Banana Backpackers

Location is ideal near different transport links and not too expensive to get a taxi. This spot is mainly for people who are on a working holiday visa and are living here. Just good to know as a backpacker. Air con was perfect in the rooms. Ben on the desk is a legend and was welcoming and was really funny which was perfect for my first stop in Australia. The bathrooms were clean there were a lot of facilities that were perfect for the people living there. You get a lot of locker space and the facility locks which feels very secure.

It was a cute, little hostel with a relaxed and not very busy vibe. We had a room for 3 which was perfectly clean. We could check-in early and go to our room before 10 am, which made our day so much better, because we arrived at 5:30am after a 20h bus ride. The location is good, you can go to the city centre within 10 minutes by bus or to Southbank within a 20min walk. Benjamin at the reception helped us out with everything, he was so nice, thanks a lot! It is more of a relaxed hostel, we got the feeling, that a lot of people who work in Brisbane stay there longterm, so if you’re looking for a social place to connect with people, I’d recommend somewhere else.

Benjamin is great, helpful and made check in so easy! We felt relaxed on arrival. The facilities were clean and tidy and we would definitely stay here again. It’s quiet, friendly and a relaxed environment and also room for games nights in communal areas if you want to join! It’s great!! Thanks banana backpackers 😀

Lovely hostel in a great location! Everyone is really friendly, Benjamin at the front desk is so welcoming, kind and always there to help and give advise on what’s going on in the city. Great amount of facilities that are all nice and clean, we would definitely stay here again! :)

A great hostel, the staff was really nice and the rooms get cleaned every day. There are 2 TVs with Netflix and enough rooms to pass time, with free books and games. A supermarket is right around the corner, which makes shopping easy. You have to walk a little to get into the center, but that makes this hostel more peaceful, which is nice. The only major downside is the kitchen, as guests sometimes do not wash their used dishes, despite the signs. It gets cleaned as the kitchen closes. You still have a toaster and kettle available 24/7. Great stay and not very expensive.

Nice hostel, quiet at night and lovely staff. You get a locker to store your food in the kitchen. Good location, not far from the CBD or south bank. I enjoyed my stay there.

Really good hostel, friendly and Benjamin at the reception is really welcoming and kind. Good location at only 20min by walk of the downtown so you can do some sport to go or take the bus. The WiFi is good too and you have 2 TV in common area to watch Netflix or YouTube

Very good hostel, the staff is very very nice, they did everything to help us and help us getting the best stay. Everything is great, kitchen a little dirty but that’s okay. I loved it !!

friendly staff, clean room (double)! would come again! only the location isn't the best of you have a little more luggage and wanna walk there. it's quite close to the bus station, no doubt, but you have to walk uphill. (2007)
