Their team was reliable, communicated clearly throughout the process, and consistently showed up on time. We had an emergency at our 100+ year old home when we found moisture inside of an upstairs wall. I got a referral from a trusted realtor to reach out to Bakker. From the start, the process was professional and responsive. After searching for the source of the moisture, first up on the roof, then inside the wall, they determined that a very old pipe junction was leaking. Tyler coordinated roofing, plumbing, and electrical contractors who all got the job done quickly. Great experience.

Bakker Construction provided design build services for our home in Salinas and they were amazing to work with. We cannot recommend them more. We had some idea of what we wanted for our complete kitchen remodel, but definitely could not have pulled it all together without their help. They were professional from start to finish and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The before and after transformation was dramatic! We are still so impressed with the results and can hardly believe this is our kitchen.

Bakker Construction provided design build services for our home in Monterey. The previous owners let the home slide into disrepair after they built it in 1952. It was a challenge to restore the home. Bakker Construction worked with us to prioritize refurbishment issues, understand the cost, and do the design, all without lots of fuss. They resolved issues with the City in a timely matter. Their designs were great and we love what they did, more every year. The crew and Shawn were honest about costs and timing. We most appreciated the integrity with which Shawn manages his business....fair wages, workers comp...all the issues that we feel are important in running a business.

Bakker Construction provided design build services for our home in Carmel Valley. This was no small project. First was a new 1500 sq. ft addition with a loft and huge deck. It far exceeded our expectations & is just beautiful. When that was completed we had the existing 100 year old cottage remodeled. Needless to say surprises popped up frequently. Bakker's crew always had creative solutions to fix the issues. The cottage is now perfect. Everyone who worked here was very professional and sensitive to our needs as we were living here during both projects. We spent the better part of 2 years working with Bakker Construction and have only the highest regards for this company. Their skill, attention to detail, integrity made it all worth while. We are extraordinarily pleased with both projects.

Shawn and his team at Bakkar Construction did an amazing remodel of our home in Carmel-by-the-Sea. We were one of those clients that weren’t 100% of what exactly was possible or feasible. Throughout the process, they worked with us and our designer to realize the project as we envisioned it and to help us stay within the budget. We purchased at 1947 home in Salinas which was in need of some serious upgrades including the kitchen, piping, and electrical work. Bakker Construction was a dream to work with. They listed to our needs and desires, and helped us design and permit renovations to our home that would not take away from the character of the house. We were on a budget and they helped to find the right materials for the job. They made what can be a stressful process, very easy.
