At first I kinda felt like this might be not worth while, but it was recommended multiple times. I am so so so happy I went with the dinner and front row at the show. The meal’s presentation was beautiful! All the flavors were delicious and unique. The show was amazing!!! They even brought some of us up on stage. What a fun experience!

We went only for the dance show we have a good cocktail, the area for sitting is not too comfortable if you any issue with that purchase a chair in the first or second row. Show was really good we really enjoyed it.

Guys, you are the best! Rhythms, staging, energy, you charge with your dancing so much that I could not take my eyes off you for a minute. I admire you. Thank you for what you do, may your traditions be preserved for many years and may many people be able to see what you do! It's really cool.

The performance was outstanding. A must-see if you visit Rapa Nui and a direct support to local community.

Wonderful experience! We got tickets for the dance only and It was beautiful to see the culture of Rapa Nui enjoyed and appreciated by all who attended. The dancing and singing is incredible and best of all is seeing the joy at the expression of the Rapa Nui culture. Ignore the review that says it's a tourist place, it's not, it's a preservation of a fantastic Polynesian culture. Don't miss it!

Excellent place to immerse yourself in the Rapanui culture. Beautiful dancing and atmosphere. Very local! They serve very delicious drinks , and you can pay for dinner if you wish. You get to dance with them and take pics too. Great experience!!

Did not enjoyed this show at all! No pick up is offered so you have to get there by yourself. I’m pointing this out because the Te Ra’ai offers pick up and I always had pick up for island nights on other Polynesian islands in the south pacific. The chairs are super cramped together that you have no space to the front left or right. The shows is incredibly loud and it felt like a big chaos or mess on stage. And all that for $45000 which is quite a price tag for such an underwhelming show! I would highly recommend to skip this place and go to the Te Ra’ai island night which is cheaper, better, and so much more magical!

Yelp
We attended the cultural Dane known as the Kari Kari "Ballet" which celebrates the art, music and dance of Rapa Nua (Easter Island) on a Wednesday night. Our hotel made our reservations (we booked -show only $30US po; there's also a combo with a Polynesian dinner. The theatre is small with room for around 250 people I'd guess with 4 rows of tightly packed hotel banquet chairs fronting the stage, and bleacher-style riser behind with around 6-7 tiers. The start seating around 7 even though the show doesn't start until 8 (it lasts about an hour). There is little to no air circulation in this semi-open-air spot so it was very warm when we got there around 7:20. The hostess semi directs you to the seats and she fills them all in. Luckily we were in row 1 of bleachers so we could easily see above the folks seated on the floor in front of the stage. The dancing is very exuberant with a costume change midway through. There was a live band and singers as accompaniment. It was great fun except for the temperatures. The 4 women and 8 men really worked up a sweat on stage. There were several times when they invited audience members to the stage also to participate.

Yelp
Kari Kari is a "cultural ballet" traditional Easter Island dance performance show. They only have performances three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The shows start at 9p but they recommend that you arrive by 830p to check in and pay for your ticket (it was 15,000 pesos) and get your seat. The theatre isn't that big, and when I arrived at 845p, it was pretty packed. The show lasts about an hour and the stage is filled with men and women wearing traditional outfits singing beautiful songs and dancing. There's a lot of hip shaking and graceful hand movements and yelling. Lots of fun energy. And there are times when the dancers invite members of the audience to dance on stage, which is pretty entertaining too. At the end of the show, they invite people to come and take photos with the performers. It's a pretty fun cultural thing to check out in the evening in Hanga Roa!
