We arrived here on Tuesday 11th March 2025, we already looked online but also asked to see the actual rooms in the resorts around the area before we made the choice since it didn't look too busy, and the Bankrut Resort bungalows offered are the best quality for the price, especially if you commit to a 7 days stay, we've got the 10% discount for the weekly rate.||Bankrut resort is a little away from the direct beach road, it locates on the Northern corner, near the fisherman village and the local port where the small fishing boats come and go with the view of the temple on the hill. It has a little walkway to the beach and reclining beach chairs for the guests too.||The best thing is, as a guest, you can use the bicycles they have here for free to explore around the quiet area, there's an old railway station nearby next to the daily morning market that is very lively. You can also bike to the temple on the hill, it is not too far. The lady who takes care of the resort is very attentive and she makes sure everything is in good order.||The resort itself has no restaurant, but just across the small road there's a Thai local restaurant that serves really fresh seafood and will cook to your liking, whether you like it as spicy as the locals eat, or mild and gentle to your palate. Tourists here tend to walk into the center of the beachside road to eat in one of the many restaurants to choose from, but just right here in front of the resort, there's this low profile but high quality fresh seafood to offer too.||There's a small laundry service just next door to the resort, it's run by a nice and neat lady, she has no LAUNDRY sign in the front, but you can ask someone at the resort to point you to her place. It is a very friendly price.||Bankrut seems to be quite a new spot, the tourism peak doesn't arrive here yet, so it's not busy and local people are still friendly and happy to see tourists.|All and all we love it here so much we decided to extend the week of vacation and stay on for a bit :-)
