Baker’s Dozen Bagels

We ordered the bagels for delivery to our hotel. I ordered the everything bagel with chive and bacon. It's soft on the inside and has a slight crunch on the outside. My son ordered the garlic bagel with egg and jalapeño cream cheese. I would have like liked it more if or was toasted, but since it was delivered, it was fine. It was convenient. Took about an hour for delivery. I didn't go to the shop in person, but would go if I was in the area again.

Great bagel on Fresh Pond Rd! Solid, reliable, and always hits the spot. They have several types of bagels, flavored cream cheese, and sandwiches. Excellent staff, quick wait time, and reasonable prices. I really recommend the Lox Package, which really scratches the itch for smoked salmon. Of course, a regular or everything bagel with scallion cream cheese is good too.

I’ve been coming here since their opening. I love their bagels and their delicious, filling sandwich options. I’ve had plenty of bacon egg and cheese and ham egg and cheese here on everything bagels. Today I got “ The Sammy” on everything. They have such a varied selection, I tried to take photos of their rotating menu options. There’s a variety of cream cheese and other spreads, along with danishes, muffins, and other sweets. They also carry (Maspeth local) Hal’s potato chips and seltzer products. You can come in and place your order, or you can order ahead for pickup. Either way, keep supporting our Ridgewood locals! 💕

Best bagel place in Ridgewood Queens. Have your order ready when called upon as the staff move fast. The can take care of a long queue. Don't be discouraged by a lot of people, the staff are efficient. Besides most are probably already waiting for their order to be filled. They make excellent sandwiches on excellent bagels. Come early for bialis as they sell out fast. There are high top tables with only room enough for four people to sit on the high top stools. The outside tables were occupied despite the cold. We opted to eat in the car. So to the question; dine in? Not likely.

Edit: Baker’s Dozen bagels responded with excellent customer service so i’ve amended my rating to 3 stars (original review is below). I still hope they taste-test their scallion creamcheese and check if food dye was added because both times something was seriously off. On delivery apps, i hope they add an option to order a baker’s dozen and do include a 13th bagel with it. Ive ordered from here twice now to give it a second chance. Both times i ordered the same thing- bagel with scallion creamcheese, the bagel was fine but both times the scallion cream cheese was so off/bad and i spit it out both times. I had to take the creamcheese off and put on regular philly creamcheese from the store. They also put green food coloring in the creamcheese? It was gross. Also, pretty disappointed that a place called “Baker’s Dozen” doesnt actually offer baker’s dozen bagels on their menu? I had to buy 2 half dozens and they don’t even give you a free bagel. Not a fan of this place at all.

Straight fire!!! Bagels are crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside…like they actually know what they’re doing.

I had a BLT this morning and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Everything looked and tasted fresh. The atmosphere is pretty chill and the staff is very friendly and energetic! Will definitely come back!

Incredible bagels and sandwiches. Like spend wayyy more than I normally do good. I really like their hashtag breakfast sandwiches. It's crispy and salty and I get it almost every morning. The owners are super welcoming and friendly. Good atmosphere and get you your food in a timely manner. Best breakfast spot in the city

You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu, best specialty bagels in the area by far. Don't write off on the pastries as well! Appreciation to the staff and owner as well, as times change and care moves from community to profit, bakers dozen keeps their values close to them and sticks to doing things the right way.

Great bagels and really great customer service. I loved the scallion cream cheese. It's whipped up to a lively green. Very nice!

I absolutely love this local bagel shop! Their bagels and spreads are fantastic, consistently fresh and flavorful. Plus, they often include homemade pistachio muffins with orders--such a delicious bonus!

Service was quick. They have many delicious choices. Every Sunday they have stuffed bagels which I'm coming back for to try. I ordered the hash sandwich which was good. Area was clean and they are very friendly.

Ordered and paid for one omelette that never came. Waited 40 minutes before leaving. Don't go here, there's like 15 employees walking around doing nothing and they don't care at all.

I've been here in Ridgewood on and off for the past 6 months and most mornings we try different bagel places. I think I've finally found the place for great bagels here in Ridgewood. The place is small but clean and have your usual bagel choices. There's a small sitting area inside and a couple of tables outside but it's mostly takeout. My sesame bagel was toasted just right with the right amount of cream cheese. It certainly is the New York bagel I've been used to. The staff was friendly and service was fast. It's almost a mile from our place but definitely worth the walk!

I ordered A everything bagel with cucumber dill cream cheese, lox, capers and red onions. I also ordered an italian hero (Godfather but with no pepperoni) Both were awesome.

If you are ever in Ridgewood, Queens on Fresh Pond Road you have to make a stop at Baker's Dozen Bagels. They have a variety of speciality sandwiches, wraps, bagels, and homemade flavored cream cheeses. Their coffee station is filled with different flavored syrups, milk and dairy free options. I love their cold brew (it's really strong) and gives you enough energy to tackle the day! My go-to is a whole wheat bagel or wrap with egg whites, swiss cheese, and turkey bacon. If you'd like extra protein ask for extra Turkey bacon (extra bacon is always a good idea). Rico and the rest of the employees are super nice and ambiance is always clean. Refrigerated drinks are always stocked and if you aren't a coffee drinker, try their iced tea! The cucumber dill or pimento cream cheese was delicious on a toasted bagel. Let's keep GREAT bagel stores in business because they're one in a DOZEN and this one is TOP TIER!

Visiting family and stopped here for breakfast. I'd love to say we took pics but everything was so good, we demolished it! Service: Busy Saturday and the service was amazing!! We had a pretty big order, but not a long wait. Hoping to stop by again, before our trip ends, to check out some of the different spreads.

Seriously, best new local bagel store. So grateful because this part of Queens has so few bagel places! The bagels are crispy fresh, menu is super diverse, the staff is friendly, food is made fast, and it's good! Turkey bacon BLT hollaa.

This place is as legit as NYC bagel shops get First of all, and best of all, they remember you. I walked in and they knew exactly what I wanted even though it was only my second time here (props). Their bagels are also, importantly, absolutely on point. This is the kind of place you don't ask for your sandwich or even buttered bagel toasted. My go-to is a bacon egg and cheese, which is done perfectly, though you can't go wrong with standard-issue cream cheese on a plain/everything either. The real hidden gem at Bakers Dozen though are the pastries. The apple turnover is so good that I can't seem to walk away without one. All in all, this is a great local business with killer bagels, if you find yourself passing by and in need of a bagel stop in and support the super nice guys who run this shop. _________ *You don't toast a fresh NYC bagel, its against the rules.

This business friendly and professional. I always come with my grandmother and they always make us feel like home. Also there food is always fresh and store is very clean

I am giving them three stars because they are incredibly snow. I don't know if it's better to order online and pick up because it seems like when people did that the their orders were ready when they arrived but putting your order in, in person both times took a long time. they are the closest bagel shop near me so I will probably be going there again and they have a good variety of bagels and spreads and I'm interested in trying their lunch sandwiches but I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone that isn't willing to wait a long time, like 20 minutes, for their bagel and cream cheese.

Egg whites, bacon, lettuce, and tomato on a flat everything bagel was $16. It was good but the high price is definitely a deterrent. You've been warned.

Can't go wrong with any of their egg bagels.Service is always great, the lunch sandwiches are freshly made and tasty.

Service was excellent but food is terrible. I got Tuscan Panini and it was disgusting. The chicken cutlet was hard like rock and very poor quality. Taste like from microwave. How you can serve this for people and charge 13$ !!! Never again !!! Waste of money ! Super disappointed.

We've been looking forward to try this place since the signs went up during renovation. Been going out less, so just noticed it was open last week. Hah! Finally tried it today. It may not replace our fav spot in Astoria but this more than great for those lazy weekends when we just wanna stay in the neighborhood. Got a variety of things to try today from sausage egg and cheese to flavored cream cheese to just plain flavored bagels. The sesame, cheddar and garlic bagels were chewy with a nice crust. Oddly, the plain was bit softer but maybe it was coz of the multiberry cream cheese filling? The berry cream cheese was bit too smooth almost buttery, would prefer it less churned and chunky. Overall, a great addition to the neighborhood. We'll definitely be back to try the french toast bagel (ran out today), other spreads and sandwiches.

Support this business because it was a black owned business and I was looking for fresh made bagels. the staff was kind and attentive . It's quite a distance from where I live but I wasn't disappointed; I got a dozen mini bagels, fresh lox cream cheese and a egg bagel with lox and sun-dried tomato cream cheese . The only con is the distance from where I live but I'll support whenever I can .

My favorite bagel place!! I am so happy they opened a few blocks from me. I won't go anywhere else now. I order from them frequently & I love that they don't over charge, great quality ingredients, strong coffee (I drink it black), and the service is AMAZING. The guys in here are so nice! I love that they deliver too! I did delivery a few times & got my food on time.. but I usually just walk in since I live so close. I always get different stuff - bagel & lox, cold cuts on a bagel, bacon egg and cheese to name a few - all amazing. For the bad review comments below based on delivery service -- I think people need to understand that it is hard to find delivery staff especially someone with a car & need to be a little more understanding before ordering delivery. Also the world doesn't revolve around one customer demanding they are the first delivery out. Sorry bud.

Ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a onion bagel toasted Bagel was barely toasted and overall I would give this breakfast sandwich a 3/5

I really love this place but this is the second time i get a burnt bagel. Please try not to give the customers the burnt bagels guys. There is great food here I will keep coming back

This place is a little gem. So happy I found it because they have so many options to choose from and they are all have been so good. What I really appreciate from them is that if you write a note on your order actually read it and if they are not sure they call you to double check. Great job! I have ordered; the sammy (great choice and deff a full meal), the breakfast platter with french toasts (home fries, ham, eggs, cheese - order if hungry) they throw in two little muffins which I have learned to love the surprise (you never know which flavors you are going to get so fun treat) the sandwiches are good, well balanced and decent amounts. They are not stingy for sure. Great taste, good portions! Keep it up Baker's.

The bagels themselves are top-notch, however, the schmear was thin. I recommend the poppy seed bagels.

Somehow when you order food at the counter they don't make it. Told 2xs it's coming out. Waited 25 minutes and they didn't even start it. The people making the sandwich didn't even know I ordered. Out $9.

words can't describe the food but if you ain't eating from here then you missing out man. They know how to cook their food amazingly, every day it hits the spot! They def bless it for the price because even the corner deli won't put this much love to the sandwiches. My new go-to and not to mention their customer service , A1. Support this business!

I can't in good conscience give this four stars even tho I get bagels from this place every week. If it was in some part of the city that was saturated with good bagels, it would be left in the dust. There is nothing wrong with the food, although it's nothing stellar. My main thing is the weird macho vibe walking in there. None of the dudes write down any of what you order, so you either walk away with missing stuff or you have to reiterate your order three times. The baked goods are like supermarket baked goods. The coffee is like church coffee. But the owners are hella friendly, I usually come away with a good sandwich, and I live in Ridgewood where there are no good bagel places. I will continue to come here.

Nice, fairly new, bagel emporium a short walk from my apartment. I always get friendly service with my order, and sometimes an interesting conversation too, if they are slow. They have a good selection of bagels and they are large and soft. I haven't had a bad experience here yet, and don't really think I ever will.

Just ordered bagels for the first time. They were delivered on time, warm and delicious! They threw in two mini muffins, which were also very good. Really nice touch and will definitely be back soon!

In the beginning they were great. Now it's just a mess. No consistency. My order is always wrong. I won't be ordering from here anymore. Make sure you double check your order every time you get something.

Extremely disappointed over my experience coming into this place today. I have ordered from Bakers dozen countless times and it seems they've gotten too greedy. Asked for a small coffee in a large cup as I like a lot of milk. Guy said he would have to charge for a large cup. So he pours me less than half of a small cup. Total jerk. Not coming back here again.

Bakers Dozen Bagels catered my backyard party this past Sunday. We ordered 4 ft Italian and 4 ft American heros. The food was delicious and the free pickles and salads were a big plus. I will be using their services again and referring my friends and family. Thank you Rico.

Super happy that a 5 star bagel spot opened up in Ridgwood. But this place is way more than bagels. The sandwiches rule.

I called at 7:30 am, as last week I was told the delivery guy only comes in at 8:00. Lorenzo took 18 minutes to take a small order, and was rude . I asked for the manager but he said he was the manager . He isn't . I explained I needed the order to be out for the first delivery today , as I need to leave for the hospital . He said ok . The order did not come after 40 minutes ; I called and he put the phone down. Rude, unaccommodating and too stressful in the morning . They are always arguing between themselves if you go in the store . Lorenzo should not be working with the public . I don't expect arguments when all I want to do is order bagels . Needs new management.

I like the Bagels but it's annoying that people working there can't count. It is a second time I bought Wednesday special dozen bagels for $10 but first time I got only 9 and the last time 11 .

This place is the best and I am so glad I found it. I ordered food through the app - cold cuts, a sandwich and coffee to pick up. When I arrived I was pleased to see the store is extremely clean and organized well. I was greeted when I walked in and my order was prepared and ready on time. The owner is very friendly and the food was excellent. Will definitely go back and I highly recommend this place.

i really loved this place at first. the staff was friendly. the food was good. the last few times ive went ive had them mess up my order & this time was my breaking point. i order my bagel on the phone & go to pick it up. i go in & wait on the line & for some reason the white man at the register thought it was cool to be rude to me and skip me to ring up a white woman. as a black woman this did not sit right with me as he then proceeded to not even say anything to me at all while ringing me up AFTER THE WHITE WOMAN. not to mention i stated that i was waiting & was told to wait. rude as hell. im not going back.

Delicious bagels & cream cheeses! So many flavors to choose from also hot sandwiches and omelettes at a pretty decent price . The place is run very well , always clean and everyone is very nice .

These guys are amazing! 10 out of 10 customer service and their food is delicious! Just what Ridgewood needed! :)
