Balai sa Baibai

Balai sa Baibai in Camiguin was an amazing experience. I stayed there from the 7th till the 16th of January. Made 15 dives, had a massage and made a very special culinary journey. Balai sa Baibai is picturesque, intimate and has a great staff and team. Very hospitable and really focussed on giving you the best experience possible. The food is super. When you book half board you get to decide every day what your 3 course dinner is going to be. Every day with a certain theme, like local dishes, international or Italian or French cuisine.||The dives were also special. A professional and helpful team. The guides base the selection of the dive site(s) not only on weather and such but also on what you enjoy most. Corals, macro, frogfishes, etc.||Great rooms with all the facilities you need. Perfect week staying in this lovely little gem. From the moment I arrived the service was great, always with a smile from the staff and the owners who were always onsite went over and above (thanks for specially ordering the zero% beer). The food was top rated and the 5 course Christmas meal that we shared together was stunning. This place has a real family feel to it. The rooms and facilities match the top service. The onsite dive centre Coraya Divers is also top rated, I completed 12 dives. I highly recommend this little gem.

Awesome dive operation! Professional, clean, safe and fun. Comfortable, large new boat. Exceptional guides. Good prices. Nitrox available. They went out of their way to take us to different dive sites. They even picked us up and delivered us from our lodging.

We stay here for about 5 days. And had a wonderful experience. Everyone is really nice, Service is good, all are very helpful. Food in the Restaurant is also good and fair from prices. The whole hotel is clean and trim and very sweet. I like the natural style and that is not a biig cement building. The Massage is also very good. Our last Hotel in past (Moalboal) was horrible, so the make good memories for us in the Philippines. I definitely recommend and would come here again. PS: Next to the resort and our room there's a construction site but it's not really annoying and don't bothered us really.

We were here for diving and ate at the Restaurant. Diving is perfectly organized (see Coraya Divers Camiguin). Food was very tasty and served in style, they even made an exeption and served it later, so that we could eat after the night dive. Service was also very good. Can't say anything about the rooms as we didn't stay here, but we definitly will next time. The hotel looks super cool and well thought.

Balai sa Baibai is a place you don't want to leave. We arrived late because of our delayed ferry and the receptionist and owners were still waiting for us and gave us a warm welcome. Even when the kitchen was already closed they prepared dinner for us. The dive center is located in the resort and a great choice of day tours will give you beautiful options to enjoy Camiguin. Diving is exceptionally beautiful, staff was always smiling and the equipment was clean and well maintained. Alessandra and Ramon are exceeding your expectations and will help/support you in all matters. We really enjoyed our stay to the max and hope to be back one day for an even longer stay.

Wonderful bali style resort, german dive shop, elegant restaurant, manicured gardens, friendly owner couple. Has variety of swimming pools, SUP boards, kayak, and outings. Highly recommend. Best place to stay in Camiguin for families and couples.

While staying with friends on Camiguin Island, Philippines, we visited Balai sa Bai Bai (The House on the Beach) outside Mambajao for sunset drinks on their beachside viewing platform; followed by dinner in the charming open air dining room, set above calming water pools. It was delightful. We were met by the Swiss owners Alessandra and Roman who supervised everything throughout. The sunset was superb, and dinner and drinks excellent. As well as the hotel, their main business is scuba diving, which we didn’t do - but judging by the owner’s charm and attention to detail, and comments from resident guests who were dining, they are very good at that too. Highly recommended for a romantic stay.
