I was very impressed at the sheer number of products to buy at this store, ranging from small trinkets to large pieces of furniture. There are so many options to choose from for souvenirs. To add, most items were on sale for 50% off, with some even 70%. Prices are a little high, but the sales offset them. Staff are super friendly and helpful and always smiling with great attitudes. All in all, I had a memorable visit to this store, and I hope to revisit one day when I'm back in the city.

I just had an incredible shopping experience at Balikbayan Handicrafts in Makati! This hidden gem is conveniently located and boasts an impressive collection of unique goods from local craftsmen. I was blown away by the variety of items to choose from, and the prices were incredibly reasonable - most items were 50-70% off! But what truly made our visit stand out was the exceptional service. Marivic, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time. She expertly guided us through the store, helping us pick out the best pieces and making sure my son and family were comfortable throughout. The entire staff was professional, friendly, and welcoming. What touched our hearts was when they treated my son to some delicious local Filipino treats - it was such a thoughtful gesture! We felt right at home, and the staff's warmth made our shopping experience truly unforgettable. I'm giving Balik Bayan Handicrafts a well-deserved 5-star rating! If you're looking for authentic, locally-made handicrafts at amazing prices, look no further. Check out the photos I attached to get a glimpse of the staff. Can't wait to come back and shop some more!

High quality Philippine made souvenirs are proudly showcased in this lovely store. I recently bought some souvenir gifts for some Japanese friends which they truly loved! Limited parking space is available. Best to come during weekdays. There are nearby malls to explore-all within walking distance.

Balikbayan handicrafts is my family’s favourite store in The Philippines. We come here every time we visit the country. My parents have bought several pieces of furniture made of kamogong and other wood. As well as 3 parols, numerous fans, capiz frames, perlas, you name it they have it. My mum bought a beautiful green Maria clara from here and I bought pearls, fans and capiz. They also have locally made food items, clothing and lots of handmade wood items and paintings. I hope this store continues for a very long time.

Went and had a look in this shop and from the guard at the door to the lovely sales guy that brought me over a basket, the place was lovely. Cashier didn't say much. Maybe she was having a rough day. I just bought some souvenirs to take home but the lovely guy informed me that anything that didn't have an X near the price was 70% off!! Wouldn't mind going back for a better look

Nice interior and on my advice, you should stick to that. After a glimpse of the shop you will notice that everything looks the same, either in wood or in baca or pearls. At some point you’ve seen enough of those ‘handcraft’. It seems more commercialized and lost touch with the authenticity of the Philippines. Stick to the interior, that is the major strength of this shop. Also friendly staff but they keep too much an eye on you and you feel followed/stalked through the shop….

This place way exceeded my expectation. The store is huge and specialized in selling diverese high-quality beautiful souvenirs and crafts from low to high end. Therefore, any budget can afford you something here. We spent about 4000 PHP for a t-shirt, a large laptop bag, a pair of earrings, and some food. Super happy with both the products and their prices!

Excellent place for high quality furniture and homewares that are made in the Philippines. Service is great and staff will go out of their way to be helpful. Jasmine is particularly wonderful.

Yelp
Best service ever! Not only did they pack the items we purchased with care, they offered to send it to our hotel. It was beautiful boxed and roped.

Yelp
Handicrafts, gifts, and souvenirs galore. This is an ideal store for anyone seeking to purchase gifts that are uniquely Philippines. The are a total of 2 floors to peruse through and I highly recommend at least an hour of shopping time to fully enjoy that experience. The sales associates are knowledgeable and anticipated our needs. The hard part about shopping in this store is the decision process. There are so many items to choose from that we ended up also shopping for myself. We had originally planned on getting capiz (polished shell) christmas ornaments, however opted to complete our Christmas shopping for our friends and family. I recommend taking a stroll through the wood carving souvenir section. They also have a wonderful collection of large Philippine South Sea pearls. The 2nd floor has some nice locally made furniture and other handicrafts. For anyone wondering how much shipping is, they quoted me $500 per square meter. Lastly, they also sell postcard stamps. This place is a treasure trove of unique gifts that are reasonably price and will surely impress friends and family.

Yelp
We always make it a point to stop by here to buy gifts to bring back home. They carry a wide selections of handicrafts both modern and traditional. Staffs are all helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Make sure to allot about an hour or more when coming to shop. Everything is carefully wrapped and packaged. BH also sells pearls both salt and fresh water in various settings and strands.Make sure to ask for your discount. So I feel that if you don't come here to shop then you are missing out on a great deal!!

Yelp
Omg. You have to shop here when in Manila . I got a beautiful hand carved Buddha head for 4,000 pesos. And a ton of other stuff. Salespeople are not pushy, just helpful. When he got to annoying, I asked him to back off a bit and he did. He helped me understand what was on sale (50-70% off on most items), wrapped my items carefully, and reviewed the bill to ensure I got all my discounts. Best shopping place for souvenirs and nice things to buy.....and very inexpensive.

Yelp
Having travelled across South East Asia, I am a big fan of the handicrafts of this part of the world. I first visited Greenhills and I was fascinated by the various wood, shells and capiz handicrafts. But all the haggling and crowd was really tiring. So when one of my friends suggested about Balikbayan, I wasted no time to try this place out. The entrance is majestic and has a traditional Filipino touch. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home. The place has 3 levels with each level displaying the finest of Filipino handicrafts and food. The place has wide collections of bags, wallets and clutches made from wood, jute, and other organic raw materials. There is wide variety of home accents to choose from like photo frame, placemats, home decor lamps, wind chimes and so on. Each of these are made of naturally sourced raw material like wood, jute or shells. They have eye catching intricate designs and patterns to give that classy look to your house. The collection of home furnishing is also awesome. The chairs and coffee tables have such unique traditional designs and they are perfect examples of comfort and tradition. They also have good collection of pearls and coral jewelry. I can spend my entire day in this store. I love their gift wrapping where they again they use grass, color papers to pack things. They really look traditional. My personal choice for exploring Philippines through its handicrafts. Just a note, the staff will tell you that the place has sale and most of the items have a discount of 50%. Have realized after my multiple visits that its a sales gimmick :)
