Baked in Telluride

The outside looks gorgeous. Little red cabin on a side road. We assumed it was just bakery and some small plates. We were wrong in the best way possible. The inside is quaint in the way your hometown's panadería is. Feels local and warm. Relaxed. We ordered pasta, a soup, tacos and a couple drinks. We were a little taken aback by the prices but it seemed logical having to compete with Mountain Village and being this far away from a city. The food looked amazing even from afar. The soup was so good, the tacos tasted authentic and the pasta!! I always say it's a 50-50 on wether you get good pasta from a non-pasta place. We hit the good odds. The pasta was amazing and the grilled chicken on it was juicy. All in all, great experience, friendly and helpful staff. 10/10 recommend stopping by the little red cabin.

Fabulous bakery in Telluride! The ham and cheese croissant is to die for!! The cookies and other baked goods are good as well. It is a great spot to stop in on your way over to the gondola or around town. Highly recommend!

Baked in Telluride is delicious. We went for breakfast and they had it all. Chorizo breakfast burrito was really good. We tried a few of the pastries and they were excellent. The dining area isn’t huge so I’d recommend going early. Good coffee as well!

Skip the lemon blueberry bread. Chocolate chip cookie is okay. Chocolate chunk brownie is perfection

What an amazing bakery in the middle of telluride. My cinnamon chronut was one of the best I've ever had. Great service, tons of variety and a great location. What's not to like?!

Paid almost $30 for one of the worst sandwiches of my life. Honestly, I don't know how you can get away with this. Stopped in on a Friday, thought I was going to go with my normal pizza, decided to change it up and get a sammy. Boy, was I wrong. What kind of bakery are y'all running here? Got and Italian sammy. $21? After tax, tip, and transaction fee (?) it came out to $29. And I was served a sandwich that was served on almost stale bread, with little to no effort thrown into it. Never, ever in my life have I ever been so disappointed in a product. Stick to the pizza y'all.

The atmosphere is very chill and they don't rush you at all. You can enjoy the quiet of a corner alone. The angus stew is excellent. We eat here whenever we are in Telluride, going on 30 years.

The fettuccini alfredo was amazing! My husband got the BLT. His only complaint was wishing there was more bacon, but said it was still really good. The baked goods looked really delicious as well. We got a piece of banana bread to go for the morning. Recommend stopping in!

I'm kind of surprised there's not more places to get treats in Telluride so this was one of our only options. This is a great restaurant though because you can grab a bite to eat and dessert. however, we only had dessert. The desserts were OK. Everything was just a little dry. Maybe they were baked the day before? I think that's why the ratings aren't a little bit better. The ambience has a fun vibe and there's some really great local artwork if you're into the abstract.

We came to Baked twice during our stay in Telluride. Staff and service were a-ok. The donuts and sweets are really good. The donuts tasted good and went well with the milk we bought. There is indoor seating but we opted for the outdoor seating both times. There isn't much but it's perfect during a summer morning. Inside can be a bit busy with lines getting fairly long. Outside is busy as well but you can get lucky and have a slow morning. I'll be sure to be back when my family returns.

Best cronut ever! Hot fresh coffee, And delish bagel sandwiches. Nice staff. Will def come back

Be prepared to wait a very long time to check out! They have a very robust bakery case with tons of fresh pastries but when it's out, it's out so make sure to get here early. they do have grab and go options available for burritos, bagels and quiches. They also have a full menu that you can order from. They are not too staffed so you will need to pass through the one cashier and the one barista if you want to order anything there.

Very eye catching display of the baked goods as soon as you enter the bakery. Early in the morning it was a short wait but they were busy. They have a great selection of baked goods and drinks. Their chai and coffee were quite good. We tried their croissants, cheese danish, apple turnover and donuts over the course of two days. The donuts were cakey kind and not as light as we are used to. The croissants were light but not very flakey - seemed to be missing that buttery flavory to it. Overall it was an okay place with respect to taste for us

Cute place on the Main Street! I got a cupcake, kombucha and hot chai tea. My total was $40 including tip. Music was nice. The cupcake was hard-ish. Drinks were great! The usual. Our barista was sweet! He recommended us some places to go after. Overall, nice and secluded place!

Great little bakery in Telluride offering bagels, pastries and breakfast burritos. Stopped in here during Telluride Blues and Brews and found a line, which moved very fast. The burrito was fresh and plentiful and coffee fresh as well.

Fantastic little spot with easy-peasy quick and breezy food options. Casual enough you might even overhear towny gossip. Nice staff.

This hidden gem of a coffee shop really needs an appropriate blast on Yelp! (The Yelp search tool for food and coffee missed this!!!) Anyway, we stumbled upon Baked in Telluride on a quest to find a cure for my caffeine withdrawals. What I initially thought was a cannabis shop (hehe) turned out to be a fabulous bakery! The food is fabulous and the coffee tasty (but not strong enough to cure my addiction). The price points are typical for Telluride. A 16oz coffee and slice of banana loaf ran just under $11. Non dairy milk options are available (Almond and Oat but no soy) for $1.50 additional. There is plenty of seating both indoor and on the patio for people and puppy alike. I did become a repeat offender to BIT as we also brought home some fresh Vienna Rolls and Blueberry Loaf. Baked's dining menu includes soups, pizza by the slice (portion size friendly), tacos, breakfast burritos and sammies. Reasonably priced compared to establishments along Colorado Ave (main strip). The only downside is the service. The staff are not quick, so prepare to wait a bit for any style coffee that isn't straight up drip. I had to remind the staff each time I ordered ....I'm not high maintenance, just a coffee and almond milk please......

Nice place to grab a quick ready-to-eat baked good. The baked goods are fine, but not in any way "OH WOW!" It's a "serve-yourself, go to the counter and pay and leave a tip on the screen" kinda place; the cashiers are always pleasant. There are always a lot of people moving through so things can get a little disheveled over by the cases of pastries: tissues strewn about, etc. While we've been coming here for nearly twenty years, I don't believe I've ever sat at one of their tables (inside or out), so I can't say anything about actually eating here.

Better than Starbucks, for basically the same price. Coffee was dark and delicious with a pinch of cinnamon and really hit the spot in the below freezing winds. They have amazing pastries. I can't speak to the service on a normal day cuz we came in on a busy weekend. ‍‍ One criticism, though, is that no one with any sense of compassion should charge $17 for a Ruben. C'mon, people!!

First time here. I ordered the Reuben and it was not very good. Hope the other sandwiches are better. Would expect for $20 it would be pretty good. NOT. Go to the Butcher and Baker. We had a fantastic lunch there!

Awesome bakery in Telluride. Also serving lunch options. We only tried the breakfast baked goods which were excellent. Great place to start your day.

Service was not great and latte was expensive and terrible. Espresso was not fresh and had a terrible flavor. On the positive side, Peanut butter brownie was delicious!

If it feels like your food was made by some high school kid summering through Telluride, it probably was. This joint is super convenient and the baked goods are reliable and easy. If you order off the menu however, I wish you good luck, and before you sit at a table make sure you wipe it clean. We ordered the Chicken Echiladas which were as tasty as the oxygen they will sell you a few stores down and although I requested the bacon be left off the Turkey wrap they merely took it as a suggestion (and ignored it). Maybe the food just tastes different at such altitude but I suspect that was not the case ;) Again, this place is super convenient and sometimes the lines move fast enough where the two registers will keep things moving but perhaps it is unfair to compare it to the other places in Telluride. Come here to grab a croissant or a bagel or a macaroon or two.

This is a professional baking operation. Great selection, great service, and energetic vibe.

I got the baguette and it wasn't the best one. The service was good there was some seating but it was loud.

Bakery in telluride. The inside is a little industrial and in the evenings the baked goods do run out! But we went both in the evening for a quick dinner (meatball sub was HUGE and flavorful) and also went for breakfast. Lots of donuts and pastries and to go sandwiches. They seemed a little light staffed but overall great experience.

I was able to grab some treats for our breakfast the next day - had the banana chocolate chip bread + a cinnamon roll. With the 10% Yelp discount, it came out to be just under $8 for both - which is really reasonable for for the area.

This place is a gem! Every time I stop by, everyone is so friendly and helpful. The banana chocolate chip bread is my fav. It's a little dense, but full of flavor. Love the home/community vibe. If you're expecting resort style/bougie food options, this isn't your place. (Nor would I ever want this place to be that.)

Looking for food to test out if you have healthy teeth? Go no farther! Just try one of their bagel sandwiches and you'll find any dental issues. But seriously- I've had beef jerky that was softer than these bagels.

There are better choices in town. The food was so so. Staff was indifferent. Expensive sandwiches that were average. Baked goods were very good. So it was odd to me that the bread for the sandwiches were not great.

Affordable, unfortunately I saw a fly flying around in the donuts display case, I still took a cheese danish from there and the cheese danish is okay, not as good as I thought it would be. The horchata is great and wonderful though especially for the fountain drink price. Service is reasonably quick and the cashiers just do their job, can get a bit crammed inside the store and minimal sound inside.

I live for cake and cake based products so I love finding new bakeries in the places I travel. I was very lucky to stumble into Baked in Telluride while walking to my hotel. It was the perfect treat after a long day of walking. I had the coconut cake donut and a vanilla cupcake with sprinkles. The donut was delish, it tasted like a glazed old fashioned cake donut and the shaved coconut was a treat. The cupcake has creamy frosting and very moist cake. To be honest, the cake to frosting ratio was a bit off and I'm a frosting fan. There is so much frosting that I had to shave some off. Fantastic taste tho and big enough to share or eat over 2 servings. I'm such a fan of donuts that I can see myself coming back for another before leaving!

One of my musts in telluride, it is an outstanding bakery. They have a large selection of donuts, sweet rolls etc. bagels w your choice of toppings- eggs, bacon etc. good coffee. It is all fresh, and ready to go at

We were camping in town for the night and wanted a close walk-to casual breakfast place to grab a couple pastries. Our kids loved the option to stare in front of the donut case and choose their favorite. I had a chili cheese roll (basically a cheese bagel) and my husband had an apple fritter. All of the items were fresh and large. They were about $2.50-$3.50 each. You can also grab some ready-made breakfast sandwiches and there are about 8 tables outside you can snag to enjoy your quick bite. The market is just next door, so we grabbed our drinks there, but they sell a large selection of drinks as well. Definitely could've gone for a bit more sanitary and spaced with this whole COVID adventure, but we liked everything we had and would return.

Some laziness bad attitude just not a good vibe from the workers. Says coffee but they don't serve coffee. Or just don't want to serve. Tables aren't clean.

Go early to make sure they still have selection. They take orders online. Highly recommend the breakfast croissant with bacon! The egg and bacon is cooked inside of the croissant and it is DELISH. Sandwiches are honestly pretty normal, not rock your world.

Do yourself a favor and get the carrot cake. We also got a brownie but haven't had it yet... had to write this review before I forgot. Lucky you!

Had heard good things, but this place was just filthy dirty!!! I mean, FILTHY sick out! We ordered lunch. Probably our 1st mistake since this place looks like they specialize more in baked goods. Not one to write bad reviews, but I had to w/this experience. Lunch was so gross and horribly overpriced for low quality food. Won't return. Beware of the nasty filth- it made me completely lose my appetite.

Oh man this place has everything! A great food menu that can please anyone, and baked goods fresh everyday! Plus, the prices are reasonable for a town like Telluride... Pro tip... go after 2pm and stock up on buy one get one baked goods. They are "day after" but still taste so fresh!!

Baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are very tasty. The pizza slices in the afternoon and early evening are really good. Many tables along the wall provide electrical outlets and there is outside seating if you prefer the great outdoors. Don't be intimidated by long line, it moves extremely fast. Would highly recommend Baked in Telluride.

We came here every morning that we were in telluride and loved it. Their baked goods were always so fresh and delicious and the coffee wasn't disappointing. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Super fair prices for a touristy town also. Will definitely be back here!

The "do-sants" at baked are really awesome. I consider myself a breakfast burrito connoisseur, and the burritos here just didn't cut it. A bit dry and the salsa was weird. Bagels were a bit stale

Been going to BIT since back in the day it was just a funky little coffee and bakery place run by KOTO founder, Jerry Greene, a constant presence as the owner. It had little nooks and crannies for seating like an old neighborhood place. Then there was the fire. The community stepped up to help Jerry build a new place but it never matched the old one. Jerry talked to me about changes in the town that concerned him. Over development being at the top of his concerns. He finally sold and while new ownership tried to keep it the same, it never was. Jerry's spirit was missing. He didn't last long in retirement before he passed. The concept of grab and go food and baked goods remains but it's clear there's staffing shortages. Maybe affordable housing and livable wages would help?? Food remains basic and a good way to start a day but prices have soared. Like all of Telluride. Hours are shorter which makes it hard for late hikers to access dinner. Still, BIT remains a town institution. A gathering place for many locals. A place to visit at least once. Get there early for more assortment of baked goods.

Great salads, we got a Chef and a Cobb. The vanilla filled cronut was delightful. Outdoor seating was a must for us and this place Wes great!

In a town that prides itself on high quality, natural foods, this is a major disappointment. The menu is huge - walk up to the counter to order. The offerings look great on the menu, but when they arrive at the table, I felt like the chili was poured out of the can a few min prior. The sandwich quality was similar to my middle school lunch room. Avoid if you have ANY expectations otherwise.

The donuts and "do-sants" are unbelievable. Some of the best I've ever tried. The do-sants sweetness and texture is perfect. The filled jelly donut was also a group favorite.

First morning in Telluride. We must've been the only people awake at 7am even though the sun was up over the mountains. We knew we needed breakfast but didn't want to sit down, but rather take something to go and sit on our AirBnB porch and take in the views. It was difficult to order a little bit because the doors of the fresh baked goods were difficult to see, but we got a little bit of everything because the prices were reasonable. I think the cashier could definitely tell we had never been in town and we held up a few people behind us while debating on what to order, but no one really seemed to mind. Easy breakfast to fuel up for the day!

Super over priced pastries, but I can't say they weren't all amazing . We got about 6 pastries in total for 20$. The cinnamon apple swirl pastry was my favorite ( heated up of course .) and the giant donuts are perfect to share for 2. Recommended if you want a quick yummy ( slightly overpriced ) bakery treat. But with so many other awesome places for dessert , If you have the extra time I advise trying a different location ! ( butcher and the baker desserts, or telluride truffles mmmmm)

This used to be my favorite place in Telluride. We have been coming for 20 + years and the years it was shut down due to the fire were some of the hardest...but something has happened. They never have any cookies and they aren't the same anymore. I understand they want to reduce waste but coming in at 3pm and having no baked goods available is sad. Go back to the old recipes too. The people are still nice and the inside space is definitely nicer then pre fire.

5/5 stars immediately! I came here everyday of my trip to Telluride for their delicious bagel sandwiches, fresh pastries, and burritos! The coffee drinks were delicious as well. I even sat on the porch and ate in the quiet of town, which was relaxing even on a cold day!

Awesome baked goods and pizza! The pumpkin bars are amazing. The bagels are nice and plump. The donuts are enormous and thrilling for kiddos.
