The most generous Too Good To Go bag. Delicious sweet bread and amazing breakfast bread

Great bakery for take home breads and cakes, or enjoying the cappuccino, juices and sweets. The back room has comfortable chairs and a garden feel. Great sidewalk tables if you can stand the traffic, 20% EVs still leave 80% fossil fumes.

Friendly and helpful staff. I've been coming here each Friday now for a couple of years and I've never been let down. Serves good coffee and sweet pastries but the star of the show is their bread. A mite expensive compared to supermarket bread, but easily three times as good. I wholeheartedly recommend the "Grovt Speltbrød"!

A bit pricy, but quiet and friendly service.

Venerable bakery now also a chain of coffee shops/bakeries. This space is well ventilated, with plenty of seating in the back, very decent pastries. They make the sandwiches in the shop, and will even build one to order, making for a very fresh and good lunch. The coffee is a bit uninspired, but well within standards of freshness and consistency. Would recommend if you're in the area and need a breather.

As a Frenchman I'm really into bakeries, and as you may have noticed, it's not an easy task to find good ones in Oslo. To be honest I wasn't really a big fan of Baker Hansen, because it is too "Scandinavian" for my tastes: they are more into cinnamon, raisins and cardamom than chocolate, almonds and pistachio. But living now with someone with Celiac disease, I discovered that it's even more impossible to find decent baking goods. Baker Hansen for that are by far the best you can find in Oslo. They really do have a great selection of gluten free products. So this is now my go-to bakeries in Oslo.

I walked into Baker Hansen St. Hanshaugen on 17th May and I had something in between pastry and yogurt - it was really good! The service is of course outstanding, I felt welcome. I enjoyed my stay!

Yelp
They're called 'Baker' Hansen and so obviously they do bread. Their bread is good. Buy the bread. They also make a range of coffees, smoothies, cakes, and sandwiches. All of it is pretty much as you'd expect. The quality is better than Espresso House and similar to Kaffebrenneriet, in my opinion. This store has indoor and outdoor seating. If it's busy it can be a little hectic inside, but otherwise a nice place to grab a snack or lunch or brunch. You're out of luck if you need wheelchair or stroller access because you need to go up large steps. Overall, Baker Hansen is nothing to write home about, but I'd say it's a nice pit stop for an average Sunday.
