Bakubung Bush Lodge

An absolute gem of a timeshare, from our check in with complimentary dounuts and juice, to the friedly staff we knew this was a special. Our chalet was well equipped with everything thing that we would need during our stay. Our first night was an absolute blessing and we had a wonderful rest in the soft sheets and bed. We all woke up refreshed and well rested commenting onthe very comfortable beds. We are do grateful to the Pilanesberg national park fir giving us free access to the game reserve for our stay, we really enjoy the oark and saw many animals, including some of the Big 5. The resurant is well equipped and their meals were delicious and once again very friendly and helpful staff. In all this was tryly a wonderful stay and a time of pampering, enjoying nature, connecting with family and friends and most of all getting the rest from our daily routines we so desperately needed. Once again, Thank you Bakubang Bush Lodge we had a special time.

This trip had been cancelled last year August due to a medical emergency. The booking agent and Bakubung Bush Lodge were really very accommodating in deferring this booking for me. So it was really awesome to get here. Was not disappointed , from the reception, restaurant, pool / pool bar grounds , everything was just perfect. Felt most welcome and always greeted with a genuine smile. The game drives were fantastic and the guides really talented, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Felt really recharged at the end of the stay.

The staff are all so friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms are stunning, clean and well kept. The drivers for the game drives are knowledgeable, friendly and do their very best to make it the best they can. Every meal we had was delicious. Genuinely impressed with every aspect of this place. ||I had my elderly aunty with me, it wasn’t the most wheelchair friendly place but they upgraded our rooms so she didn’t have any steps to climb. Can’t complain about anything at all.

We loved our stay at Bakubung! The location inside Pilanesberg is unbeatable – you can hear the sounds of the bush from your room and sometimes even spot animals right by the fence. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had a lovely balcony for morning coffee while watching the sunrise. The twice-daily game drives were the highlight – our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and seemed to have a sixth sense for finding wildlife. We saw elephants, rhinos, lions, giraffes, and so much more! Meals were generous and tasty, with plenty of choice. After the early morning drive, breakfast felt especially well-earned. The staff were warm, helpful, and made us feel completely at home. Overall, Bakubung offers the perfect blend of comfort, wildlife, and great service. Highly recommend for both families and couples looking for a malaria-free safari adventure

The staff are fantastic, 10/10. Stayed in the executive suite, the size and layout of which was very nice. Unfortunately the toilet is not in a separate room (just closed off with glass) and the view was of the swimming pool, which was a let-down. Noteworthy was the size and comfort of the bed, which I am also very grateful for. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel is buffet, which for the most part is not too bad. Would definitely not recommend the bush braai, most clients’ plates were left with a lot food in them. The game rangers are very knowledgeable and the vehicles are well looked after, but obviously, as it is a tourist attraction, you have to accept the reality that a lot of your game drive will be spent watching impala and blue wildebeest.

I had such an amazing time staying with my best friend's family at this resort! From the moment we arrived, everything was lovely. The rooms were spotless and had such a relaxing vibe – it really felt like a home away from home. The spa was an absolute highlight! I treated myself to a few treatments, and the experience was top-notch. The pool was gorgeous – a perfect spot to chill and soak up the sun. One of the standout experiences for me was the safari drive. It was an incredible adventure, and I got to see some wildlife up close, which was such a unique and exciting experience. The staff were all so friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. Their service really stood out, and it made the whole stay even better. The only thing I would have loved to see improved is more halaal options at the restaurant. As much as the food was great, having a halaal menu would have been the cherry on top. But other than that, everything was flawless! I really had the best time here and can’t wait to come back!

A beautiful self contained villa in an amazing setting. Lots of space for our family of 3 generations. Wild life visible from our back patio. Easy access to Pilansberg National Park with lots of animal sightings. Pleasant, helpful staff
