Aberfeldy was not on our itinerary, but it turned into one of the highlights of the trip after our trip to Mull was cancelled due to a storm that shut down the ferries. I feel so incredibly lucky to have found Balnearn House – it was perfect in every single way. Mark and Claire went above and beyond to make our stay great, and the location was absolutely wonderful. I will 100% be back!

We spent 2 nights here and enjoyed our stay. The Balearn is only 4/5 minutes from the town centre and even closer to The Birks||The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the shower was excellent||There is plenty of on site parking||Our breakfasts, which need to be ordered the previous evening, were very good and there was a decent choice.

We loved our stay, everything from the welcome to the goodbye was perfect. A lovely old house full of character with everything modern you need inside. Beautiful bedding and towels, comfy bed and pillows, shower pressure that would scrape your skin off, lovely toiletries, great hospitality tray and a perfect breakfast. A warm welcome and a cheery goodbye sealed the stay. Highly recommend.

After the good reviews on the Internet, I expected much more. . The hostess herself was very friendly, but only saw her on arrival and departure. Her husband Mark took over the breakfast Service. When we came back in the evening next day, we realized that no room service had taken place. , We should have told them , if we like to have done our room , which is very unusual.. Mark booked us a table in the nearby restaurant. The next day at breakfast he was not very talkative as a host. The question of the recommendation, whether it liked, was also absent. You didn't feel like there were a really intrest in the Guest. The day after,we were given the coffee at breakfadt and this time a good morning was completely out of it. Not a nice word, nothing. Myself I travel a lot and I have never experienced so little interest in the guest. The house is very nice, unfortunately the professional in giving the guests a Welcome feeling is missing., We love England, so we have been travelling all over , and we can tell the diffrent very well. |As a host it can be so much nicer if you pay more attention to details and in your guests,

A Victorian era house with spacious bedrooms nicely appointed for the most discerning guests. Breakfast is served in a clean spacious lounge where the outside gardens can be viewed. The countryside comes alive with sounds of local birdlife and an abundance of places to walk and drive to. Pubs and restaurants are plentiful offering a large choice of culinary cuisine. Art studios, Castles, Whiskey distilleries, Lochs and bike tracks offer the more adventurous a number of escapes and venues to visit. Well worth a stay. Mark and Claire are the perfect hosts.
