Bambuda Castle

I had a wonderful stay at Bambuda Castle. I reserved the "Just Right Hobbit House" and the room was so cute and cozy with a stunning view from the big picture window. The bed overlooked a beautiful coffee plantation. Bambuda is very welcoming. The staff and the decor are lovely. Madalyn and Melanie at reception were always very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. I would stay again and recommend Bambuda to all my friends.

Castle looks great, hobbit houses are very cozy and the view is very nice. The castle has music playing from 7am which is quite annoying when it's such a peaceful area and you can hear it from the hobbit houses. Food isn't too bad, cocktails are great and staff are nice. Pool is quite small but the jacuzzis nice.

We stayed in the Hobbit house and it was so unique and fun! The view from the restaurant is amazing!! Melanie at reception also took such good care of us, was so helpful in booking excursions as we navigated some rainy weather, as well as our shuttle through road blocks!!!

We came here just for drinks and the beautiful scenery. If you want tranquility and peace, this is it. At noon at least. On a Saturday. We did not eat nor stay the night. They have music playing in the background, which I would prefer they don’t but it’s like jazzy/lounge kinda music which does not spoil it too much. Pet friendly!! Nice breeze. They are still working on the place though and sometimes you get the noice from that. Other than that I loved it.

After hiking, a group of us came here to have coffee and I was delighted with the amazing view from the terrace. Everything about this place is really nice! I didn't stay here but I would. Very lovely. Good service.

Really loved the hotel, great view and very relaxing, however the housekeeping could of been way better. Shared bathrooms were dirty, bins overflowing of toilet paper, old towels that smell bad in the bathroom, making the whole shared room smell musty.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and it only got better throughout my stay. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding service from the staff. The waitstaff – José, Aldair, and Nedelka – were incredibly attentive, friendly, and always made sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of. They served everything with a smile and a genuine desire to make my stay enjoyable. Equally impressive were the receptionists, Melanie and Yari, who were always ready to help with anything I needed – from local recommendations to arranging transportation. Their kindness, professionalism, and positive energy made a huge difference and helped me feel right at home. The castle itself is stunning, with breathtaking views, cozy spaces, and a unique atmosphere that makes it a one-of-a-kind destination. But what truly sets Bambuda Castle apart is the incredible team behind it. I’m beyond grateful for the experience and can’t wait to return someday!

We rented one of the hobbit houses- it was really cute, such a unique experience! The castle grounds are beautiful, despite the construction going on. The bed was decent, great shower, lots of storage space, and there was a dehumidifier in the room, which was awesome since it's so humid. The room was nice and quiet too. We had a Queztal drink at the bar, it was delicious. The big downsides are that there was no mini fridge or safe and the room tended to get warm. The ceiling fan helped, but not much. More hangers would've been helpful too, but we didn't ask. Parking is very minimal- we were lucky to get a spot where someone wasn't parked behind us, blocking us in. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful.
