Balangan Sea View Bungalow

Overall great experience from this hotel. Came here as it was recommended to me and it did not disappoint. The staff is always very friendly and open to help with any requests. The facilities are cleaned daily and the rooms are nice. The hotel is catered more towards those that are more budget-conscious, with minimal appliances but for the rates they offer, it's a great option. Right next to the beach—which is a five minute walk—you can quickly get from your room to the beach and back. The pool is also nice with some space for diving and swimming. The food options are immense and even though you have to pay the meals apart, they are relatively cheap with good portion sizes. There's also relatively cheap massage options which adds to the simplicity and energy of this modest, yet surprisingly great choice of an hotel.

There is a disgusting smell in the room. The bed linen is stained and stinks. There's no kettle for tea or coffee. The only plus is the location. I spent one night here because I couldn't cancel. I barely slept all night because of the smell. I had to open the window and spend the whole night fighting mosquitoes. I was glad to leave and am very glad I did. I will never come back here again!

Balangan Surf Resort is a amazing place to stay with bungalows overlooking beautiful gardens next to a lovely swimming pool. |The restaurant offers delicious wholesome food's which overlooks a famous surfing beach with cow's and baby calf's grazing a few metres away in front.

The location is great - just a short walk to the beach. However, the cleanliness left much to be desired. One of the windows had only a frame, so all the outside noise came straight in, making it hard to relax. There was no hot water at all, and I was told that the room I booked didn’t include it. That detail wasn’t mentioned anywhere in my booking, and honestly, it’s the first time I’ve ever heard of a 3-star hotel offering rooms without hot water.

Perfect stay for the price! The bathroom wasn’t the best, but honestly no big deal considering how cheap it was. Loved the food, great location for surfing, and the staff were always super nice and friendly.

The room was ace - my kids had a room upstairs and it kicked off the Bali holiday well. Great surfing beach close by. Staff were fine and food was good too.

Terrible. Infinitely BAD. I'm 34 years old and I've never been treated as badly as I was at this hotel. In the first 10 minutes after checking in, the room key broke inside the lock. The receptionist almost hit us and started yelling in front of everyone, claiming that the key was new and that we would have to pay. She got angry, threw a vase of water on the reception desk and got everyone wet. I asked her name and asked for the manager to be called, but she kept yelling in Indonesian, no one understood anything. Completely unprepared to serve the public. I sent a message to the management on WhatsApp and I simply continued to be treated badly. I hope the owners of this establishment choose their employees better because that justifies the bad rating you have on Google. I've been in Bali for 1 month and I've never had problems like this. Terrible employees!

The room was really bad. The room is old and dirty. It's not just that the facilities are old and need renovations and decent improvement. It's just that the room wasn't clean. The bed mosquito net was dirty and had holes so it was disgusting to use it. The bathroom had not been cleaned properly and it was unpleasant to use it.
