We recently had dinner here and overall, the experience was just average.
We ordered bulalo, tempura, and buko juice. The bulalo was okay for its price. The serving size was reasonable, and the broth was warm and comforting, but it wasn’t particularly memorable. The flavor was decent, though I was expecting a richer and more flavorful soup. Still, considering the cost, it was fair enough.
The tempura, however, was disappointing. The shrimp were heavily coated in batter, which made them look much bigger than they actually were. Instead of highlighting the shrimp, the thick batter overpowered it. It felt like there was more breading than shrimp inside. A lighter, crispier coating would have made the dish more enjoyable and balanced.
As for the buko juice, it was the most underwhelming part of the meal. It tasted very plain, with barely any hint of natural sweetness. Coconut juice usually has a refreshing, mildly sweet flavor, but this one tasted diluted and bland.
Overall, the restaurant was just fine but not something I would specifically go out of my way to revisit. With some improvements in food quality and consistency, it could definitely offer a better dining experience.
