Unfortunately, a very unpleasant experience despite the beautiful surroundings. Before our arrival, communication went smoothly, and our small requests were accommodated. However, upon arrival, it was difficult to reach any staff member, as no one was there to greet us and no one answered the phone. Fortunately, the owner’s mother happened to walk by, and we were able to get the key to our room. Still, we were never properly checked in at any point. Once we got to the room, we noticed that the bed was broken. The owner reacted unprofessionally to the issue and questioned our claim. Luckily, after a short discussion, he agreed to look under the bed himself and saw that it was indeed broken. To get a new room with a functioning bed, we had to cancel our original reservation on Booking.com. The owner specifically asked us not to mention the real reason for the cancellation so that he would not get a bad reputation on Booking as a host. The room itself was clean and pleasant, but the breakfast was very modest and did not reflect the nearly €190 per night price level. The biggest problem occurred during check-out. The owner did not respect the price of the reservation we had already paid through Booking.com but charged us an additional €45 for the stay. We do understand city tax, that should have been only under 10€ from two us for three nights. When we tried to resolve the matter, he lost his temper and began insulting us as Finnish tourists—saying that there are always problems with us and that we drink too much. He even used words that are very offending. Have to admit that we also used bad language after getting insulted by the owner. In his opinion, sending a message about the room or asking for an extra blanket was already more than what “guest care” should include. The owner even explicitly told us to say that Finnish tourists are not welcome there. We cannot recommend this accommodation to anyone. The beautiful location and the friendly housekeeping staff are not enough to make up for the owner’s inappropriate, offensive, and even unforgivable behavior. We have travelled a lot together and separately. And never before we have met this kind of person and such a bad treatment. And so little value for money.

Darling Inn tucked away behind a gate off a busy street with a cute playful dog waiting for you. Clean rooms with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Lovely outside area which we were unable to use because of pesty mosquitos. The Inn is fairly close to Parma and the cheese tours. This inn is about 20 minutes from Parma. Check the cancellation policy which is 3 days if plans have e to be altered.

We stayed here last month for 2 nights to round out our honeymoon trip. Federico was a great host - he was very easy to talk to and made us feel very welcome! The B&B itself was beautiful, and the rooms were so comfortable.

Comfortable, stunning, delicious food and a great host! There’s a good reason the ratings for this place are so high. I can validate it’s accurate 😊.

What a delightful place! Charming atmosphere, beautifully restored building with every modern convenience but without harming the original structure. Our host, Federico, was as charming as his establishment and would strongly recommend to anyone who has reason to stay in or around Parma. Lovely breakfast with large choice of fresh fruits and snacks and enjoyed on the covered terrace. Why not five stars? Well, the only negative would be that no bar for an evening aperitivo, which is also not to blame in a Bed and Breakfast.

Corte Finzi is an absolutely beautiful, immaculately clean and well maintained B&B housed in a lovingly restored/renovated stone building with a stunning mixture of modern and rustic finishes. The owner is friendly, attentive, quick to respond, and a very helpful source of information about the area. The breakfast buffet was delicious - fresh fruits, toast, pastries, cereal and meats and cheeses, coffee and tea. Each morning we ate on a covered stone patio overlooking the vinyard and gardens - so incredibly beautiful and relaxing. The property is safe and quiet, and the location is an ideal base for exploring numerous areas in Northern Italy. In addition to exploring Sala Baganza and Collecchio, we visited the Cinque Terra villages on the coast, hiked in the mountains, toured a wonderfully preserved/restored medieval castle, spent an afternoon exploring Parma, and visited the Ferrari facility in Maranelo. Many lovely restaurants are within a few minutes walk or short drive, as are shops for any groceries or other necessities. We stayed there while our daughter played in a softball tournament in nearby Collecchio, and we were so glad we chose to stay at Corte Finzi in Sala Baganza instead of one of the large featureless commercial hotels in Collecchio. The price is very reasonable given the quality of the accommodations. We comfortably stayed there for 6 nights and could have happily stayed longer.

A beautiful (romantic) getaway, super-close to Parma. I proposed to my girlfriend here, and the owner was incredibly helpful to make the experience special and memorable. An absolutely fantastic place to stay - even in the late autumn. The rooms are cosy, and the farmhouse has a gorgeous, almost magical atmosphere.
