We were told this was the best restaurant in San Pedro de Atacama, so we had to check it out. Getting a reservation was straightforward. I just messaged them on Whatsapp, and the restaurant was super responsive. We were able to get a table same day. The menu is prix fixe and the food was solid. We got: 1) Sopaipilla y guacamole - This fried dough amuse bouche was so yummy. The guacamole was incredibly fresh and full of spice and flavor 2) Cream of zucchini with pumpkin seeds - this dish was also wonderful. Just the right amount of zucchini aroma, with a much welcomed spicy kick 2a) The other appetizer option was a caprese salad with pesto and toasted corn. This was beautifully plated, fresh, and yummy 3) Charred duck with dried pear sauce, lima beans, giant corn kernels, squash, and balsamic reduction. The duck was cooked a nice medium but still a bit tough 4) Mousse made from añapa local dried fruit, topped with red berries and quinoa. The mousse was very light and fluffy. It had very subtle hints of vanilla and supported the sweet tartness of the red berries well. 4a) The other dessert option was quinoa flan with cactus seeds. This was reeeaally sweet. Overall, I really enjoyed our meal. It is a bit pricey for what you get, but considering you're in the middle of the desert, the restaurant did a fine job. Service was a bit slow but very friendly.

Food: The food had a great presentation and the taste had a great balance of various tastes some of which were very new to me (since they used herbs and foods native to the region). Service: The waiter was very friendly and professional (which is rare to see these days). Atmosphere: The place was small and cozy. I liked that they only served a few tables a day (only through previous reservation) allowing them to keep quality over quantity. I highly recommend this place. So much that I actually went there two days in a row.

Wonderful place - high quality food, exceptional service and great wines. It is a bit upscale - fixed menu (meat or fish) but worth every penny. Thank you and I will definitely come back!

Definitely the best food in San Pedro. I particularly loved the guanaco (!) stew and the desserts, one of which had a chañar mousse and the other was a baked apple on top of quinoa cream (kind of like horchata I think but with quinoa instead of rice). Really good! It’s expensive but so worth it given the alternatives. Minus one star for the weak wine list. If they step up their wine/cocktail selection this place could be a real destination.

Lovely place. Fixed daily menu. Local ingredients, very inspiring. Waiters are amazingly professional and friendly. Presentation is great, food is good. One suggestion: focus more on simplicity, one dish per plate, less is more.

The food was just mediocre at best. The salad was good but the pumpkin soup soup was very bland. The salmon was alright while the meat and sausage were pretty good. The desserts were the total disappointment. The Panna cotta came with chocolate which was totally out of place. The chocolate in the dish seems to be the low quality one. The apple pie was pretty bland and came with roasted chick pea, strawberry and chocolate drop. It seemed very eclectic. The flavor combination does not go together at all.

We had high expectations of Baltinache from our hostel. The food was good but certainly not as good as it was hyped up to be to us. It was also fairly expensive. That being said they had the best Pisco sours we had in San Pedro de atacama… and we had a lot!

3 course meal with local ingredients, no menu but a choice of two options for the starter and entree. Excellent pisco sours, wonderful service , in a cozy environment
