Food
I went for the three-course set menu. The first course was a fish soup. The portion was on the smaller side (since it was a starter), but it had a generous amount of salmon, shrimp, and mussels. It was really tasty!
Next up was the reindeer stew. I wasn’t sure if it was meant to be the main course or just the “next course,” since the portion was about the same size as the starter. I get that reindeer is a pricier ingredient, and the restaurant offers a reasonably priced three-course meal (especially compared to others in town), but does it really need to be the same size as the starter? Don’t get me wrong—it was delicious, but not the best reindeer stew I’ve ever had. The dish came with one potato, which was a very dry.
For dessert, I had the apple cake. It was fine, but nothing to write home about.
Overall, the portions were pretty small for a three-course dinner, so we ended up ordering main course size of a chicken salad (about 250kr) on the side to fill us up. Even though the set menu seems like a good deal, it ended up being a bit pricier than expected.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere was cozy and down-to-earth, but it’s interesting—they serve their meals on Royal Copenhagen dishes, which adds an unexpected touch of elegance to the place.
Service
The staff were nice and friendly, but it seemed like only one person was handling orders and serving food and drinks, so it could get a little slow at times.
Cost
It’s not super cheap. Expect to pay around 650-700 kr per person if you want to leave feeling full and satisfied.
