I had a really great stay at this hostel! Everything was very clean, well organized, and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. I felt at home right away. The staff were all friendly and helpful, but I especially want to mention Jesús. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and always in a good mood. He made sure everyone felt comfortable and was always ready to help with recommendations or anything we needed. I would definitely recommend this hostel and would happily stay here again! 😊

Had a great stay at this hostel! It’s clean, social, and has such a welcoming vibe. The staff are super lovely and helpful. The pool area is amazing with stunning views – perfect for relaxing and meeting other travelers. Highly recommend!

Amazing hostel, beautiful location with a slide into the ocean and a pool. Good food with family dinners every evening, and activities such as pubquizes after! Staff was very nice and remembered all our names. Special shoutout to Wouter for being so welcoming and to Ben for the amazing jungle hike! Can highly recommend this place!

And then came the highlight of a bad comedy show: we were asked to leave the moment I posted an honest, critical review about our experience. Apparently, feedback here is about as welcome as a monsoon during beach season. A quick look at other negative reviews shows a rather impressively consistent pattern: handling criticism does not seem to be their strongest talent. When we tried to talk to (?) Victor, he walked away and made comments that we experienced as inappropriate and disrespectful toward women.||||If you’re seeking luxury, professionalism, hygiene or even the most basic level of hospitality, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. But if you’re in the mood for a stay that feels like an unfriendly, overpriced and overhyped reality show by influencers, congratulations, you’ve found the perfect place.||||Bambuda Lodge looks nothing like the fancy influencer style photos on Booking. The so called jungle waterslide is absolutely not the magical ride they claim it is; it was literally just a loose blue tarp thrown on the ground, and of course, not open for use. The entire hotel felt old, run-down, and absurdly overpriced.||||When we arrived, we were completely ignored. After wandering around awkwardly, we just sat down somewhere because no one bothered to acknowledge us. When my friend finally approached the bar to ask for help, she got an attitude-filled comment about how “normal people check in at reception first.” Very welcoming.||||On top of that, guests were casually smoking joints by the pool, which really added to the atmosphere. This place seems more suited for the “I found myself during my backpacking trip” type of traveler, not for anyone expecting even a hint of the comfort or luxury shown in the photos.

A heavenly resort on an isolated island, this is paradise on earth. Not just the remote location and the great amenities plus the awesome chillout area, but the great service people and the volunteers (especially Ben!) really make the stay memorable. Already sad when thinking of checking out. If there's one place to visit in Panama, this is it.

The location is so beautiful. I would describe it as a zen experience mixed with an amazing social experience. The food is amazing. The staff is fantastic- especially Manon! She was AMAZING. In addition, the rest of the staff was top notch. As a solo traveler, you WILL NOT be alone
