We stayed on the campsite here for one night and it was beautiful! The toilets and showers were warm and clean. I think it's probably the best shower I've ever had and very generous at £1 for 7 minutes! . There was even a hairdryer you could use. There's a beautiful beach just on the other side of the road and up a hill slightly. Will definately be back!

I can only endorse the positive comments of the other reviews. The most immaculately clean toilets and showers you will ever see on a campsite. Easily set the bar against which all other sites are compared. The drying room was a bonus too and the washing and drying facilities were excellent. Onsite catering van and local vending (lobster!!) was a bonus too. We booked for one night but it was so good we stayed for two! Local beaches and sites were lovely too. Best campsite of our 3 week island odyssey.

We were sited at the top end of the site, furthest away from the entrance, which had its advantages. We had 3 nights here and would definitely stay again. The male toilet/shower building at the top of the site had just one unit. The block near the entrance had 2 showers. £1 for 7.5 minutes. Washing up area is just in the bottom block with 2 deep sinks, a Washing Machine and Dryer. Ideally the site could do with a Washing up area at the top of the site. Worth noting that the site requires "Organic" fluid using in Elsan type toilets. There is a lovely long beach just a short walk up a slope opposite the campsite. From there you can walk around the "bay" and then a circular walk bringing you back along the road to the site entrance

What a lovely campsite! So well maintained, clean, and the facilities like a drying room for wet boots, jackets and towels made it really special. All the toilet blocks and laundry rooms were well heated, and hairdryers provided. In a fabulous location for bird watching, beautiful beaches, and great walks.

Balranald campsite is a really lovely campsite with immaculate facilities. The staff are friendly and very helpful. There are 2 toilet and shower blocks which are impeccably clean. One has an amazing drying room and the other has the office which includes a small shop and the site kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with 2 deep sinks, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, microwave and kettle. There were even fresh flowers on the windowsills. |The Dunes Cabin is located on the campsite and has a great menu including hot and cold rolls, homemade soup and home baking. I had the best prawn roll ever when I was there. |There is also the Dunes Larder which is a large barn like building with a 24hour vending machine selling local produce, used by both holidaymakers and locals. |Hougharry beach is right next to the campsite (minutes walk away) across the dunes which were covered with wildflowers. This is a horseshoe bay and here we saw some beautiful sunsets. The campsite is also located in the Balranald RSPB nature reserve. |I just loved my stay here.

This is such a beautiful campsite. It's surrounded by stunning views and has the most beautiful beach across the road. You get a warm welcome and there are lovely facilities. The toilets and shower block (there are 2 blocks) are warm and clean. It's £1 for a shower and the shower is great. There is a drying room as well, which is so helpful when the weather is endless rain. The site has a great cafe van and a 24/7 larder. The whole site was so peaceful when we stayed (start of July).

Excellent campsite! Stayed for 3 nights whilst traveling the Outer Hebrides. Two beautiful beaches close by. Spotless facilities and very friendly staff. AMAZING Scallop and bacon/ black pudding rolls served 11-3pm amongst other sandwiches etc. Self service 24 hour drinks, snacks and food vending machine. Lots of happy regulars, clearly coming back every year! Can see why 🤩

Balranald's is an excellent campsite. We stayed for three nights in late September as part of a road trip across the whole of the Outer Hebrides. Balranald's was the best site we stayed at. The facilities are great, well designed, installed and maintained, and clearly respected by those who visit. We found the drying room particularly useful! The vending machines next door were a pleasant surprise.
