We stayed two nights in the so-called “hobbit” rooms and honestly, it’s overpriced for what you get. The bed is only a full size, the bathroom has an open window inside the unit (meaning anyone in the room can see inside), and there is no A/C. During the day the room gets very hot, and at night it’s uncomfortable if you’re used to sleeping in a cool room.
The infrastructure is visually nice and very Instagram-friendly, and the breakfast was good, but that’s where the positives end. Another important detail: parking is two blocks away, so if it rains (which is very common in Boquete), you have to walk those two blocks, making it quite uncomfortable—especially with luggage.
You can find much better amenities for a lower price in Boquete, so the overall value just isn’t there.
What really made this experience unacceptable was the hotel’s handling of a security breach. Their website suffered a phishing attack and our personal information was leaked. We were contacted by scammers via WhatsApp, and since then my email has been flooded with junk and scam emails.
The hotel did not warn guests, despite admitting they were aware of the attack. We only found out because we reached out ourselves. They didnt take any responsibility, which is extremely unprofessional and concerning when it comes to guest data and trust.
Overall: nice concept, good breakfast, bad value for money, and very disappointing handling of a serious issue. I would not recommend staying here.
