Room We had a lovely, spacious room with a view down to the beach (weather permitting) and of the front of the hotel. Both bedroom and bathroom had all necessary amenities, clean and plenty of space. Staff Everyone working at the hotel was friendly and helpful. They also had great chat and gave us some tips on where to visit locally to make the most of our trip (as over for a wedding). Food and bar Great selection of food and drinks in the bar. The restaurant had options for all dinners - in particular an impressive number of vegeterian and vegan options. Breakfast was an absolute treat - lots of choice and some of the best porridge I've had!

Just returned from a long weekend for a wedding. 240 person wedding all at the lodge. And it was amazing. Best weekend ever. |Everything was perfect. Amazing ceremony party. Decor. Hotel is beautiful. Rooms clean. Cleaners so lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much for the staff. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Wedding food was spot on. Bar food also. Breakfast is veryyyyy good Irish and continental. ||Pool is good and sauna and steam. One of us had an amazing massage. One minor of the whole weekend. Get cushions for the loungers 😂😂||Big shout out to Colm who is the funniest nicest person to serve you breakfast on the planet. And all the ladies. They was so helpful and lovely. Nothing was too much. ||Welll done. We def want to come back soon. ❤️❤️❤️

2025 a great stay at the Ballyliffin Hotel & Spa. The room we were staying in was just updated to the new standard and as you can see from photographs below it is too high standard. (All rooms will be upgraded to this style) The Bed and pillows were made for a very good night's sleep. The walk-in shower with its easy to use controls was excellent for us older folk. We were at the back of the hotel so the views were not great. but we stayed in a room at the front before so we know the views from there are stunning looking over Pollen Bay to Malin head in the distance. I always maintain that staff are what makes a stay enjoyable in a hotel and the staff of the Ballyliffin hotel & spa go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. The Restaurant and Jacks bar food is of a high quality and good value (Only small gripe service can be slow & confusing. Maybe if staff were allocated serving areas it would reduce waiting time and mixed up orders) Loved the main meal but the crunchy ice cream dessert was a knockout blow for me wow tasty tasty. There is so much to see and do around the Ballyliffin area, we visited the Famine village as we were aware of the treble fire at the start of the year and had to show are support for Pat & Majella who work so hard there. Then a quick drive up to Malin Head the most Northerly point in Ireland with stunning views over the wild Atlantic. Our overall stay was fantastic, enjoyable, relaxing and we would highly recommend staying here as we plan to return with family in September.

What a beautiful hotel and great setting. Hotel is fantastic lovely rooms and brilliant spa and fitness centre. Lovely bar and restaurant, perfect for any occasion. We had the bar food and seat in the conservatory which overlooks the bay and golf course. It was excellent. For golfers it’s right becide the Ballyliffin golf course.

I cannot fault this hotel. Having completed an extensive road trip around Ireland (over 2000km and over 2 weeks) staying in lots of 4* hotels, this was our favourite. The staff were lovely; friendly and helpful, the views were amazing, it's only a short walk to the beach, food was quality and the hotel itself was of a high standard. Highly recommended by this visitor!! The only improvement I would suggest is the addition of EV charging points as they are quite scarce in this area of Ireland at the time of writing.

We were staying in Ballyliffin and dropped in for Sunday lunch. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was great and all four of us were full by the time we left. The views over to Pollen Bay from the conservatory dining area were stunning. We also popped back that night for a pint of Guinness which was top notch.

Myself and a group of ladies had afternoon tea in the Ballyliffen Lodge last weekend. The weather was beautiful so we got to enjoy the beautiful setting from the conservatory. Despite there being a wedding & a christening on in the hotel, the service was excellent & the young waiting staff were very attentive. The afternoon tea was presented really well, lovely china crockery & we each got our own tiered arrangement of delights. The scones were so fresh and fluffy & the sweet treats were delicious. The egg wrap was the only part of the food that was a little disappointing, it was quite soggy and poorly presented. But overall it was a lovely experience and so reasonably priced compared to other afternoon teas on offer.
