Bambarakanda Holiday Resort

Room is clean and cozy with a nice view. However, bathroom should be improved. Unfortunately our bathroom window was opened throughout the night due to a electric wire and it attracts wild life. Food was great, nice family and they are very friendly. Our timming was not so great, the road was closed due to construction and we had to use a rough and dangerous bypass road twice the distance Road was not good in last 300m and after the resort as well.

Not the most luxurious place but nothing short of great care and views. This is probably the best place if you want to see the waterfall from your bed. They had rooms with 2 double beds which was great for a family of 4. The main road going to the place from the Kalupahana junction was closed and we had to take an alternative road which wasn't ideal and I wouldn't recommend going through there after 6pm. However, if the general route is available then no issues. The entrance to the waterfall is only about 200m from the place.

Bambarakanda Holiday Resort is an absolutely peaceful rereat with breathtaking view of the tallest waterfall and surrounding mountains. Excellent location with calm and quiet environment. The great hospitality of aunty Sera and her loving daughter were exceptional. They made the place feel like home. The ambiance of the hotel perfectly complements the serene beauty of Kalupahana, It looks a bit like a cottage in Europe. Making it an ideal place for relaxation and paradise for naturalist. The room was nice, clean, specious and meals also good. They have two beautiful lovely canines too 🐶 Highly recommended and will visit for stay again for sure..

We stayed a full board at this place. It was worth the price. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Great hospitality, it’s almost similar to a home stay, highest waterfall view rooms are the deluxe and the best ones, easy to arrange a devil staircase trip from here , the lady who manages this lovely place has good experience in all the attractions around, we covered idalgashinna from bottom to station , devil stairs,weli wanguwa,lanka ella, alien faced rock( galapitagala) within 1 and 1/2 days . Food is average but cooked with love , prices are very fare , road from Kalupahana even for a small car can manage, only few pits but most of the road is carpeted properly, highly recommended

Spent a very magical two days in this place which had stunning views of the nearby Bambarakanda falls and the surrounding mountains. The rooms were comfortable and the food was just really good too. The hosts were the nicest people I've ever met (hosted by a mother and her daughter) Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have a quiet getaway🩷

Had a good 2 days stay in the resort. The great hospitality of young lady and her mother was exceptional. The home made food were delicious. We had a family vacation with my 2 sister's families and my parents. We reached the resort at around 9.30 pm and they welcomed us and prepared the dinner for us without any hesitation. The location was great as the Babarakanda and Lanka water falls are in walking distances. Calm and quiet environment. The morning view of the Babarakanda fall and the surrounding mountains are breathtaking. Rooms are clean. Delux rooms a specious, But standard rooms can improve more. They got all the facilities including hot water. The place is big enough for our big group. The staff member Saman also a very nice person. The 2 kind ladies and Saman do their maximum effort to making our stay better and best. I am personally appreciate very much the great service of 2 ladies. Will recommend this place to anybody. Definetely I will go and stay with them again if I visit Kalupahana area again.

The resort is situated not far from Bambarakanda falls. Its a beautiful location. The rooms were clean. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. Good service for the price
