When visiting the area for DelFest, we discovered this established local restaurant. I enjoyed a house special blackened chicken breast topped with Andouille sausage and cheese over a bed of white and sweet potatoes. My wife and mother-in-law ordered the Maryland crab cake sandwiches with chips. They requested Old Bay to kick up the seasoning a bit. Server was very attentive!

Google
Great spot along Baltimore Street in Cumberland. Dog friendly. New Orleans themed bar and menu. We came on our way through town while pulling a camper. We parked in the shopping center lot for an easy off and on the interstate.

We stopped in on a Monday evening while visiting the area. Not much else was open in town and the menu looked good. We sat at the bar. Not too many people were there when we arrived however the tables did fill up shortly after. We had a couple beers and shared the best dam crab cake entree. I would say it was an ok crab cake. The vegetables were good. The bartender was friendly and personable. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual. Prices were reasonable. We parked in a lot and walked a block or two no problem. I like the cajun style items on the menu and maybe would try something else if I am ever here again.

Google
We absolutely enjoyed our dinner here. The food was delicious and the service was great! Our cocktails were very good. We were happy to be able to eat outside with our dog. The seating is next to the street but, the street isn’t obnoxiously loud.

Google
The Grill was a great place to stop for a late lunch while heading to Pennsylvania. We arrived at quiet time but still received attentive service and tasty food.

Google
Impressive menu with a broad range of options and prices. Down-to-earth pub-style ambiance. Clean and cozy.

Google
This place was exactly what we were looking for. The food was impeccable, we had crab dip for an app, it was loaded with crab, simple and delicious. The crab cakes were the perfect texture, and consistency. The crawfish etoufee was exactly what I anticipated being a New Orleans street grill. All made in house and fresh. Highly recommend. The setting is quaint and light the owner is engaged and works hard for her staff and customers. 2 additional stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We combined the food onto a plate so that’s not the original presentation.

Yelp
Great service, good beer selection and delicious food. Try the catfish nuggets and the tuna sandwich! We went back a second time.

Yelp
I found myself in Cumberland, MD for business & stumbled on Baltimore Street Grill. I was expecting a diner vibe, but it was moreso a bar atmosphere, with limited seating, 9 tables in total but you can also eat at the bar so that gives you more to work with. I wasn't super hungry so I got the Catfish strips, and a side of Onion Rings. What's up with restaurants serving onion rings with no type of dipping sauce for them? I got honey mustard as a sauce but that wasn't a hit. The strips were really good, seasoned well and fried good. The bartender that took my order was friendly too. I didn't see burgers on the menu until he handed my ticket to the waitress and when I asked if I could switch orders, he mentioned that my order was already in the kitchen. I could've fought to get what I wanted, but I really didn't have the energy. That said, what I got was good, so it wasn't a problem.

Yelp
Service, unbeatable! Cuisine, reliable. It's a gem. Go there and enjoy. The kitchen staff is stable and the bartenders are pleasant. It's groove-tastinc!

Yelp
Must get reservations or you sit next to the door with cold air every time the door opens. The food was good, seafood OK not like the Eastern Shore of Maryland! The crab was a bit dry in both the cake and the oysters Gino. The Marsala was perfect! Taco salad was large and delicious. The roman-laude sauce was delicious as was the bourbon chicken.

Yelp
This is an unassuming tavern on a street under construction in the historic district. But the dust outside did not come inside. (We did not opt for the outside tables in the sidewalk.) Inside is a classic pub, with dark wood, and a well appointed bar. The anomaly is that this old school tavern is staffed by a group of young people who are friendly and attentive. The seafood gumbo was good, with several types of seafood, and rich smokey andouille. The crab cake sandwich was exactly what we wanted on a trip through Maryland, and I uncharged mine with a side salad A good crab cake is meant to be eaten in a little hole in the wall tavern, and this is that kind of place.

Yelp
The Cajun Catfish Strips is my go to dish. Always check out the specials!! Wonderful spot for lunch , Happy Hour or dinner. Great lunch service, I am here often so Beth can predict what I will order!

Yelp
Really good cooking going on at this little eatery. We came to Cumberland Maryland to ride our bikes on the Allegheny Trail. Out of all the restaurants we went to during our stay this was our favorite. We had the Catfish Pontchartrain which was really delicious in a light creole sauce with peppers & onions. It came with a salad and the vegetable of the day which was a zucchini medley. The zucchini medley was sooooo tasty, I could've eaten a giant bowl of it. Got a side of rice and beans, which was very good and authentic, served with slices of sausage. A gem of a place.

Yelp
A small bar currently in the middle of a construction zone. Friendly staff, all our food was delicious, and once the construction is done with will be much cuter outside the restaurant. Kind of hard to get to currently. Our wings were delicious, jazzy and mild cooked perfectly, fries yum and also the crab chicken sandwich !'

Yelp
Stopped in on a Friday night. Service seemed slow and we were seated at a high table next to the window. Through the entire experience, our service seemed much slower than it should have been because the place was def not busy, but our drinks and food all took 2x longer than they should have. Everything was good though; catfish Po-boy and Philly cheesesteak. Def should not have taken 1+ hours for our trip though.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a fully stocked bar, good selection of beers on tap. I had the New Trail Crisp Lager which was light and refreshing. Cream of crab soup very nice, full of sweet crab and a nicely spiced cream broth. My wife and I both had a traditional burger which was juicy and cooked to perfection. Fun and lively atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
The best service, along with the best tasting food! The music was phenomenal! The black and blue tuna sandwich was amazing to say the least! When I'm in the area I'll definitely go out of my way to stop here!

Yelp
I ate here this afternoon for lunch and first of all the loud waitress was a little snappy and pushy, and I didn't like that. But I did order the gumbo and I must say it had a pretty good taste, I wouldn't call it authentic New Orleans style, but close and spicy. I then ordered the catfish fingers appetizer and was pretty disappointed in those in that they were very small almost the size of french fries and there was no taste in a lot of crust. I didn't even eat but half of them. So that's my opinion...
google avatar

Yelp
So I took a chance the shrimp étouffée, I've been burned before... Army buddy married a Cajun girl and spoiled me on real Cajun cooking. Anyway, I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Absolutely amazing! The brown sauce was perfect, the vegetables were crisp,(so you know it didn't sit in a crockpot all day keeping warm), and the shrimp tails popped right off. In a word, perfection. The service, beer selection, and bourbon selection were also very very good. If you do not come here while in Cumberland Maryland then you have cheated yourself. Compliments to the chef!

Sky S.

Yelp
They aren't lying by calling them the BEST damn crab cakes! Awesome service, good atmosphere and food is amazing. 10/10 we will be back!

Yelp
Wait staff was friendly and quick. The inside and outside had a decent amount of seating. I ate the taco salad inside of the tortilla shell and it was the best taco salad I've ever had. I would definitely get it again. I ordered a side of fries and honestly, they were just ok. I didn't need them. My friend ordered the cheesesteak and she said it was pretty good!

Yelp
Baltimore Street Grill is located in the heart of downtown Cumberland, Maryland. It's a small, pub-style restaurant that serves Cajun, Italian and American dishes ranging from etouffe, scampi and pizza. I ordered the catfish po' boy sandwich. The catfish was cooked well and flavorful, but the rest of the sandwich was pretty plain. The wait staff is very nice and attentive, and the outdoor seating provided a nice atmosphere for dinner on a Saturday evening. Baltimore Street Grill is a nice place to visit if you're in the area and want a quick bite to eat.
google avatar

Mariam W.

Yelp
The plus side: nice atmosphere for outdoor seating, prompt and friendly service The minus side: just average food, super dirty high chair for our kiddo We were just passing through and needed somewhere to stop for lunch and we try to avoid chain restaurants for all sorts of reasons. We did have a pleasant lunch and the downtown was nice to walk around after our meal to stretch our legs. Everything was edible and I can tell they are attempting to do some unique things with the menu. I had the burger of the day which had pesto sauce and sun dried tomato on it. It was nice that it wasn't just a 'standard' burger.

Yelp
Today Tony and I had lunch in Cumberland MD at The Baltimore Street Grill on Baltimore Street in downtown Cumberland. We found free on street parking near by and walked over the restaurant. Lovely outside dining available but it was so hot today like 95 degrees so we opted to dine inside. We were greeted and seated quickly. Tony ordered a Budweiser and I got Unsweetened Iced Tea with lemon and lime. We opted to order a small Pepperoni Pizza with onions and jalapenos and BELIEVE ME... DELICIOUS IS NOT THE BEST WORD....this Pizza was OUTSTANDING!!! PLENTY of Sauce and Tons of cheese... everything was perfect!!! Honestly couldn't find one thing wrong!! Waitress was extremely attentive.I know more than got my glass half empty and she was there to fill it up. The tea was very good too, brewed perfectly!! Price was great!!! We both left full and satisfied. I hope you go and experience dining there!!!

Yelp
Walked from the train station after our excursion got cancelled. Had planned to eat dinner here but now decided to have lunch before heading home. Greeted warmly and received a varied menu. Decided on catfish, crab cake sandwich, onion rings and drinks. Finished off the meal sharing bread pudding. Everything was tasty. Great meal saved our day from being a total loss.

Yelp
Best crab cakes in Cumberland. All meat; no filler. Personable staff and charming atmosphere

Yelp
Fantastic spot. Cream crab soup and catfish strips are outstanding. I highly, highly recommend this gem. Support them during major construction outside the store front. They are OPEN and you should go! Owner is charismatic, caring and easy to talk to.

Yelp
Fantastic wings, good crab sandwiches. Loved the wings! Jazzy and Hot were great! Not a fan of the "blue cheese" dressing. Don't know what it is, but it ain't blue cheese. Crab cake and coastal chicken sandwich were very good. Very tasty remoulade sauce. In town/downtown Cumberland is super cool place thanks to places like this.

Yelp
My usual go to in Cumberland. Used to go for business but now for pleasure as my brought my wife out to meet with former customers yet good friends in Grantsville. We stayed at a nearby hotel and I decided, based on my history with BSG, decided to bring her in for dinner. She was immediately impressed by Baltimore St alone as we imagined the area in Cumberland's past. We arrived early for dinner, before 5, due to a book club meeting via Zoom. We were seated immediately and perused the menu. I had a yen for pasta as she was craving a burger. She ordered a burger, sans bun, smothered with caramelized onions and mushrooms, accompanied by sweet potato fries and a house salad. I opted for a special pasta dish: Shrimp and bacon pesto sauce atop linguine. Needing an appetizer, I ordered chicken strips. We enjoyed adult beverages. Merlot and Yeungling. The food, atmosphere and staff were all good. It's almost like Cheers. The locals and regulars obviously know each other and that in itself contributes to the consistency I've enjoyed and that my wife enjoyed for the first time. Although business trips are out of the question for now, I'm planning to visit Grantsville at least annually. Baltimore Street Grill will be part of the journey.

Yelp
What a nice surprise. Stopped in Cumberland, Md while traveling for a break and meal. Cumberland streets are completely torn up down to the gravel! The poor business owners really need support. Found this gem of a tavern. Great service and delicious food. I had the crab cakes which were absolutely amazing. The best I've had. They are ALL crabmeat, no fillers and perfectly seasoned. The hubby had a burger which was cooked just right. They have a nice selection of craft beers. Overall a great meal and pleasant break in our travels. Definitely worth stopping here despite the streets being a mess.

Yelp
We ordered crab cake sandwiches. It comes w chips and a pickle, fried and a margarita on the rocks no salt. The margarita was mediocre. Our sandwiches had no flavor, not even crab!! The service was good and it's a very nice restaurant. Our bill was almost $50 for the little bit we ordered that wasn't even worth it. Will not go back.

Maddy Z.

Yelp
Decent food, service was good, casual ambiance. Drinks were good, the full bar is nice
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food, great margaritas and even better staff. We had the jambalaya and Alfredo pasta, great portions and prices. If you're in Cumberland, stop by!
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
The dining experience was average but the restaurant had the feel of a local pub. The outside eating area was very nice, I'd prefer that over the indoor seating. The staff was very friendly! I'd recommend the Jazzy Hot wings. They came out hot and were just right on the crispiness. The onion rings tasted good but were a little mushy. My friend ordered the shrimp etouffee which came with the choice of a house or caeser salad. The sauce to rice ratio was a little off but it was true to the Cajun flavor; it is advertised as having jumbo shrimp but they were regular sized.

Kellen A.

Yelp
The service was quick and very attentive with refilling drinks. I did not enjoy my jambalaya at all. Maybe I don't know what good jambalaya is. I would not recommend the jambalaya. I enjoyed the wings though.

Yelp
Listen, I didn't have high expectations for any place in Cumberland, but this one was a great surprise. I decided to visit after the reviews and they were right. This place has indoor and outdoor seating. They do not take reservations, so it is a first come first serve basis. I thought it was strange they didn't take reservations but you just have to wait around for tables. Because of covid, they are only serving things with plastics, like plastics cups, utensils, plates etc. I wasn't too impressed with that, but again, it's covid times. The outside area had umbrella tables which was nice. The one thing I really didn't like was that they had a trash can where the servers would dump the left over food from people who ate outside. So when you're sitting outside at the tables near the service area, you have no choice but to smell the old food and experience the flys swarming it. The food really took my by surprise. The wings I ordered in medium Buffalo sauce and they're the best wings I've ever had, seriously. I visited this restaurant twice and both times I got the wings they were that good. The onion rings are another must have if you visit. The one thing I thought was unnecessary was the taco shells they serve all their salads in. Most people I witnessed didn't even eat the shells and they ended up in the trash. I think their salads would be better off without the taco shell bowls. The service was more on the slow slide during dinner, I think they were understaffed. There is a one stall bathroom towards the back. There is a full bar inside. Overall I recommend coming here! It has great food!

Yelp
Foods are delicious! We had the ahi tuna Alfredo, gumbo soup, and mussels as appetizers. Love the Alfredo and mussels, as well as their toasts on the side.

Yelp
While on our way to visit friends, my daughter and I decided to try this restaurant based on previous reviews. The pedestrian area here is very attractive adding to the ambiance of the outdoor dining experience. The service was top notch and the food was good. My daughter's shrimp jambalaya was delicious. I ordered the crab cake and fries. I have had better and I have had worse crab cakes. Overall, it was good and I would recommend it.
google avatar

Yelp
Wiped out after a 75 mile bike ride I came in famished and they didn't disappoint. The food itself was terrific but what impressed me was the service. They take a team approach and didn't miss a beat.

Yelp
Nice dining option in Cumberland. We were staying at Rocky Gap and it was nice to dine downtown. They have outdoor seating and you can hear the fountain it sounds and feels nice. The servers were pleasant. Full bar. The food was ok. Loved the variety. The gumbo was one of the best I ever had. Came out so hot, both my hubby and I loved it! The smothered burger I got was just ok, not what I expected. The 2 round big rings of green pepper were barely cooked. I thought it would be diced up and cooked well. But regardless, it wasn't bad. Overall, we had a good experience and would return. I would love to try their salads and crab cake. Oh and they have a juke box inside, we played some music and it helped with toning down the loud conversations near us.
google avatar

Mike P.

Yelp
Good beer selection. Good spicy Cajun cuisine. The jambalaya is off the hook. Used to love sitting outside but that isn't currently option.
google avatar

Blake S.

Yelp
Crab cakes solid. Chicken sandwich good. Service was on point. Cool spot, no parking.
google avatar

Abigail B.

Yelp
Personally I got salmon pasta and it wasn't my favorite but my friend got a different dish and I loved it. I don't like capers and they were in the pasta.... Service was quick and the servers were super nice. Ambiance was also good lots of friendly people.

Yelp
The food here is always good, and the staff are great. They treat you like family and consistently provide excellent service. The atmosphere is great for just a drink or for a nice meal (lunch or dinner). And if you happen to forget your purse there, they're on top of it and make sure you get it back. Wonderful place!!

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Food was outstanding!! Service was excellent! Place was packed and had a great feel. Cajun food was the best I've had outside of NOLA. Catfish was phenomenal and dessert was amazing. Will return

Rutendo R.

Yelp
Best servers ever . Awesome food Baltimore Street Grille. Had our anniversary lunch and we are on a strict low carb diet and they had all we needed to suit our needs Aubrey was our server and she was amazing
google avatar

Lisa Y.

Yelp
Nice spot in the center of town. Ate indoors where we received very nice service fron our server. I got the gumbo, which had a clear ish/white sauce, rather than the typical tomato based soup. Not a big fan. The coffe me was good and plentiful, the burger was handmade and all in all a nice place to grab lunch!

Rob W.

Yelp
If you want a cold beer and lunch look no further in the downtown Cumberland area. This place has a great feel due to the old hotel style look inside. The food is probs the best food I've had at a bar...ever. Service was great and bartender friendly, definitely coming back.

Robin C.

Yelp
Great food, friendly service. Exceptional tuna salad with creativity. Fun to be outside and people-watch.
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
On this visit my husband had the catfish Pontchartrain, which was tender and moist. Ordering a side of rice made it a more substantial dinner. Its featured side -- zucchini and yellow squash sauteed with white wine and lots of garlic -- was delicious. I accidentally ordered the jambalaya, forgetting that it had meat in it, but admit that I enjoyed the andouille sausage. :) We really enjoyed sitting at an outdoor table on a Saturday evening.
google avatar

Greg B.

Yelp
Good food in a cool area of downtown Cumberland. Not a big place, but the service was quick and good. It was rather cold the day we went, so we didn't get to walk around the brick courtyard much. Free parking was available near the restaurant.
google avatar

Ben B.

Yelp
This is a typical bar on the main old downtown part of Cumberland. It is cozy and clean.

Michael B.

Yelp
I honestly love this place it is one of the best restaurants in cumberland the food is spectacular. And the service just as good me and my family have been. Going here every Wednesday for the past 11-10 years and the service has always been amazing just like the food 5/5 stars for me

Yelp
We were in town for DelFest and wanted to eat somewhere good before we had Festival food for 4 days. It's fairly small inside and at lunch time on a Thursday it was busy, but we got lucky and found a small table. Service was quick for drinks and the menu was varied enough that should work for everyone. I ordered the turkey club with chips. The sandwich came quickly and was perfect! The ingredients were all fresh and it was made well. Would definitely return when in the area.
