No words can definitely deserve to describe the scenery that you are about to see if visiting. Vibe, music, color, sea, sand, rocks, even cannons you will see there !
Visiting hints: Choose a sunny day, whichever time of the year to enjoy in its full glory.
Big capacity underground parking available in 5 minutes walking distance.
Instagram post is a must :)

A wonderful, unique, and exceptional viewpoint in the town of Nerja – they say it offers the most beautiful views on this part of the coast. We stopped here on our way from Cartagena to Malaga – there's an underground car park in the centre.
Nerja is one of those local, white coastal towns with an interesting attraction – caves with stalactites and stalagmites.

Balcón de Europa is a nice viewpoint with a beautiful panorama of the coastline and the sea. It’s well maintained and easy to reach from the town center. The area around it is lively, with cafés, restaurants, and small shops.
It can get quite crowded, especially during the day, so it’s best to visit early in the morning or later in the evening if you want a quieter experience.
Overall, it’s worth a visit for the view and atmosphere, though it feels more like a quick stop than a place to spend much time

Don’t miss it if you’re in the area. Amazing views, restaurants close by and near the old town of Nerja. Bit too crowded though, in off season it should be much pleasant, with few people around 🤣

Fantastic little town, can be very busy at times, service is very slow in most bars, I personally feel the Spanish people are not very friendly, but is no denying it is a beautifulutiful place

Yelp
The Balcón de Europa is an almost obligatory stop for everyone who visits Nerja. The name was supposed to had been given to this lookout point by King Alfonso XII. When he first saw the beautiful views, he just had to call it Balcon de Europa.
No one who goes to this town escapes from looking out at its famous viewpoint to enjoy a view that, on clear days, could reach to the horizon as far as the African coasts.
The viewpoint is probably the most visited attraction in Nerja. The easiest way to get there is on foot, since it is in a basically pedestrian area.
Enjoy the views !!!

Yelp
Before arrival I was 90% sure this was going to be touristy and overrated, and I was right. It is pretty with some nice views of the sea and some beaches. The people watching isn't all that great. You'll see lots of overweight and older British tourists and expats strolling along, while smoking their cigarettes or eating ice cream to expedite their already short lifespans, but still happy and enjoying retirement to the fullest. There's also the amateur street performers, typical of any European tourist spot. Japanese girls taking dozens and dozens of selfies of the same photo. In Nerja, you're not quite sure if you're Spain or Britain, but regardless the "Balcony of Europe" is a pleasant place to chill out.

Yelp
This balcony is situated on a rocky elevation and it is the focus point of this small Andalusian town of Nerja. Gorgeous views of the coast line. The promenade leading to it is pedestrian, where you will find, restaurants, shops, and many ice cream parlors. You can also the lovely little church nearby. Nearby you can visit the Nerja Caves in The small village of Maro.

Yelp
The balcon de Europa juts out from the coast of Nerja like a small natural pier. Despite the hustle and bustle of the town, there is a calmness that seems to descend on the Balcón. There is a couple of nice places for coffee (I was in the cafe El mirador). The also do food and drink, which looked nice enough. Alternatively, grab an ice cream and sit on one of the benches and enjoy the view.

Yelp
Some beautiful views spacious with lots of benches, lovely place to sit for a while.
Also, there's a great group of wild cats to make friends with!

Yelp
Such a beautiful place in the south of Spain. I highly recommend staying in Nerja. There are great restaurants in the entire area. Bamboo restaurant has great food and great views. Also recommend driving along the costa del sol and seeing some of the small cities along the way.

Yelp
Beautiful hidden gem. I stayed here for 2 weeks and could have stayed longer! Hotel Puerta Del Mar is great as well, and so close to the Balcon.
