Baltimore Soundstage

Good venue for a show. I went to see a comedy show. We came right in time so obviously had to sit in the back, lol. The seats were tight but it makes sense for ticket sales. Having a bar on both sides of the venue was a very good idea and whoever thought of that should get a raise. Employees were nice and it was smoothly run. I’d like to go back to see music. Seems like a fun spot for any show. I did 4 stars because parking/transportation is so rough to get here.

Fantastic intimate venue for live music. Saw Crowe Brothers open for Tophouse. Excellent sound quality, helpful staff and great crowd and atmosphere. Parking available in the building. Easily accessible for anyone with a disability.

We visited Baltimore Soundstage for a concert, 3quency and Solidified. The venue is located downtown Baltimore. It conveniently situated beside a parking deck. Inside, the space is fairly large. There is no seating. The sound and lighting effects were great. There was security and the people working the door were very polite. I could not get my tickets to pull up on my phone. The young lady took my name and looked up my reservation. She was very nice and professional. There was a full bar for those that wanted drinks. Overall, it was a good experience. CON:Standing room only, unless you have VIP ( but you know that going in😝)

We've seen countless shows here. From Marky Ramone with Andrew WK to Thrice to DragonForce and many others. It's an easy drive down 83 with plenty of garage parking nearby. Staff is always awesome. The mix is always good We went to see the Japanese metal band, Love Bites last Wednesday. The entire reason we got to go was because of the generosity of the venue to provide a ticket, plus one, to working unpaid federal workers. It was an awesome act of kindness we won't forget. Looking forward to seeing many more shows here.

My first time here was for the 3Quency concert. Parking garage is attached to the building which was convenient. There was an issue while I was in line (a pedestrian was hit by a car sadly) but the outdoor team jumped into action and then continued to get us inside. The inside is cool. I’m getting a little too old for standing room only events but it was nice. It was SUPER hot at one point and during the first act the AC kicks on super strong so that was appreciated. Not sure if there was a coat check. I went to one bar and service was decent, pricing was regular pricey event charging. I’d totally come back again but ideally with some seats!

Very nice venue! Staff members were all very courteous and friendly. Generally-decent view of the stage from all parts of the room, with a few obstructive columns you need to take note off. Good sound quality throughout. Bar service was quick and easy. Three bars were open for walk-up service. Saw wait staff with tray of drinks probably for the few tables available (if you get there early enough). There was a 'food window' with limited menu of 'fun foods' (franks, nachos, etc). Restrooms are clearly marked and spacious. Some ADA seating available. Parking within easy walking distance was convenient in a garage on the diagonal street corner (prepay with app online for a remarkably easy entrance and exit to park). First time here, and I recommend this venue for concerts and will be happy to return to see other performances.

I've been to this venue a bunch of times over the years, but I never had seats. I've always gone to the pit and don't move until the night is over. I enjoyed sitting down for a change this time. Plus, I enjoyed the fact that they had food, which I never noticed before. Paleface Swiss was amazing!

This was the first time I've been there. The layout is like the Rams Head in Bmore, where I've been to 4 times in the last 12 months. I say the layout is the same because they're both a just concrete slabs on the floor, ceiling & walls. Bmore Soundstage has bars all around it, in the back & on both sides. I never had to wait in line to get a drink. The ladies room was clean & amply supplied & once again I didn't have 2 wait in line. There was a 10 or so minute wait in line 4 the coat check. I don't know how much it cost per coat as signage wasn't provided, I 4got to ask & haven't looked at my credit card statement yet. I checked out railing possibilities b4 checking my coat but the only railing I found to tie my coat to was the handrail for 1 step. As I went solo, I decided to check my coat as tieing it around my waist would have impeeded my comfort while dancing. It was plenty warm inside as well. The show I went to, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, wasn't sold out but was pretty full. It is a GA venue although there is two to 4 "box seat" areas although they are obviously more expensive & only had 2 to 4 seats in each. I wouldn't consider getting them as I think it to be poor visibility if seated. Based on this experience alone, I couldn't describe any of the band members to you as I couldn't see the stage & there no screens projecting camera coverage. I could have wiggled my way up front to the stage but it would have been too tight a space for me to maintain & be comfortable. I wasn't there to see the band anyway, I was there to hear live music so I found a good spot in the back corner. The sound system is high quality. And the lighting was as well. I wasn't thrilled about the 10 minutes it took to get in as it was 12 degrees outside with super cool wind gusts too. There were only 2 people in front of me when I got to the security check/entrance so due to the weather 10 minutes seemed like 4ever. I've driven by it on numerous occasions & wondered what it was (what venue it was) noting the long line of people outside waiting to get in. Security check to get in takes awhile 'cause these guys take their jobs seriously & do a thorough search of everything. They even opened up my Marlboro Reds 100's Box (of cigarettes) to ensure .... ? ? that I wasn't carrying a weapon in there ?? (My regular size Bic kighter was in there which was removed, inspected & handed back to me. I as well had to empty the contents of my bag which was barely big enough to hold my cell phone & box of cigarettes. In fact I couldn't even get my cell phone out of it unless I first took out the box of cigarettes. I had to put my car keys in the waist ban of my pants as they didn't have pockets. It took me awhile to do so which caused the now 4 people waiting in line behind me to start rubbing their hangs 2gether 4 warmth even with gloves on. One guy was trying to blow hot air on them, cupping them to his mouth. My comment of "really" to the guy who opened the box of cigarettes I had was answered with, "you'd be surprised" which made me laugh as I pondered all the stuff I'd be surprised to find in there. Although I found his repy to be funny, I still can't come up with anything.

There were other bands in concert that caught my interest like Carbonstone and Horizon Theory. First impressions of the Baltimore Soundstage were that the line was long as well as the wait to get inside. People were thoroughly searched before entering the concert building. I had my pen confiscated from me! Inside the building, there were many areas to buy drinks or band merchandise. The bathrooms were clean. The area was dimly lit. Everyone was standing at the venue. I noticed that some children were in the crowd present and that was new for me. The music artists all gave stellar performances. I interacted with the music artists Carbonstone & Anoxia and took photos of the cards they gave me and the artists. The artists and their music were one of the finest highlights of the night there. Baltimore Soundstage was not what I expected yet I was still impressed. It was not the most comfortable concert venue I ever went to due to no seating areas were available for us to sit yet I have no complaints. I was glad that the ticket prices were very affordable and that we managed to get good parking nearby. Great venue. I loved how the crowd was able to get on the stage, crowd surf, mosh. It gave me old school feels of going to concerts in 2005. The bathrooms were a bit unkempt but I figure that's to be expected. There are multiple areas to buy drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). I was just surprised there weren't areas with chairs. They only had them for ADA.

Great venue, great employees! Ease of parking is non comparative, parking garage right next door. Huge ladies room, clean and no line! One thing I would say had to be corrected would be placing a more visible tape on yhe r Thank you for having "Lord of the Lost" play at your venue 9/13/24!

Can't stand when venues keep your credit card. This place does for some reason and dumb me forgot my card at the end of the night. I would have gone back the day after and just eaten the auto 20% gratuity but when I woke up someone had already tried to use my card to buy doordash, some food in North Carolina and some other stuff. so already we doing bad your establishment cant keep credit cards secure after you forced me to hand it over to you? Add that the venue has trash ventilation so its always a little hot and humid no matter how many people are in attendance I really would rather shows be anywhere but here.

I went here for the Big Bubble Rave on 6/6/25, and there was NO announcement whatsoever about it being canceled, but when we were waiting in line we were told that it was canceled because their DJ was in Texas. EDIT: I've improved the rating due to their swiftness, honesty, and compensation. It seems to be the event's fault and not the soundstage. I still think they could be a bit more organized but this seems to have been a rare occurrence.

Small venue, great for being up close with the artists. Offer cocktails and canned beverages, no drafts. I had a great time at a recent show for Whitey Morgan.

Nice venue, acoustics much better than expected, and both bands were great! Headliner: Samantha Fish - phenomenal guitarist and she brought the energy! Opener: Anthony Rosano and the Conqueroos. New to me and they were a great fit with Samantha as headliner. Food is fast food and nowhere to sit unless you pay extra for seated area. Some railing space helps, but if you're not there first... thus, only a 4 rating. Quick entry process and assistance by verifying name against ticket records if your app doesn't show your tickets - I know! Nice location at Baltimore's Inner Harbor area. And an outside area if you need some air and space.

Came to see Eric Roberson... great show! I would recommend attending this venue as they provided food and drinks.

We went last night for an Emo night that had 4 different bands. Overall the bands were great and had nice energy but they were truly failed by the sound system. For a concert venue, you would think their sound system would be top notch but it leaves a lot to be desired. During one bands set there was so much feedback with the speakers and guitars I truly felt like leaving. Other times we couldn't hear the singer or the guitar solos. It was just a hodge podge of sound that turned us off. We did spring for the VIP seating because we're old and wanted chairs and that was a good idea because we had a server! Not sure we'll be back for concerts but maybe a comedy show? It's too bad because it's in a great location.

Came to this venue for the CIAA close out brunch. I was pleasantly surprised by the food and seating. They also had plenty of bars open for fast service. The bar drinks were great but expensive. They had the place setup to also host a day party. They don't have a lot of room for dancing but the DJ was pumping. I will try another event here in the future.

Went to see a sold out show for Teddy Swims last night and it's been years since I've been back here but overall I would say that I was happy with it. 1. Parking garage right next door that you can pay for on your phone. Clutch. 2. Intimate setting. Don't know what the max capacity was but I didn't feel super crammed that I couldn't move around. If you're short, I'm sorry but go towards the back at the railing. You might be able to see over everyone then since the floor is elevated. 3. Bartenders were moving with a purpose! 4. Audio and lighting were pretty good. I would go back for another show in the future.

I went here for a concert. The staff was very helpful. I enjoyed the music. The service at the bar was very quick and efficient. The drink I got was made perfectly. The sound system was amazing. The lighting was great. Plenty of space to dance, sing, and have fun!

I remember when this venue was once Iguana, a club I frequented every Friday in the early 2000's. A lot of crazy memories at this place. Happy to see that the venue didn't just go down like many other clubs in Baltimore. My most recent visit to the venue was for the Conway the Machine tour. I also visited back in 2016 to see the show Straight Outta Oz. The venue is always clean, the staff is friendly and the shows are always top notch. Tickets for shows at this venue are always reasonable. You can really see a lot of big name acts for a very affordable price. The drinks are strong and also reasonably priced. They also sell food, I didn't order any, but the prices weren't outrageous. I hope they bring many more dope rap artist here in the near future!

I recently saw Japanese Breakfast at Baltimore Soundstage with some friends (7 or 8 of us). I really didn't enjoy the venue. As a short girl, this space is rough. I saw the band by picture someone took for me - because I couldn't see the stage at all. All night. It was super crowded and there was no incline at all in the venue. So if you're not above average height, I would get there really early to be in the first few rows of people. Overall, it was just a blah venue - very tight, very crowded, very flat. Small overall, but it had two bar areas and an area for merch sales. Bathrooms were fine. I'd really have to love an artist to go back to Baltimore Soundstage. If it's someone I'm on the fence about someone and they're performing here, I'd definitely pass.

Great weekend. Venue never disappoints. Organized and professional staff . Great vibe .

A really top notch venue with some truly talented promoters. They have every kind of act here from indie rock to death metal to hip-hop to comedy shows. Paying attention to their calendar is a great way to make sure you have a great night out in Baltimore. The space itself is fairly small without feeling packed when it's at max capacity. There's always short lines for the bar and a good selection of drinks available.

This is a very bare bone facility in my opinion. I saw THE HU concert here and the concert itself was amazing. However, this review is for the facility. 1. Parking: easy to park in the building where the concert is taking place, which is great 2. The stage/arena: it is rather small and standing room only. I imagine place being more suitable for night club than for concerts. I guess you could dance along with the concert, but having no seating is weird for me. 3. drinks/bar: very basic. 4. Bathroom: very dirty 5. The line management: great. They were very efficient in scanning and checking tickets and letting people in. Very impressive.

I have been to manyyyyy shows at Soundstage and never had a bad experience until tonight. I was refused a cup of water at the bar. In case you don't know, it is a legal requirement for ANY location that serves alcohol to also serve FREE drinking water. The female bartender with short black hair tried to tell me that they ONLY give bottled water for $4. I didn't want to argue and ruin my night so I just declined, but this is unacceptable and illegal. Searching around the venue, they did not have a cooler of water with cups (as I know they have had at prior shows I've been to here) nor a drinking water fountain. Sooooo, simply be better. After being refused the water and standing around the bar for just a little while, I noticed at least 4 people after me buying bottles of water from the bar. So clearly, this scam works on some and is making them profit. Just STOP trying to scam (possibly drunk) people for a measly $4!! Disappointing.

Nice venue that reminds me of the 930 Club in DC, but a little nicer and not as much room as the 930 Club. Sound system was great and view was pretty good as well from all spots on the floor. Even the staff was pleasant from the pat-down outside to the security working the stage. I found street parking at the meter for $8.50, but they provide parking vouchers in two of the local garages for a reduced rate of $10.

I have mixed feelings about this venue. They're bring a huge variety of artist to their stage.... however, the stage is super small. There's a few limited tables and chairs but it's mainly standing room. I always feel very uncomfortable with the amount of people cramped together trying to watch the performer. Also, if you're using a meter parking, security will not let you leave to feed the meter and come right back. I think they nachos for food and a bar that ha control and you have to be aggressive to get a drink. I only come here for one of my favorite artists that comes here every tour... otherwise I don't know the artist they book. The reason for the 3 stars is because management is so nice and everyone but security us super nice. I do feel safe here.

Really enjoyed coming here for the recent Rubblebucket & Guerilla Toss show! The sound here was great, and I found the staff here overall to be very nice. One good perk for a concert venue is that Baltimore Soundstage has decent food options too (your typical bar food)) including some pretty good quesadillas for a quick bite. Would love to come back again!

It was my first time here, for the henny and waffles brunch event. The event was fine, the venue was okay. Downtown & its ridiculous parking prices always put a bad tase in my mouth but it was expected. I would go back to this venue. It's not a big place but it gets the job done. It was perfectly cool (temperature wise) on a very hot day. The bathrooms were pretty decent. Women will be women so there was wet sinks & paper towels everywhere.

Very small venue. Not easy to get to by public transportation. Security can be rude, they would not let me take in a sharpie pen so I could get an autograph from the artist after the show.. The bathrooms were nice. But it seems like sometimes they are way over capacity for the size of this venue. This is definitely not my first choice! I only go here when there is someone who I really want to see who's not coming to the Washington DC area.

Really egalitarian venue: all the sight lines are equally terrible, and everyone suffers equally. Flat, crowded, and next to impossible to see the performers unless you're over 6 foot 5.

Went to Chocolate Covered Rocky Horror show- easy online ticket purchase, simple entry upon arrival. The staff and space was welcoming and the show was outstanding. Audio was on point, no instruments just mics for this show. Drinks were strong..!

I've been here quite a few times and Soundstage anyways delivers. I like how small and intimate the space is. I've consistently been impressed with the mixing here (especially compared with a few other music venues nearby). I've been here for some pretty explosive performances and could hear all of the instruments and vocals (not always an easy feat with loud drums). I haven't had their food. Their beers are fine and, predictably expensive. I'll be looking for more shows at Soundstage.

This venue has an amazing sound system and is a great place to watch a show. But the staff are what set it apart. The organization and attention to customer service are flawless. Staff are coordinated to ensure the safety of the crowd without being intrusive or smothering. Table service was good but there was no pressure to use it. Would definitely recommend.

Frustrated from last night's show. Kicked out of club during the headliner. Wasn't even being the aggressor. Just a 50 year old guy trying to enjoy a show.

My first visit to the BS to see and hear the Neal Morse Band. The show was insanely great. The place is huge but not even 200 came out for the show, so, most of the facility was blocked off. The joint seems to be well run and the staff was nice. It's a dark room not unlike the old 930 Club in DC. Acoustics were fine but the house system did not sound that great. I'm glad they had seating, too. I'll keep my eyes out for coming attractions as I'd like to visit again.

Baltimore Soundstage is a typical music venue. Dark and grungy. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done as a concert venue. I've only been here once and it was to see Nick Carter (of Backstreet Boys) so maybe it's not the best representation of a usual BS night. The crowd, obviously mostly females in their 30s, was pretty tame. No bloodcurdling teenybopper screams or too many hands up in the air blocking your line of sight or drunk assholes. The sound system was decent. Heard him just fine. The show was general admission, but it's not a very big venue so I had a pretty good view of the performer wherever I stood. The bar by the left side of the stage had no wait. There is seating in the back where you can order food and drink, but I didn't order anything. The bathroom is filled with hair products, fruity sprays, and what not. I guess people get all smelly and messed up at these things! There is also an attendant who gives you soap and a paper towel. I don't see the point in this. I can get it on my own. If you're lucky, find street parking. Garage parking is expensive. *I didn't realize there is a parking discount until reading other reviews so make sure to ask the staff at the front desk about it!

I HIGHLY doubt I would come to this venue again. I bought Meet & Greet tickets and the day before the show, the venue sent an email saying it will start at 6pm SHARP. They emphasized the sharp. So my friend and I get there at 5:30, waste time in Marshalls next door because it's cold then come back at 6. Now there's a bit of a line, but not too bad. We didn't get inside til 7 and the show started at 8. The group didn't even arrive til 7:30. So while we're waiting in the meet & greet Line, general admin is allowed in and they start to make their way to stand near the stage. This means all the meet & greet people were going to be in the back. We heard they were giving partial refunds if u wanted to get out the line so that's what we did so we wouldn't be in the back. So we got our refund then we're told there's some tables we could sit at. That was the best part was having somewhere to sit. Unfortunately, they kept the doors open almost the entire time so it was cold in there. I ordered the hummus which was just okay. They don't have fries at the bar which was very weird. The chicken quesadilla wasn't all that either. Quick notes: - gratuity is already added to all checks - get your parking ticket validated before the end of the concert (makes it $10) -tickets must be displayed in PDF via phone, screenshots don't work for them to scan

I actually really love this venue. However, I can't give more than 3 stars because of the water situation. They sell water bottles for $4 each, and there is a $10 card minimum. You would need to buy 3 bottles to be above the minimum before tip. They do not give out tap water for free. Their website also says no outside drinks are allowed, but I don't know if water is something they're strict about. This just upsets me to see at a setting where people are dancing and sweating, drinking alcohol, and sometimes on drugs. And if you are attending the concert dead sober, you probably won't spend money on anything else at the bar. I think every venue should follow the 9:30 Club's model of having pitchers of water available for patrons to self pour. This way it's accessible, and they don't need to hold up the bartenders on a busy night.

The venue and all is nice. What killed this place for me was the staff. We were just having fun on a SLOW night after getting some drinks. No one asked about a wristband when we showed up about an hour late. We weren't told we needed wristbands. When they called my sister over I was concerned and simply asked what was going on when they put their hands on me. I wasn't the aggressor. Soon after, the manager steps out says one word, leaves. The manager was very useless, all he was good for was literally pushing me out of the venue after going to ask them why we were being thrown out for wristbands that THEY never mentioned. Essentially the staff is horrible, if you do anything that hurts their feelings, it won't matter if you've been following the rules, they'll find a reason to throw you out at your favorite show! Never coming back!

We love coming to this venue, we have seen multiple shows here. The staff is friendly, the venue is cozy and comfortable and it is easy to get in and out of. Being in the inner harbor you could go either way but we absolutely love it!

This was my first show at the Soundstage and I was satisfied but far from impressed. There are 2 flat seating levels, a lower one with tables cabaret style and an upper level behind it with rows of chairs. There is no floor pitch so sightlines are not great. Acoustics are fair but intermittent loud chatter from the kitchen was annoying. I would come back for a great band but this venue is not my first choice. One redeeming aspect is awesome Blaze Pizza right next store.

Great customer service from the staff and my Caesar wrap was tasty! Not expected for this place that's all about the music. They have some good craft beers on tap along with the regular selection, some truly's and full liquor bar. They try to enforce mask policy at front door and there's a sign that says "wear masks" but don't follow through once people are inside. If you ask for vaccine cards, I'd be okay with this but that is not the case. I am always looking for places that are more serous with their policies. But not here. About 50% of the audience did not have masks. We will not return if they don't change their protocols.

Excellent and a little gritty local venue. It's small enough where there isn't a bad spot in the entire venue. We saw John Waters and they had a big table seating area which covered more than half of the floor. The remaining area was just rows of chairs. Next time we go I'd spring for the tables. Overall I really liked the venue and location.

Worst venue in the region, bad sound, bad space, and terrible staff. If your favorite act comes through I would opt to drive to the next city before coming back.

Soundstage is the best concert venue in Baltimore. It's intimate and kinda on the smaller side (which is cool) they put some really good acts out. The only bad things about it is overpriced beer but that's any venue. The other bad thing is parking. The garage is easily accessible but have some very incompetent staff working it. We paid for parking at the kiosk before we left as per instructed upon arrival. Everyone did. However, everyone that followed the rules were scalded by an angry attendent who continued to remind you he's worked there for 10 years. 7 different cars pulled over in confusion with hazards on. I would have given 5 stars but the half hour parking lot fiasco made me realize why i rarley go to shows.

It is definitely a small venue. But there isn't a bad spot in the venue. I came here to see Bad Omens on March 3rd 2020. The venue had decent sound, the staff was great, and Overall I personally enjoyed myself.

The General Manager of Baltimore Soundstage Autumn Marek is not a good Manager. Neither are any of the other managers. they don't care about the customers as people. they treat them like numbers instead of people. Autumn Marek ignored my email when I reached out to her with an email and the email was very respectful. Her name and email address is on the website of soundstage but she refuses to talk to customers when they reach out to her. I was just trying to get a couple questions answered and I got ignored. I finally got some mystery person to email me on Facebook after I made several attempts to get someone to communicate with me and all they did was dodge my questions over and over again. it's managed by people with no education in business management and they don't care about there customers. I would highly recommend that nobody support this venue. it doesn't deserve any business.

This is a decent spot to see a band. Went for a metal show and had a good experience all around. Female bathrooms weren't shady and were clean. Drinks got served quickly, tab got closed quickly when requested. Wasn't overly packed or extremely hot inside. Nothing extraordinary, but a good venue in general. The only issue I had is that some of the security team seemed to be really ticked off to be doing their job and were a little rough. One guy was tossing his coats around, storming around the front, shaking his head, rolling his eyes, and even shoved a crowd surfer really hard soon after they landed to the point that they almost fell on the ground. None of the crowd surfers got tossed out or warned. I might consider putting different staff on for shows where crowd surfing might happen.

Not a bad venue at all. I had a decent experience here. Ample parking in the lot above (ask the venue for the validation discount ticket) and easy to find. Only downfall, I came overdressed and there was no readmittance if you leave, this carrying a bulky coat all night. No biggie. Several bars, none inexpensive but it is a venue - it's expected. I even saw food being made. Can't beat that.

Came here for a concert recently. It is like stepping back in the 80s. Black walls and dark. It was a cool night out and the ac was on and felt good until the bands came on. AC went off and got so hot. Makes you wonder if they so to get you to buy drinks. It got much hotter in there then it should have. I have been to plenty of concerts and don't remember last time I went to one that I was uncomfortably hot. I will go again to see if it's any better. It besides the decor and the temp it was a nice concert venue.

Love the quaint intimate venue , wishing the placement of the seats where different. My first visit I was upfront and center could touch the artist, this time I wasn't as close and there are a lot of structural features that prevent you from seeing , you don't realize this until you arrive......

I've been to Soundstage for a lot of concerts and random events. The space is wholly unimpressive but it's super dark in there so you barely notice. If it's an event that has tables and seats, you're usually seated with people you don't know, which sucks. Seeing a comedy show is also tight seating, but chairs are set out auditorium style, so less intimacy sharing a table with strangers. The VIP area leaves a lot to be desired and I'd say the food and drinks are overpriced (and the food is subpar). Despite all this, I've enjoyed all the concerts and other events I've attended, but that's more about the artists than the venue.

Amazing service from the box office girl, Alena. She was so sweet and helpful! Absolutely will come back if only because of her. Such a treat!

Came here for a concert last week. Had no problem whatsoever and the bands playing were awesome. Really enjoyed ourselves here!
