the room was clean, comfortable, and very good value for money. The buffet breakfast offered a great selection and was enjoyable. We stayed for one night and everything met our needs perfectly. Although there was an additional charge for the car park, overall it was a great experience and we would happily stay again.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return. The staff were amazing and friendly and greeted me when I came through reception each time. The room itself was lovely and clean and bright, and the curtains did a great job blocking out light so we could sleep well into the morning. I found the pillow very thin and would bring my own if I stayed again, or put my coat under it as I did for the second night. The rest of the bed was very comfortable. The key system of door codes was helpful as you didn't need to worry about losing a keycard. The bathroom had a nice hot shower and was very clean. I'd have liked a towel holder that separate to the back of the door for the hand towel, but that's only a small thing. The breakfast was very nice and had a good variety, and the member staff working it was very helpful. I was able to borrow an iron from reception with an ironing board which I was grateful for. The location was so close to the station which made it ideal to arrive at by train and easy to get buses into Ipswich. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had to change our plans at short notice and find a hotel. A local friend seemed to know where the hotel was and confirmed it was quite near to where we were all meeting as well as a very short walk from Ipswich Station.. It was very pleasing to the eye inside and the room was also to a high standard. Couldn't fault this hotel. Breakfast was extremely good too. I have already recommended it to friends.

Regularly stay here. Very clean, convenient, well-managed hotel. Absolutely excellent staff - all are polite, well-trained, and hard-working - nothing is too much for them.

I would like to thank Jamie who went above and beyond to assist me with booking my rooms over the phone. She was attentive and so very helpful. A real asset too your company. The rooms were amazing. They were spacious, clean and the decor is very calming. The bathrooms are clean and the shower was a lovely surprise with a shower head that had adjustments with different settings. The room was quiet and we had a lovely view of the river. Breakfast buffet was really good, with a lovely variety of items. Fresh and tasty. To the restaurant staff working on Sunday 3rd August-well done with keeping everything in order despite having a rather large and unruly bunch of young people who made it a bit difficult for you. The reception staff were all very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend your hotel to other travellers and would definitely visit again. Stayed for one night. Very easy to get to a few minutes from the station. Lovely decor, and some nice touches, staff very welcoming. Room spotles and very comfortable. Breakfast perfect, but someone must be at the entrance to check guests in.

Fantastic location, easy walking distance to town centre. Hotel & room super clean. Staff were lovely. Breakfasts nice & a lot of choice. We did have issues with our room door code on multiple occasions though, had to keep getting it changed after not being able to enter, 5 times locked out, code changed twice more, staff were helpful though, it was just inconvenient!

I booked this hotel based on the reviews of other travelers and it was a good find. 6 minute walk from the train station, this hotel is part of a European chain. It was safe and clean. A large reception/bar/lounge area which was quite busy in the evening. Friendly staff and good value for the money. The room was small, but adequate. It had been newly redone, so everything was up to date. A small window and a quirky bathroom, but nothing huge. I had dinner one night and it was quite good. They will call a local taxi for you which appears to be cheaper than Uber. A small convenience store is around the corner along with one catering to the Polish community if you want international snacks to try. You cannot charge items to your room, so bring payment if you eat downstairs. They are happy to provide you with ice as there are no ice machines. Rooms in the 100-115 (?) look out over a small waterway. They provide a full English breakfast in the morning along with other options. The eggs were dubious, but the rest was good. It turns out this is where locals send guests when they come to visit.

Location is walking distance to the train station, football stadium, food and shopping. Room was clean and comfortable. Love that its kid and pet friendly. They provided a cot (pack and play) for our baby. Parking is small and food is a bit pricey. If you read on Trip Advisor many complained about this, so knowing this you know what you're getting yourself into. We planned to arrive early and there was plenty of parking. We were going to eat out but after a long day adventuring we decided to eat downstairs. For the price of convenience, I'd say it was well worth it. Would we come back again? YES

If you find yourself visiting Ipswich you should, first, reflect on the life choices that brought you here and, second, book a room at Pentahotel Ipswich. Pentahotel Ipswich is wonderfully located within walking distance of the Ipswich train station. The rooms are clean, modern, well-maintained, and generously sized. This is a well-managed, excellent, two star property that is (in terms of relative quality and style) a cross between an Ace Hotel and a Holiday Inn. A few very minor criticisms follow. The free wifi is rather slow (there is a higher-speed, paid option available). Check-in is, oddly, located at the hotel bar so you may need to wait for the staff to finish mixing a whiskey and soda before they can give you your room key. Corridors are slightly dreary. The retro telephones inside the guest rooms, while very hip, are essentially impossible to use. UPDATE - I stayed there a second time in January 2017 and nothing has changed, it's still a great value, well-kept, and centrally located. Really, the only downside is that it's in Ipswich.
