My husband and I launched 2 kayaks here and had a relaxing time paddling around. Nearby boaters were at a respectful distance.

I love this place we have been coming here for years. Its nice the only bummer is now you can't drink or even smoke so for me personally the no smoking sucks!! But nonetheless It's a safe place to bring your family and friends... it's very nice and yesterday it wasn't 2 crowded. We brought 2 of our grandaughters yesterday!! We had a great time. They have places to play horseshoes, lots of parking, a snack bar and $5 to park is the best price around hands down!! So for a fun day u should check it out

Spent this last weekend at the campground with our family. The hosts were so attentive to our needs and so friendly and welcoming. This was our first time to the campground and I can't wait to plan outer next trip and bring the rest of the family.

We tried to go here a few weeks back and were extremely disappointed. There is not really any way other then the boat ramp to get down to the water. Jet skiers were riding all the way up to were there were crowds of people and kids. Not many options to swim around. I'm sure when the water is higher it is better, but mid July and later is no good.

Beautiful park on the shore of Dorena lake. Lots of picnic tables scattered around and under trees. There is a boat ramp and because there's also a camp ground, real bathrooms and not just outhouses. There is also a playground. Overall a wonderful day!

Google
Beautiful, well maintained, lots of picnic benches. I wish the waterline had been higher so you didn't have to hike down to fish, or that there was an easier less steep place to get to the lake from, but we will definitely be coming back

Great park about 30 minutes from Eugene. Even crowded as it was, we could easily socially distance. The water felt nice. Everyone was respectful. And my favorite part: no alcohol allowed on site. At all. So you don't have any of the loud crazy out of control people that are often present when alcohol is involved.

Yelp
Baker Bay Park, is the perfect forest camp spot for anyone. For family, friends, pets or solo. This camping resort includes parking-lot for boats, jet ski and kayaks. Also includes decks on water for boats. Restrooms for male and female that is open 24/7. But also indoor private showers, that are closed at nighttime, open in the daytime. There are around 50 camping sites that are either close to the Dorena Lake, in the middle, closer to the woods or party sites. Every site has its own fire pit and an area for either a car, RV or a motor-home. Also provides filtered water hoes at certain places around the sites, trash bins for garbage/recycling and liquid waste disposal. SUMMARY; At this camping location you may shower, use the restroom, physical activity at the field, swim, fishing, fire wood burning (fire pit) and riding on a boat. The ideal place for physical and mental rest and overall visit.

Yelp
Camped here last summer on the recommendation of a friend. It's a family friend spot with day use and camping. Picnic tables, beach, I think I remember grills, a big grassy area - lots of space to spread out and enjoy the day. Seems like a GREAT place to take family and kids. As a county park, there is a no-alcohol policy. While I'm sure some people discreetly partake, that policy adds to the family friendly atmosphere. Our campsite was in the middle with very little privacy or shade, but we walked around and it was one of the only "bad" spots in the place. I reserved it unseen and shortly before we went, so I was just glad to have a spot. If I come again, I'll reserve in advance and get a water view. For us, the camping was secondary as we spent most of the day out on the water. There is a boat launch for larger vessels and a great big parking area to leave your truck and trailer. We were able to park near the grass and air up our inflatable SUPs pretty close to where we put in. We put in near the beach and spent the day paddling around and it was great fun. It's a lovely lake and we had a great time, but not the "most amazing" lake to paddle by any means. I would come again, next time with friends!

Yelp
My friend took me for a drive one day and we found ourselves taking in the beauty of Dorena Lake. We came here on a Saturday and there weren't that many people around. There is a trail that I believe goes around the lake but it would be a few miles of walking. There's a little beach are to lay out a blanket or throw a ball for your dog. There is a decent sized parking lot, bathrooms and a beach launch area. If I had a boat or kayak I would definitely come here and use it. There are also a couple historical plaques with photos of people picnicking at the same lake many years ago when it was a stop on the railroad system. How cool!

Yelp
Okay, friends, I'm back again for the 7th time (I went twice last year). I should have written a review last time I was here because changes were being made with the staff. I read a review or two about not being happy with the staff and the location. We were there in late August and the host managers were put to the side and then the official park managers began taking charge (they were now in the main spot near entrance). I returned from June 29 - July 2nd and the hosts that were put to the side were completely gone. I won't get into details as to what I heard but now Baker Bay has a GREAT staff. I'll admit that I was a little worried by the looks of the last hosts but was always told to never judge a book by the cover and while I was there there were no issues but it was after that seedy things began to happen. You do NOT have to worry about that now. They are gone. The new hosts are upbeat and keep it professional. Now to talk about camping. Our usual spot was amazing (I love looking at the water). Honestly, if you want the sunset, take number 43. I have a friend who is taking it for next year. You probably get more sun that most spots since it's kind of a corner area where the lake is to the west and south of you. Worth checking it out. What happened to the water? It was interesting that every year we like to float around the boats or take our kayaks out. Well, the boat dock was off to the side, as were the rest of the docks. It was quite comical. Fortunately they have a very long dock so we had no problem putting our kayaks in nor did those with boats. We actually paddled to the dam and let the wind bring us back (with some paddling). I actually had friends in site near the bridge who just launched the boats from there since the water was so low. Those of you who have been there in the past would be amazed at how low the water was. I usually have ducks swim right up to our site but this time they were waaaaayyy down there! Regardless of the low water level, we still had a blast. FYI: The place does sell firewood.

Yelp
It's a little crowded but the water feels great, good place to take the family or hang out with friends!

Yelp
This is a beautiful lake. However, the camp ground manager really broke the balls. My husband and I were looking for a day use area to make and eat dinner. We wanted a lake view and privacy. We drove into the campground and were directed to the day use area. Not less than 30 minutes after parking the SAME person who directed us over there came asking us to leave, nosing around our van. I mean, most day use areas are open until 9 pm. He came at 8:15. He said take your time but made sure to come around more than once to bug us. It was really annoying. We ate so quickly we did not get to enjoy the water or really our time. We are on vacation and felt very rushed. We were out of there before 9 pm. I DO NOT recommend coming here based on the terrible camp manager. I also do not think $20/night for camping is worth it. Many other places with more relaxed people and I'm sad this was our experience.

Yelp
The hot food at the concession stand is delicious, if spendy. My son gets a cheeseburger and fries for $9.00. The owner will go out back and cook it on the grill, then load it up with lettuce tomato and onion. Mmmm The park is clean and fairly well maintained, except the bathrooms which are always almost nasty. The campground is great, showers are free (if you can get over the hair and scum). The swimming area is fun for kids but gets muddy quickly. There is a playground for the little ones. The main reason to come here is to get out on the water of Dorena Lake, which you can do on the rentals (paddle boards, kayaks, inflatables) or launch your own boat. There is a day use fee of $4.00 for Lane County Parks.
