Pretty good hotel! The room was clean (bed made every day), bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. The tavern had really good breakfast. Only complaint was that the shower had trouble draining so you have to be careful. It’s a very short walk into town but there is a steep hill to walk up on your way back.

The service was excellent. The rooms were quiet, very clean, the bedding was comfortable, plenty of bathroom amenities. Two minor issues, there is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage legging the stairs; and the AC/heating was a little noisy.

The hotel has a great location — within walking distance to major attractions, with many restaurants and shops nearby. Very convenient for getting around. However, I was disappointed with this stay. I booked a room with a balcony and a view, but the balcony was under construction and completely unusable. There was no prior notice from the hotel. Construction started at 7 AM every morning, and the noise seriously affected my rest. I recommend the hotel be more transparent about room conditions and inform guests in advance if there is any ongoing construction that could affect the stay.

Bad check-in experience: Tried to check-in at 4pm, and was told that room was not ready. Please to wait 30 minutes. Well it was close to an hour and a half before we finally got into the room. Other guests lining up for check-in were waiting 20-30 minutes. Felt sorry for the receptionist - she was working single handed. Not her fault. Stressful situation. For the inconvenience I felt that we deserved something better than a simple “I’m sorry”. This hotel does not deserved to be designated as 4 star.

I saw the reviews people left with lower ratings but our experience was positive all around. Our room was clean, spacious. We had a dog with us and it was convenient that we stayed in the room 218, which was close to the side door to take the dog out. We used their laundry service and we ordered food and alcoholic drinks to our room (no room service, so it was like a take out). Food was good and drinks were delicious. Front staff (Viola) was very patient (I asked a lot of questions) and professional. We would stay again.

Friendly and helpful staff on reception. |Clean and spacious room.|Good value for money.|The restaurant attached to the hotel has a great view of the river below and the food is pub quality. Only downside is it closes at 9pm and no facility to get an alcoholic drink after 9pm.

Room screen ripped, adjoining door filthy, bed not comfortable and overpriced. $290.00 one night with 13lb poodle. only good thing view is nice ocean Gaspe but much nicer hotels past Gaspe. Front desk asked if we had dog we answered yes and we were put in dog room. We were contacted again and asked if we had dog in movie room! told them no but was annoyed interrupted 2x. Do not stay in room 218. I asked to speak to manager they advised he only excepts emails. I sent email no response.

Very good ambience, courteous front desk staff, lobby was very stylish during the holiday season. It's not the most luxurious hotel seen but for the type of hotel it was a great experience and no complaints. It was very clean, the room has a nice layout, I loved the colour and the view from the room. The restaurant was A grade (I mean being at the edge of a peninsula ) didn't expect to find much out here but it was so good (great food, nice ambiance, loved the music, excellent servers and service).

Beautiful place. Came here by snowmobile. Rooms a nice size. Hot shower and very comfortable beds. Clean and a nice view of the water.
