We rented one of the hobbit houses- it was really cute, such a unique experience! The castle grounds are beautiful, despite the construction going on. The bed was decent, great shower, lots of storage space, and there was a dehumidifier in the room, which was awesome since it's so humid. The room was nice and quiet too. We had a Queztal drink at the bar, it was delicious. The big downsides are that there was no mini fridge or safe and the room tended to get warm. The ceiling fan helped, but not much. More hangers would've been helpful too, but we didn't ask. Parking is very minimal- we were lucky to get a spot where someone wasn't parked behind us, blocking us in. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful.

Bambuda castle was one of my favorite places to visit. The views and property are STUNNING. WOW WOW WOW. They are constructing new rooms and the ones we saw were very unique. The staff is very kind, PATIENT, and helpful. Yari and Michelle made sure we had everything we needed 😍🥰. My girlfriend and I felt great there even if we were a little needy. If you’ve never been to a non American hotel it’s best you set your expectations. You may not have AC or hot water all the time. This is the perfect place to stay if you need a hostel, romantic get away or family vacation. They can help with transport and food plus amazing experiences. Book one through the hotel and get advice from locals. Personally i would skip the 3am volcano 🌋 that drive is bad. Bamuda castle is a must visit. Love to the staff, A & A

We have never been treated so rudely by an employee where I’m spending over $1000 to stay. After staying three nights one of the front desk clerks rudely told us to move our car from the lower parking lot because it’s for check in only and the car has to be parked 1/4 mile uphill.. I told her I was handicapped and could not walk up the hill. When we returned from dinner that night the parking lot was full of cars. The same cars were there in the morning. The restaurant food was horrid. There was broken glass on our front porch, I asked to have it swept up and that was never handled. We checked out a day early because of the rude employee and the inedible food. We will never stay here again and I highly recommend you don’t either!

Our family had mixed feelings about our stay since the hotel was under construction, which we did not expect. In our search there appeared to be limited availability, which we assumed was due to high demand, but later saw that it was that many rooms were under construction. We payed full price, almost $400 for one night in what was sold online to be a luxurious experience. However, we checked in at 8pm only to find that there were no curtians on the sliding doors, making the room clearly visible from the outside. Melany from the front desk was apologetic, but it took the staff almost two hours to install the curtains. They apologozed stating that the room was newly constructed. They advertised online that there was wifi and air conditioning, but later found out that those were not working in the room. Melany was understanding of our complaints and encouraged us to speak with management in the morning. If it gad not been 10pm and having no other options, we would had definitely asked for a refund. We cannot deny that the view is stunning, and the breakfast was delicious. However, at times it felt like the staff was not happy to serve us. We spoke with the young lady at the front desk who stated that the manager offered to refund the price of our breakfast. The manager never approached us personally and we simply went on with our day so as to not ruin our experience any longer. Even after the late night we had waiting 2 hours for the curtains, we were only given 30 minutes past check out after we requested some extra time since it took them an hour to serve our breakfast even though we were the only ones in the restaurant that morning. It definitely was not worth the $397 we spent for only one night. It seems that now is not the best time to visit Bambude Castle. ☹️

Stayed here on our way from Bambuda Santa Catalina to Bambuda lodge. The castle looked great online, but when we arrived the staff wasn’t really hospitable and there was a lot of construction work going on during our stay. This wasn’t communicated before we booked. This meant a lot of noise in our room and meant we couldn’t rest properly. We wanted to have dinner in the restaurant but the employee asked us to leave because the construction workers needed to have a break there. Overall we didn’t have an enjoyable stay and I thinks it’s strange that such nuisances weren’t communicated beforehand and we paid full price

Cool looking place. Nice staff. Rooms are ok. Water pressure not good. Construction happening to make improvements to certain rooms. Workers making noise 6:30am through 9:00pm. 👎🏼

Horrible experience! Lobby, room and even common area smell like old shoe. Stuff unfriendly. Description very untrue: no pool, no parking, room dirty

The road to get the to hotel is not in good condition(was being repaired during our visit) the restaurant was non-existent, we always had to eat somewhere else. The tower room was a new concept but quite inconvenient.
