Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort

Just back from a two night stay with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived on Tuesday and Linda on reception was very cheerful and helpful. Also a special mention for Natalia who brought us our breakfast to the room both mornings. She was also very cheerful. When we arrived to our room they had left us a plate with strawberries and chocolate brownies with happy anniversary written on the plate. All the staff in the hotel were lovely and friendly. Will definitely go back there again and would highly recommend this hotel

A large group of over 70 people had the pleasure of dining at the Ballymascanlon House Hotel restaurant. It truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm hospitality and impeccable service. Every member of the team was courteous, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience.||The food was absolutely exceptional. All of our party were full of praise for each course. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. ||The restaurant and bar are recently refurbished and are beautiful. They offer a lovely atmosphere. Whether you’re a hotel guest or just visiting for a meal, I can’t recommend it highly enough.||Five stars – Ballymascanlon is a true gem!

We have been going to the Hotel for many years. Sixteen of us went for a weekend golf trip, it includes 2 nights bed and breakfast and 3 rounds of golf. The service from the staff was excellent, the food in the restaurant was great and was served at just the right speed. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The golf course was in excellent condition condition and even the weather was good. All in all an excellent weekend.|George from Holywood Golf Club,

We celebrated our wedding on the 25th May at the Ballymascanlon. From the moment we booked our wedding, the hotel staff were fantastic and assisted us with planning. Both Andrea and Fiona were nothing short of excellent - we can’t thank them both enough. The venue, food and staff were all superb. We had the most magical day. Nice hotel on outskirts of Dundalk.comfortable bedrooms and good public areas and grounds. Good breakfast and bar food menu which has a " Daily Roast on offer but it did not change from Turkey and Ham for the days we were staying. While it is good to see them supporting their Turkey producing neighbours in Monaghan a little variety might be more appealing to guests. However we had a lovely stay and would have no difficulty repeating it

Beautiful hotel , excellent staff service and the food is exquisite. |We stayed withfriends on a golf outing . Sylvia looked after all our booking requirements. There wasn’t any request that was a problem to her . The ambiance of the hotel, and also the setting is just perfect. All of the staff were so pleasant. Would definitely stay again

Enjoyed a golf trip at Ballymascanlon recently. The staff in the hotel could not have been more helpful-----they were friendly and efficient and made the group very welcome. The food and accommodation was first class as usual. Special mention to Sylvia who looks after our booking and Maurice in the golf shop who kitted us out well for the golf. Stayed here a single night on a business trip. First off, staff were wonderful - friendly, efficient. Ate in the evening, I had the burger, always a good test. I have to say, it's the best burger I've had in a very long time. The meat was juicy and delicious, nice char on the outside, faultless. My colleagues were equally pleased. Went for a walk in the lovely grounds. The path up through the golf course to the dolman is well worth doing. Amazing old kitchen garden. Some fabulous old trees. Whole place was delightful. Breakfast in the morning was also great. Huge selection of food, all really well cooked. Didn't choose to stay here but would definitely choose it next time.
