Absolutely exceptional dining experience! The food is incredibly flavorful, and the service is impressively fast. Honestly, for the quality you get, the prices feel almost too low. The menu is extensive, offering a fantastic variety of dishes to choose from. The vegetable curry, in particular, was the best I’ve ever had — rich, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. There was even a queue outside, and it’s easy to understand why. The staff were friendly, attentive, and wonderfully accommodating. You also have the option to sit inside or outside, but be prepared to wait in line for a table — this restaurant is so popular that people are constantly coming in. Depending on the time you visit, the wait can be anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. However, once you’re seated, the ordering process is quick and the service is impressively fast. The food arrives promptly and tastes absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. A truly outstanding place that deserves all the praise it receives

The best restaurant in Souk al Wakif. The restaurant serves Yemeni food of the highest quality. Went twice in 2 days the food was that good. We initially tried the meat on rice the 1st day and BBQ Chicken and Mutton Curry on the 2nd day. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Value for money aswell. Portions were of very good size.

Maybe one of the well known Yemeni restaurants in the Souq Waqif. But the interesting topic is that all of the staff including the chefs are from Bangladesh. It’s quite a busy restaurant, so you need to wait in a queue line to get your table. No specific car parking is available here because cars aren’t allowed in that area. The taste of the food is too delicious. They have varieties of food items which are not limited to only Mandi or Kebab items. They were welcomed with complimentary soup items. Some soft drinks and dessert are also served here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No smoking is allowed here. Cash and card both are acceptable.

Bandar Aden Restaurant is a wonderful Yemeni dining spot located at the north end of Souq Waqif, and it truly delivers an authentic and flavourful experience. We visited for a hearty lunch before heading to the Formula 1 race, and it turned out to be one of the best meals of the day. The highlight was the mutton and rice combo—beautifully cooked, tender, and richly seasoned. The portion was generous, comforting, and full of traditional Yemeni flavours that make the cuisine so distinctive. It’s the kind of dish that leaves a lasting impression and makes you want to return. The service was warm, efficient, and welcoming. Staff were helpful and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting, offering a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere perfect for a satisfying meal before a big event. One of the most impressive aspects was the value. For such hearty, delicious food, the price was extremely reasonable—three of us enjoyed a full meal for just 105 QAR. It’s rare to find quality, authenticity, and affordability so beautifully balanced. If you’re in or around Souq Waqif and craving genuine Yemeni cuisine, Bandar Aden Restaurant is an excellent choice. Highly recommended for its fantastic food, friendly service, and unbeatable value.

It's quite good. It is also extremely popular and busy. You might have to wait for a table, and then you might have to share a table. You can't just tell them what you want, you must order from the menu. They will help by describing everything. You must get the Yemeni bread, it really is amazing. The meat is very tender. I'm not a huge fan of rice, but if I was, this would be the place.

A Yemeni-style restaurant right in the heart of Souq Waqif. I tried their Mandi, which is supposed to be the highlight here, but honestly it was just average. The meat was tough and dry. Even the popular salad that comes with the dish had no salt or pepper. Service was also quite weak. Overall, I wouldn’t really recommend it. The location is great though — it’s right in the middle of the souq — and there’s usually a line, so be ready to wait.

This has to be one of the best Yemeni dinning experiences in Souq Waqif!! My family and enjoyed it so much that we had to visit it twice during our trip to Doha!

This was the best value meal I have had in a long time. The meals were large, fresh and tasty. Service was fast and friendly. We got there about 543pm and there were few tables left. By 627pm a short line had formed. We sat outside and watched the crowds go by. Do yourself a favour and try this Yemeni restaurant.
