Balmedie Beach is a beautiful sandy beach that stretches for miles. This time of year (October) was very quiet , practically empty. A calm sea full of ships and fishing boats. I fell asleep on the grassy dunes, so I only have a few photos before dark.

Dogs loved it. Would be better if people with dogs of lead had respect for those on leads. Just because they are on lead doesn't mean there a bad dog, vicious, scary. My boy has been attacked after being told oh there ok. Mine is on lead for his safety. Beach is lovely.

Wonderful experience climbing the sand dunes and taking a moment to enjoy the views.

It’s good to visit in summer, nice view and location, but there’s a rotten whale, just move away from that as far as you can. Make sure to wear sandals else hard to walk in sand. There’s a co-op shop in Balmedie, you can buy anything you want for a picnic.

soooo pretty and fun!! there was lots of sand to slide down, and the walk to the beach isn’t that far away from the parking lot. loveee!!

A really nice beach which is worth a visit. I visited on a quiet Thursday afternoon, which was lovely - empty and tidy car park, no-one else around. The pathways make it easy to negotiate your way through the dunes. Very windy but some lovely views from atop the dunes.

Nice beach with loads of soft sand to walk. Good for family or dog walks. Massive dunes of sand. Very peaceful if you want to detox yourself from the busy city life. Free parking with toilet facilities

Loads of easy car parking and situated just 6 or so miles north of Aberdeen a Beautiful beach can be accessed across very special precious sand dune topography. Many routes through them such as tarmac, boardwalk, and horseback. Once at the beach it is soft white sand sloping to surf washed golden sand. The panorama from the beach opens up over 180 degrees with views of Aberdeen to the south, oil industry working boats in the bay, and of course the magnificent wind farm right on the the doorstep of Donald Trump’s golf resort ….. SUPERB

Yelp
Aberdeenshire coast is second to none..... Shame it's the bloody North Sea ...cold as heck .... However picturesque just the same

Yelp
we spent a hot summers day on balmedie beach and had a great time, the sand is soft and the beach is really clean. there is ample payand display parking, as well as toilets and a playground. there is a fair stretch of coast and even on a busy day was not crowded. the beach has a back drop of sand dunes, this are a little hard to navigate through to get one and off but there is a disable pathway available.
