The only cafe that I’ve been had many variants of hot chocolate. Truly awesome 👍. We’ll be back to try all the hot chocolate. FYI, their pancakes was good. Soft and fluppy and not dry. Their bread was good as well. Soft in the inside and chewy, crispy on the outside. The cafe interior is nice and so chill, quite picturesque 😉 and instagramable 😁

This is by far one of the top places to enjoy some of the planet's best cocoa tastes. A very warm and cosy atmosphere that lends itself to reading, writing or just relaxing with friends. The staff provides excellent service to guests. Probably one of my favorite spots in this world. Update 2024: adding a star for atmosphere. Everything else remains valid, especially the service.

It's a really great place to have coffee, a big variety of cakes. The atmosphere is amazing.

The owner is really a great human, very nice and good values, the hot chocolates are out of this world, and the food is also incredible for a chocolate/coffee shop ! Definitely one of my favorite spots :)

Google
The best place for hot cocoa in the French part of Switzerland. They have a very nice selection of chocolate, with and without si spices. The place is cosy and cute although it is a bit tacky, the staff is friendly and service is fast. The food is good but a bit pricey. I am taking two stars away as their cups are really awful. Seriously, when you sell specialty cocoa at CHF8.50, don't serve it in a Trottet brand coffee cup (Trottet is discount coffee from Geneva...)

Yelp
Balzac restaurant has a fantastic interior decoration. The owner should have travelled in Southeast Asian countries. So it explains the warm colours of their beautiful features. We ate delicious shrimps on rice Thai style accompanied with mixed salad. They have an interesting choice of hot chocolates with different spices. We enjoyed the one we tried. It's to mention that Balzac is often crowded and it's better to reserve in advance. The service was very friendly and the prices are averaged. http://www.balzac.ch/index.html

Yelp
I bookmarked this place to try purely on the words "hot chocolates and spices". When I woke up this morning to a dreary cold rainy Saturday, hot chocolate was on my mind, and so my friend and I headed to Morges. This place definitely lives up to the motto printed on the storefront window, "Factory - Hot Chocolate and fine food". The first question to be prepared to answer is if you want to drink (boire) or eat (morge). If you just want to drink then you can find a seat in their comfy lounge area in the back, or if you want to eat you can squeeze into a table. If you have a large group definitely reserve in advance. Alexandre is correct, this place is crowded, and we arrived at 1:40 and staid until 4:30, and it never slowed down. As we walked in I fell in love with this place instantly. The decor is cosy and has a Moroccan feel. There is a separate drink and food menu. It is not an easy task to pick just one thing to eat or drink. Everything sounds and looks delicious. They have a large selection of salads and sandwiches to choose from. The drinks menu hosts a huge selection of loose leaf teas, hot chocolates, as well as speciality espresso + chocolate drinks. We settled on having grilled sandwiches with salads for lunch, and then ending with a espresso chocolate drink. I also took home for my husband a cannelle (cinnamon) creme tart. Everything was perfection. The espresso drink was called the "Samba", and had a dark chocolate orange flavor. It was definitely the best chocolate coffee drink I have had. It was the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate flavor. The cinnamon tart was also a huge it with my husband. It must have been a popular choice because when I left at 4:30 there was only 1 left in the glass case. To top it off the service was extremely friendly. I am definitely heading back here again. TIPS: This place does accept credit cards (except American express). This place is closed on Mondays, Tuesday-Friday open till 6:30pm, except for Thursday they are open until 10pm. Saturday and Sunday they are open until 5:00pm. They advertised a Sunday brunch for 47 CHF which is a bit pricey for brunch, but looked delicious, and requires reservations.

Yelp
Interesting Brunch on Sundays: they serve spicy dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and people friendly. For the brunch the booking is necessary.

Yelp
Excellent Morroccan style fare, kid friendly. we sat outside on the street-level patio. In addition to hot chocolate they have some delicious creative espresso drinks as well.

Qype User (sboot…)

Yelp
Café Balzac specialise in hot chocolate. Yes, exactly. They have about 15 different kinds of cocoa from all over the world, all delicious (forget industrial hot chocolate, this is the real thing). They also have a very nice selection of tea and coffee. This is quiet place (soft music) with a cozy living-room feel to it. Furniture comes from various places, brought back by the two owners from their travels around the world. You can also buy small objects like Moroccan lamps, tea-pots, etc, which are on display in the café. Food (at noon!) is great and made to order. This is not a place to come and quickly grab something in a hurry! Take your time, and spend a few hours chatting with a good friend. Their home-made iced tea is delicious and changes regularly. They have wonderful desserts too. And if you feel like it, book a Sunday morning "Grand Déjeuner" (almost a brunch) there once. I recommend booking if you're there to eat. It's usually full.
