Where to Stay in Florence: The Best Neighborhoods For Your Visit

"I considered B&B Hotel Firenze City Center a solid budget choice in Santa Croce, offering simple, light-filled rooms with a desk and flatscreen TV, bathrooms with a bidet and complimentary toiletries, and a breakfast buffet (about €9.50) with croissants, cakes, muffins, cereals, yoghurt and eggs." - Matthew Kepnes

I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Its location in the city was perfect – everything I needed was within walking distance. As a solo female traveller, i can say that my room was just the right size for me, very safe, and impeccably clean. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with plenty of fresh and tasty options. Also, the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming, answering all the questions i had and making sure everything was perfect for me. Overall, a wonderful experience and I’d happily come back anytime! 🫶🏻

A good inexpensive hotel for your money. New repair and beautiful view of the historical center opens from the top floor. Not far from the center is a 15 -minute walk. It is convenient to come by car, there is a intercepting parking nearby. A pleasant and friendly staff at the reception and daily cleaning of the room. A good standard breakfast that will not have time to get bored for 3-4 days. On the ground floor there is a large lobby, where you can get together with a small company.

Stayed here as part of a tour. It was modern, clean, comfortable bed and pillows, but my room was VERY small. The toilet was close to the sink and challenging to sit/stand. It was my first time in Italy and I asked for a higher floor and hopefully a better view. I got the higher level; however, the room was like a small dorm room with a sliver of a window that had a view when you pressed your face against the window glass. I just wish I got a more spacious room like the same people in my group that paid extra for a single room. Their rooms were significantly larger and nicer. ||||The noise is also loud. I can hear guests talking next door and my room was right by the elevator. I had to wear earplugs to block out the constant noise from people getting on and off and I could hear the elevator going up and down. ||||The breakfast offerings were great. Fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee machine saved me. The food options were also decent. There were cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, milk and juices, breads, pastries, fruit and hot scrambled eggs and sausage/hot dog slices.

Awesome stay! Walking distance from all major attractions. They also let me store my luggage before check-in time, so that was pretty helpful. Very good breakfast as well.

We had a wonderful stay at B&B HOTEL Firenze City Center. The hotel is very clean and conveniently located near the city center, which made it easy to explore Florence. A special thanks to Ms. Lucia and Ms. Eleonora for their warm welcome and kindness. They kindly upgraded our room, helped us arrange parking, and even recommended some great local restaurants and gelato spots that we truly enjoyed. Their hospitality made our stay even more memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back!

My wife and I stayed here and we were very satisfied with our experience. The place is spotless and the staff are incredibly friendly. We had a small issue during our stay, but it was taken care of quickly and professionally. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it.

Our stay at the hotel was comfortable. The room offered a great city view and was equipped with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast spread is also good. The staff is warm and helpful. Ms. Aissa at the front desk was an absolute delight to interact with. She helped us with our queries and requests promptly. All in all, the stay was great and highly recommended.

BEWARE: book refundable so you do not have regrets, like I did. Would only recommend if desperate and no other affordable options are available. Positives: bed and pillows were very comfortable. Reception was nice (when they came after 10min of waiting in the lobby…despite cameras). Negatives: - Room smelled overwhelmingly of sewage and mold. - AC blew warm air and did not cool below 23.5 very unpleasant when it is 40C or more daily. - Water was shut off with no warning from hotel - couldn’t shower, use bidet or wash hands. No water provided from staff to help guests while maintenance was occurring. - Had GI illness after breakfast, and I know it was breakfast as I had not eaten for nearly a full day prior due to traveling. Not a fun way to spend your first vacation day… - SO LOUD, you can hear everything from neighbors, hall, street. Very hard to sleep. - While the room looked clean (despite smell), the elevators and halls were very dirty as were the breakfast tables.
