Good location near Lake Louise. The cabin was small but cute. We loved the fire pit by the river and appreciated touches like the wonderful Rocky Mountain soap and kindling to start a fire . I do think this resort could work on their customer service. The front desk attendant was not friendly, and it always seemed like I was bothering her. Our cabin was not well stocked as we had to go get more towels on day 1, asked for more coffee every day, and also had to ask for coffee filters for the Chemex provided in the room. It just seemed like they were rationing everything instead of trying to make it a 5-star experience.

Our stay was so lovely. The cabin was perfectly decorated inside & out, was very clean, and had everything we needed. The fire pits by the river were amazing. It was SO quiet. Rain on the roof was a treat. As we heard the train horn early 1 morning, we imagined it was bc there were animals on the track being warned… ?? It will be an absolutely perfect location when the restaurant reopens

Baker’s Creek Lodge is a true mountain gem. The cabins are exceptionally clean, and the staff are warm and welcoming. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain and forest views, the setting offers a perfect mix of tranquility and natural beauty. Cabin features a private jacuzzi—ideal for unwinding in comfort. The loose filtered coffee provided is outstanding, rich in flavor and a delightful way to start the day. Inside, the cozy fireplace adds charm, while the outdoor seating by the river creates a soothing atmosphere with the gentle sounds of flowing water. The only drawback is the nearby train tracks, which can be noisy at times. However, with the windows closed, the sound is barely noticeable and does not interfere with rest or relaxation. Overall, Baker’s Creek delivers a peaceful, high-quality mountain escape. Highly recommended for those seeking comfort, nature, and a touch of rustic luxury.

This place is awesome, and almost perfect. What cannot be beat are the amazing staff and the beauty of the location. The rooms are BIG, and the beds are very comfortable. You almost don’t want to leave to venture out. The only reason this does not earn 4 stars is the lack of food options. Beware: DON’T come without provisions. The little store is not so well stocked and the burritos leave much to be desired. It is a 25 minute drive one way to get food. But the coffee IS good. And bring bug spray!

We had an amazing stay at Baker Creek Base Camp! The location, designed in a beautiful blockhouse style, was absolutely stunning and full of charm. Everything felt super cozy — from the warm interiors to the peaceful surroundings, it was the perfect mountain getaway. One unexpected highlight was the old-school fitness room, which added a really cool and unique touch to the experience. The whole place has such a special atmosphere, combining rustic charm with comfort. Plus, the nature all around was breathtaking — the perfect backdrop for hikes or just relaxing and taking it all in. Definitely a place we’d love to come back to!

We loved staying here! The cabins were cozy and beautiful. The firepits were wonderful! Being next to the creek was relaxing. Stargazing with friends was one of the many highlights of our stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful with our questions. We would definitely stay here again and will keep an eye out for other Basecamp accommodations on future trips.

Cozy and welcoming atmosphere with full set of utilities on site. The WiFi was a bit spotty but given its remote location it's good enough for us. We did not have time to use the sauna and gym as we were staying for one night only and we had a long day before checking in. Definitely be coming back! Wonderful place to relax and be disconnected from the city.

We were very pleased with our two nights stay. We had a lovely jacuzzi suite that was cozy and inviting. We absolutely loved relaxing in the tub although it seemed that some features may not have been working properly or maybe it was the operator lol! Either way it was clean and comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable and clean, we enjoyed the sound of birds chirping in the mornings and the complimentary coffee was great and enjoyed with some local entertainment- VERY CUTE LITTLE SQUIRL. For the price point I would have expected the room to be dusted somewhat better as the ceiling fan was dirty and cob webs were in various places🤔 but hey, it is the mountains, I guess it added to the rustic vibes a cabin should be right? An unfortunate downside was the noise from the guests above us, I could understand some footsteps and creeks, but hearing love birds all night in the bed above use was somewhat unsettling…honey-mooners perhaps 🙈 The staff was friendly and the overall atmosphere was A+, we are hopeful to be happy returning guests in the future!

Yelp
Beautiful cabins minutes away from Lake Louise and super close to other amazing sights like Bow/Peyto lake, Emerald lake, Takkakaw falls, Moranf's curve etc. We rented a cabin for a few days and had a nice time. There's enough space for 2 adults and 2 kids, the cabin had a small patio, a loft, a kitchenette, and a comfy bed. The site had also a small gift / coffee shop and a sauna. The pool / jacuzzi seemed to be closed when we were there. The reason for 4 stars is that it is overpriced for what it is, in my opinion. Nightly rate is quite high (like a 4 or 4.5 star hotel in a major city), but the value isn't there besides the "cute" factor of a cabin. While this place is advertised as a 3-star resort, there's no dining option on site, you're supposed to wash dishes upon checkout (or you'll be charged a fee for excessive cleaning), and there's no 24-hour reception. The location is great though and the cabins are more unique than a typical hotel or lodge. For sensitive sleepers, keep in mind there are trains nearby. We couldn't really hear them, and I actually train noises. Overall, a good option if you're tired of typical hotels and want something different.

Yelp
Super cute cabins and lodges in the woods, alongside a scenic creek. I wanted to divide up our trip so that we had different experiences. This was the rustic luxury part of our trip. We stayed in the main lodge in a one bedroom suite. There was a good pullout couch in the living room. There is a small kitchen with appliances, dishes, etc. fresh ground coffee is available at the front desk. I love Rocky Mountain Soap Company and their products stocked the washrooms. We had a balcony on the Fri T and on the side, creek views. The restaurant was under repair and the pool may have been closed for the season. Next to the front desk is a little shop with snacks and little gifts. Matches are available at the front desk to use at any of the fire pits set up around the resort. If you do want s'mores etc, I would recommend grabbing your own provisions in town on the way. 15 minutes from Lake Louise and right off the Iceland's Parkway, this is a great location that is a little quieter from the village.

Yelp
Great stay. Beautiful room and surrounding. Comfortable. Unreliable wifi is not a big problem. Front desk staff is very nice. Chemex coffee is excellent

Yelp
The average real-feel temperature while we visited the Lake Louise area from Dec 27 - Dec 30 was -6°f, and we never once felt a slight chill inside our incredibly toasty cabin (#10). Chris, the GM, was invaluable. He was very responsive in the days leading up to our trip (aka the day after Christmas) and recommended the safest route of passage for us from the airport, which -- Fun Fact! -- is NOT Google or Apple Maps' recommended route, which is apparently pretty treacherous at this time of year. Chris also pointed us towards our favorite restaurant in the area, The Lake Louise Station Restaurant, which I also highly recommend. We look forward to experiencing Baker Creek Resort during the summer as well and are already brainstorming a trip for summer '23 (hopefully Covid will finally be a thing of the past by then!).

Yelp
Charming place, loved the River and fire pits for s'mores. The Bistro was closed and non existent. The room was spacious and the jacuzzi a nice extra. But if you come to sleep, the noise from the constant trains every 90 min and the heat with no AC made a good rest impossible. We will not be returning.

Yelp
If I gave this review the first time I visited, it would have been five stars. A random find while I was searching for a place to disappear with my partner, we were mesmerized by how lucky we were to find this place. Cute chalets near bow valley parkway, first time everything was amazing. From the reception, the rooms with a view, silence, jacuzzi and cleanliness was top notch. We were fortunate to see a grizzly mama bear and her cub in the premises, not too far from us. This was during second wave of covid, at lake Louise, not many places to get food and at the restaurant on sight, it was slightly expensive. The second time, different staff, different approach. We had to wait till a bit to check in because rooms were not ready, reception was alright but lacked customer experience skills. This time we learnt our lesson and brought our own food. Third time was early this month. Very late to check in. Guess what, the rooms were not ready. I had to wait till the second person in the reception finally came to the adjacent coffee shop to order a coffee. I did not see a Manager in the premises, if so I would have told him that someone needs to step up. One more thing, this is a pet friendly place, prior to our visit, my partner had informed them our pet was coming with us. However, it was not on any record and we were not provided with any pet bed or food but were charged which I thought was not fair. All in all,I don't think we will visit them for a long time!

Yelp
I adore this restaurant and this hotel... There's something to be said for an amazing log cabin with an actual woodfired fireplace with real wood and the staff keep it stocked and burning happily all the way through your meal! There's nothing that turns me off faster than walking into a hotel or a restaurant or a lounge with a cold empty black fireplace... I mean honestly what does that say it's not very inviting. The food here is amazing and even more important and the staff are incredible I absolutely love the customer service. I've stayed here three times and unfortunately now that I'm no longer married I realize I can't handle the sticker shock, when I came here with my ex husband and kids I didn't realize how expensive the cabins were. Who can afford $450 per night! In future though I'm gonna do some research and see if they have cheaper rooms in the hotel itself rather than the standalone cabins. The best point of the hotel anyway is the location as I have a family membership at Lake Louise Ski Hill and it's lovely to be able to be so close. ....... Plus the last time we stayed here in the summertime we were lucky enough to see an amazing massive male grizzly bear from the safety of our porch and walked right past her cabin and then ate dandelions for a while...... I'll look and see if I still have photos.......Thank you baker creek!!!!! I can't wait to see you again !

Yelp
The manager at the Baker Creek Mountain Resort completely ripped me & numerous other people off. He & the staff charged multiple people double the price of what was agreed upon over the phone when The reservation was booked, about a month and a half earlier. DOUBLE! This completely ruined what could have been such a nice time. It was so stressful dealing with the manager & the staff there & it took hours of arguing with them...in the end they had charged my credit card, as well as my friends DOUBLE...what was agreed upon. 5 other parties of people that I booked & stayed there with, the manager & staff also attempted to con out of money. He said that if we could provide proof of the original price that was agreed upon he would honor it. I checked my email & realized there was zero documentation/confirmation the "resort" provided. Three other people DID have documentation, so he honored the correct price. I had taken a screen shot on my phone of the transaction at the time I booked & showed it to them-They still did NOT honor the price we originally agreed to. Even though it was obvious that my price clearly should have been the same price as the others who booked within our group at the exact same time, for the exact same rate. I'm never staying at the Baker Creek Mountain Resort again & I definitely won't be recommending them to anyone either. Total con job.
