Gorgeous trail! There’s parking and bathrooms at the trailhead. The fee is $5 for a day.
We did the loop counter clockwise and highly recommend it. That way you spend the last half of the hike with views of the gorgeous Cathedral Rock. This also gets the elevation climb out of the way early, with a little bit of up toward the end. There was a surprising amount of shade on this hike, which was great! We saw two deer also. Not many people. The views of the surrounding area are spectacular! Bring lots of water, a hat, and good hiking shoes with good grip on rocks.
We got super dusty and dirty on this hike. Very much worth it, but just a heads up.
