I had the pleasure of staying at Bali Mountain Retreat in August for a Yoga Teacher Training. Exemplary, is an understatement, for the experience provided by this gem of a getaway located in the heart of the Bakutaru rainforest. The chefs make everything with TLC, the food grown on the property was absolutely divine! The staff always smiling and pure positivity emanated from within and was contagious to be around. If Indonesia wasn’t a 19 hour flight for me, you bet I would be here every Summer. I highly recommend for a single person traveling, couples, groups! This experience will far exceed your expectations. Blessed to have had this opportunity to be with such beautiful people in such a magical place.

I have stayed with Bali Mountain 6 times and I will keep going back for a deeply peaceful stay in some of the most impressive hotel gardens in Bali, classic balinese style and accommodation is also beautiful, traditional wooden balinese architecture with perfect tasteful colonial/balinese decor , it is the most tasteful place to stay, ||Their standard continues to be outstanding in all areas. ||Rooms, cleanliness, staff attend to your every need happily, such a beautiful crew of people working there, and the food! every meal is perfect fresh and interesting, they can prepare any balinese cuisine and if you ask they can make local balinese dishes.||There is a yoga hall if you choose to do your own yoga there. ||It is peaceful and cool, when the coast is way too hot and too crazy busy, at 700m it's another world, the place to be.||Plenty of guided walks to do, to spectacular rice terraces and temples, along rivers through orchards of tropical fruit, or into the jungle.|It is not too far from other attractions and you can organise transport for day trips if you want.||They are amazing and worth supporting, beautiful hard working people, teh perfect place to stay and rejuvenate

This is the fourth Time we have visited Bali Mountain retreat. It is one of our favourite places in Bali. We have attended to Meditation and yoga retreats here. Beautiful friendly staff, excellent massages, great base for hiking with local guides. Great restaurant, and outstanding value for money. Serene, beautiful gardens and excellent accommodation.

As a repeat visitor to Bali Mountain Retreat, I am never disappointed. It is a quiet getaway far from the heavily touristed areas of Bali, set in a lush mountain community. Any season there is a natural beauty and activities. One could snuggle into a birds nest view sitting area with a book or binoculars for bird spotting. One could do active hikes up mountains weather permitting. One could have leisurely strolls to local temples and rice fields tucked along the hillside. There's a beautiful space for yoga and a spa with local therapists and good fresh food. I always feel well rested after my stay.

I have visited 6 times and will keep coming back. A beautiful and very different cool place to stay in Bali's mountains with magnificent coastal views. There are many guided walks to temples, rice fields and jungle, - get away from the heat and the busy traffic to this peaceful oasis. Exceptionally clean rooms, amazing helpful staff, set in tasteful flowering traditional balinese gardens and architecture with amazing colonial/balinese decor, the property is superbly maintained, with an excellent kitchen and staff serving delicious balinese food including you can ask for local dishes. There is easy transport there and away and to the many local attractions if you don't want to hike.

An incredible piece of heaven. So peaceful, green, lush. Traditional Bali villas. Comfortable beds. Clean. The staff are amazing. The traditional food is some of the best I have ever eaten. Ilu is an incredible cook. I highly recommend staying here. Lucy does the best massages. Putu will make sure you are well looked after.

Absolutely incredible... Magical even! Not easy to reach but worth the trip! Enjoy a beautiful view from the mountains in a lushy green property, surrounded by trees & flowers. You have numerous relaxing spots to read, meditate, do yoga, stargaze, nap, or else. The service is amazing and the whole staff is going over the top to make you feel at home and enjoy your stay. The food is really good too and served quickly. I wish I could have stayed longer!
