At a short notice after our accomodation in Kalgoorlie was cancelled on us they were accomodating for my family including our doggo and helped us enjoy our night here , service and staff were friendly and met with a smile , sadly the restaurant wasn’t great had to send back 3 out of 4 dishes due to being dry , burnt , over cooked but eventually got it right ! We slept amazing in comfy beds in a nice clean tidy room and was very happy and would recommend staying here to travellers !

Service at check in was good, also had a comp room upgrade due to maintenance issues which was a bonus. Wouldn't recommend the thai beef salad at restaurant - the beef didn't taste like real meat, the salad was fresh but the sauce wasn't great. The service was good though. Not regarding the hotel but this town didn't feel very safe for a solo traveller.

I was absolutely thrilled with the service at the Balladonia Motel. I’d accidentally left my pillows in the room, and I didn’t realise until I was 400+k away. I emailed them and they kept them nicely wrapped up until my return 6 weeks later. We enjoyed the room and the food there was AMAZING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND people stopped and staying.

We have stayed here on previous trips across Nullabor, was OK place to rest for the night. Seems to have changed owner (website/branding different). Just went to book for a december trip, it is now "No pets" (it used to be), which is very dissapointing. No more business from us. If you are going to have a motel out in remote areas, you need to be able to accomodate the whole family. Take a leaf from Eucla Motel's book.

Rooms are comfortable but could do with a spruce up and also some maintenance. Resturant served and excellent meal that surprised both myself and partner.

We were heading back from our 4-week road trip and stopped at the Balladonia Motel for a well and truly earned break before heading home to Perth. Balladonia motel caravan park was full of surprises! It had a very shady caravan park, fully powered - but unfortunately no water or dump facilities and the price tag was high, but you are in the middle of nowhere! This iconic Skylab, which slammed to earth here in July 1979, is showcased in the Balladonia Hotel's dedicated museum - Memorabilia from Australia's only spaceship crash site is now proudly exhibited. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There's no camp kitchen so you can either grab a takeaway or dine in the Restaurant - we took takeaway as we had our beloved Ted with us. I had the chicken curry ($30), my husband had the parmigiana ($30) - I choose the better option! As a keen golfer, I didn't know we were on the world's longest golf course, which stretches 1,365 kilometres from Ceduna to Kalgoorlie. I would have loved to have had a play but unfortunately we were on a time schedule. All in all the facilities were clean, the food was average, the museum was a highlight and it was a well earned rest.

Average room price for the remote location , hotel is right near the highway near Balladonia airport . We got a delux room , had microwave fridge ensuite toilet & comfortable bed . There is caravan park site too for 50$ approx . Noted Balladonia is generally warm . Their cafe wrap wasn’t good however the coffee was nice .

After working across the Nullarbor for some time we always enjoy our time at Balladonia. Honest and reliable staff that cannot do enough to help. Different room sizes to suit your needs and food cannot be faulted. You cannot visit without having a look in the museum where there is some really interesting history. Thanks all!
