Almost a month has passed since my departure from Bamboo Nest, yet a piece of my soul feels intertwined with the serene beauty and warmth of this unique getaway. Nok and Nah are not just hosts; they are the most lovely people I’ve ever encountered, making us feel cherished and well-cared-for throughout our visit. As the only guests, we enjoyed an exquisite, independent bungalow that felt like our personal haven. Every piece of furniture tells its own story, vintage and beautifully preserved, contributing to the rustic charm of the place. The vegetable garden deserves a special mention. It’s not just a garden but the heart of the kitchen. Knowing that all the food prepared came fresh from this garden made each meal a delightful experience in farm-to-table dining. The activities were thoughtful and engaging. We had the opportunity to try eco-printing, which was both fun and enlightening. The day field trip was perfectly organized, providing an intimate glimpse into the local culture and landscapes, making us feel even more connected to the region. Thanks to Nok and Nah, our stay was more than just a visit; it was a soulful journey we will cherish forever.

Nok and Nah are fantastic hosts, I had a great two nights’ stay with them. Nok’s cooking is incredible, some of the best food I’ve had since being in Thailand. If you’re visiting Chiang Rai and looking for peace and quiet in the countryside, I’d recommend a stay here.

A beautiful place to stay to escape the busy cities of Northern Thailand. Bamboo Nest is now situated in an eco-village just a short trip from Chiang Rai. The village is incredibly friendly and welcoming! The house has been built from upcycled materials and is very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the open air porch in the hammocks reading our books and birdwatching. Three peaceful days at Bamboo Nest has recharged our batteries. Cooking with Nok in the evenings was really fun and we learned a lot! Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The two cats are very sweet and love treats! Hopefully we will be back to visit another time!

Me and my partner visited last month and had the nicest time. It is a small homestay with a living area and private bedroom and bathroom. The owners live next door, with a large cooking space and garden in between. We cooked great vegetarian meals with them, and spent our days exploring the surrounding area. They are helpful with giving you ideas for activities or things to see nearby, and offer very reasonably priced transportation and tours if required. Go here if you want a simple, peaceful and reviving break. We would love to return.

The Location is so beautiful if you just want to have some quiet time in nature and escape from the busy streets of chiang rai... I enjoyed my stay with Nok and her husband very much. I chilled all day in the hammock and figured out the next steps of my travels and it is the perfect place for that. There is noone to connect though so if you travel solo, you really have ti be comfortable with being alone (which was exactly what I needed). There are also some trails to hike and chiang rai is just a 20 minutes drive away (they drive you for 200 bath). You can cook authentic Thai food with Nok in the evening. I am vegi, which wasn't a problem at all :) The room is spacious and Bed is comfortable, there is a mosquitonet and a bathroom. You have the bungalow/bigger house with kitchen, balcony and living room all for yourself and the two of them live right next to it. I could help plant cactee one afternoon which was really sweet. Oh and they have the cuuutest cats! You have a perfect view for the sunrise and the sunset. All in all really worth the price and a really unique homestay experience to stay there. Thank you guys!

A great place in the country side, in a eco-village where all people there grown their own organic food. Nok and Nah are very kind, helpful and manage their place perfectly, from cleaning, to cooking delicious dishes at breakfast and dinner. The atmosphere and the vibes you feel are special and strong. I'll surely go back there on my next trip to Thai and recommend it 100%

Beautiful place in eco village! Mrs Nok is the best host! She has a great knowledge of plants and knows a lot about the Chiang Rai region, traditions and history. She showed us how to cook Thai food (delicious!) and how to use plants in the household. We had a great trekking trip with delicious lunch in a village. Although it is a bit expensive it is totally worth it! Do not hesitate to go there! It really feels like home away from home:)
