I booked this hotel online 2 months before I travel because they had a very good offer for a executive double room. I phoned them a couple of days befire I arrive to check everything was ok and I would have my room after such an exausting (20hours) journey.|Since I arrived everything went excellent, to start with the service at the reception, polite, fast and efficient, the room was very spacious, clean and had all the commodities you need. The breakfast offer a wide selection of pastries, fruit and drinks. I totally recomment this hotel!!! Nothing negative about my 10 days there.

Hotel say it has a four star but i say no it hasnt. This hotel has those four stars maybe 20-30 years ago. So dont expect too mutch when you make a reservation. Hotel has a great location, middle of the city centre. The single room where i stay has seen a better days long time ago if we think it has a four star. Room has one small light only and bedsheet has broken. AC has make a steam and roof was ugly. Shower was a new long time ago but hot water still running well. Anyway, room was clean and cleaning ladys are very nice and professionals, they clean my room every day. That same i cant say for any reseptionist here. They dont even look or say anything to you when you walking inside the hotel. Unprofessional workers. There are no portier. Anyone can come in this hotel and go upstairs, because nobody cares. Hotelroom has a good securitybox! Breakfast was ok but i expect more hygienice and better food in this level hotel. Staf in the breakfastrooms was friendly. If you get a room good price this is a good option.

The hotel is nice, very well located and the staff is very friendly. Although it is very noisy during the night: somehow not well isolated and noisy tourists make it more difficult to sleep quietly. There is also some humidity problem in the bathroom (see picture).

This was by far, the most disorganized hotel I have ever stayed at! When we arrived, they could not find our reservation. Not until we sent them a mail copy of our reservation, our booking was accepted. While we were waiting, other guests came in with the same problem. ||We were asked to sit down, while they prepared our room, which was not ready, in spite of the fact that it was after the normal check in time. After a long wait, we were told that it would take at least one more hour, because the hotel was fully booked! Don’t they have staff enough to be fully booked?||We went out for a couple of hours and came back to finally get the keys to our room, just to see that the room still was not cleaned. We went out again while they cleaned it, and it seemed ok, until we noticed that they had forgotten to give us towels. I called the reception, who said that they would send us towels immediately. Those towels never turned up!||Next morning it was time for a rather good breakfast. However, the only source for hot water was the kind of apparatus, where you have a blue tap for cold water and a red for hot. It was definitely not capable to supply hot water for all the tea consumed at a breakfast in a big hotel! The water was not even lukewarm! When I told the waiter about the problem, he had to test the water in my cup with his finger, to believe me! Unbelievable!||It is a pity, really, because the hotel in itself is quite nice, but that doesn’t help, when the staff and organisation doesn’t work!

I booked through booking.com and received a confirmation. When I arrived, a completely disinterested guy on reception just said he had no room for me. He had no interest whatsoever in explaining why or in helping me. The hotel is supposed to be 4* but I suspect that was many decades ago. I don’t know what the rooms are like but the public areas are dark and dirty- stay away!!

The rooms were adequate if slightly dark but air con present. The location is excellent, right in the centre of old town Montevideo. We visited this hotel at the beginning of our holiday and unfortunately my handbag including iPhone and purse were stolen from the restaurant on the second floor of the hotel during breakfast by a non staying guest. Guest security in the hotel is poor, there are two entrances on the ground floor and it is easy for people not staying at the hotel to enter the hotel lifts unnoticed, so if you choose to stay at this hotel please keep a close eye on all your personal possessions at all times.

I am not sure what all the good reviews are for. The hotel is very run down. The Internet didn’t work. The slowest internet speed I’ve experienced in years. My room was smelly with mould on the walls. <br/>The only positive point is staff. They were professional and friendly.

Good Hotel located in the center of Montevideo. Friendly and helpful staff, fast Wi-Fi, varied breakfast, clean rooms. The only thing that wasn’t to my liking was the size of the bed (individual), too small.
