BALLET FOLCLÓRICO NACIONAL JACCHIGUA

Fabulous show. Highly recommend this for anybody visiting Quito and Ecuador.

It's a very good folklore show. The location is hard to find, and I almost missed it. The setting itself is not beautiful per se and is a small stage for the price. Yet the performance, music, and dresses are excellent and high quality. During the show I was told not to take photos but it's not clear why. That was negative, because one point is to go and see and take photos of the beautiful traditions. That's one reason we go to see culture. The price is high, at 50 USD. I've travelled the world and all other shows allow photos and usually cost much less, only free shows dont allow photos and video on occasion. So if you want to see and look only, go ahead it's great. But if you like photography and sharing the experience to people back home, find another option. For 50 USD it's kind of being treated like a kid in school with rules, not professional.

This is a great show. They have one on Wednesday that has different dances if different indigenous communities. The Friday show us traditional celebrations like Mama Negra and Diablis de Pillaro. Excellent well researched dances. A real spectacle that can't be missed.

I see it every time I visit Ecuador, Must have seen it about half a dozen times and they never disappoint. The best Ecuador has to offer!! You can't leave Ecuador without seeing this spectacular.

Lovely presentation by the beloved Jacchigua dance group. For people who enjoy dance and native culture, we highly recommend going. Performance is two hours long and may not be enjoyable for young children.

He tenido la suerte de verlos varias veces en vivo y su talento es único! 100% recomendable visitarlos cuando se llega a Quito! Atractivo para toda la clase de turistas, tanto nacionales como internacionales.
