B&B 5 Balconi

I don’t normally leave reviews but my stay at 5 Balconi B&B was amazing! Cristina was an excellent host with great information about the city. The room and bathroom were clean. The WiFi was fast. Plenty of options to eat at breakfast. A wonderfully decorated place. Overall an amazing stay!

All the reviews are right on! Rob and Cristina are fantastic hosts of a very quirky B&B. Rooms are great. Breakfast is personalized - we had yogurt, fruit and cornettos. Another couple was served cheese and charcuterie. Rooms are very comfortable. Bathrooms are shared. 5balconi is in a very authentic area. Arriving at night we thought we had wandered onto a Fellini set. Catania is a walkable city and 5balconi is great for those who enjoy getting involved in a place, not just touring. The best pizza in Sicily is two blocks away. Cristina or Rob will point the way.

An excellent choice to stay during your vacation to Catania. Clean rooms and bathroom, nice breakfast and in a great location, near the center (walking distance) and public transport. Christina was an excellent hostess with great recommendations for the city and always available to help us with what we needed. The only negative was that the performance of the air condition was a bit poor and we stayed during a heat wave.

We found 5 Balconi by happy accident after booking into a nearby holiday let which turned out to be less than perfect. We turned up at the door of 5 Balconi and were met by Rob, who was so friendly and helpful - he offered us a room and showed us round, made sure we were happy with the facilities, and generally rescued what would otherwise have been a fairly dire stay in Catania. The B&B is charming, quirky and characterful, as are the owners! Our high-ceilinged room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable - the air conditioning was highly efficient. Rob gave us loads of recommendations for places to visit and to eat - it was like staying with friends who know the city inside out. Highly recommended - thanks so much Rob and Cristina

A fantastic small bed & breakfast located within easy walking distance to all central spots of interest in Catania. The very welcoming and vivacious hosts Cristina and Rob made us feel as if we were staying with friends, and provided a wealth of local intel to enhance our visit on many levels. Breakfast was spot on with fresh fruits, yogurt, delicious bread, cereals, and coffee or tea as requested. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the bustling street below, but perfectly quiet when closed up for a lengthy rest. A casual, fun vibe and a most enjoyable experience enhanced by the very accommodating hostess and host. Highly recommended!

if you search for cosy B&B which offers vegan breakfast this is a place to go. I really enjoyed the breakfast, made with love. Perfect for solo or couple travelers, nice location, charming interior.

Only stayed at B&B 5 Balconi for 1 night but left a very great impression and great start to our trip around Sicily. |Firstly, id like to thank Rob for his help and hospitality. We unfortunately had an issue with our rental vehicle which provided a deal of stress on the Saturday evening. However Rob was very welcoming, cool and collective and settled us in on the late evening. |We also managed to leave with the B&B Keys - Rob was very understanding and we managed to post them back with no issue. Communication was great. |The accommodation was very homely with great décor around. Comfy bed, nice view of the hectic Catania roads, stones throw from popular sites and an excellent breakfast. I had the Pistachio Croissant with filtered coffee which was delicious.|Thank you again.
