The name Bali Bistro is no more but I am not sure when this happened. There is a coffee shop called Balini Coffee and the restaurant is called 75WHD. The decor is nice if a little worn out here and there, but it does not look like an Indonesian restaurant, this is the opinion of someone who has spent a lot of time in Indonesia in the last 11 years.
My wife is Indonesian, I took her to 75 WHD as a surprise for our 10th wedding anniversary.
We had the satay platter, rendang, tempe, two portions of nasi uduk (coconut), and a vegetable dish (I cannot remember the name). They were all delicious and well-priced. The bill came to 324RMB, very reasonable IMO, especially when you consider the location.
I really hope this restaurant is around for many years but the lack of customers did not fill me with confidence for that. Along with us there were only 3 tables occupied in the time we were there - 19:40 to 20:40 on a Friday. I would have preferred to be seated upstairs with teh better view but with so few customers I understood that part
The only think I was disappointed with was the complete lack of Indonesian beers. I ended up drinking small glasses of Tsingtao at 22RMB each which was the worst part of the evening but not unbearable.
