time I'm in town.

Carolyn J.

Yelp
Coffee here first thing is always the best pick me up. During the day the baked goods are amazing. During the night their new charcuterie is to die for. Not only do they have great food but the alcohol selection is on point. Quality food. Great location. Price is perfect.

Van D.

Yelp
Baked is a lovely little bakery in downtown Whitehorse. With super friendly staff, an great selection of savoury and sweet baked goods, coffees, teas and other goodies, this is probably the best coffee shop in town. Not only do I recommend this place, I would insist that you try it out if you're in the 'horse.
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
I came in here with my mom after wandering around Whitehorse for a while. I had a nice chicken panini and a cappuccino. I liked this place more for it's atmosphere, it was just the right amount of busy. We sat there for a while reading and deciding what to do next. The staff were also very nice! If I'm ever in Whitehorse again I will stop here for sure.
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
Baked is a great coffee shop and recently the staff are much improved - perhaps because they have a bunch of students home for the summer and they have more people to draw from or maybe (touch wood) because the owners are paying more attention. Either way, it's a pleasant change and one more reason to visit.
google avatar

Shane W.

Yelp
Free Internet. Good coffee and baked goods. Can usually find a seat. Took a bit too long for my coffee. Great location on Main Street near the river.
google avatar

Tracy M.

Yelp
Needing a quick snack before heading to the airport I stopped here for a late and a scone. Late was smooth, no burnt taste. Scone was amazing, not too dry but with a lovely, crunchy crumb. They had so many tasty looking options-scones, muffins, paninis, and sandwiches. Many pastries were also available in three "flour" types-spelt, wheat, and white. Prices were reasonable, for Whitehorse, although I did experience sticker shock when I inquired about the price of beans ($18 for 1lb). If I had been around longer I would definitely have gone back.
google avatar

Julie D.

Yelp
I was in Whitehorse while my husband was attending a conference & and found myself hungry in the late morning. Great selection of baked goods -- I choose a smoked salmon quiche, which was heated for me. It is a place for coffee lovers but not being a coffee lover, I was a bit at a loss on what to drink. Ended up with a bottle juice, but would have loved a soft drink option. Atmosphere was nice -- great to have the tables outside as it was a lovely warm day.
google avatar

Spencer C.

Yelp
Its really good, solid atmosphere, some good treats, and I have been there for breakfast almost every day of my visit. My favorite bakeries are the Modern and La Baguette in Revelstoke which set the bar very high and this isn't quite there with the espresso or the treats, but its definitely solid.
