This is a charming b&b in the heart of historic Marsala, only a short step from the Cathedral, but in a quiet side street. Our room was simple but spacious and comfortable, and the small b&b (2 rooms only) is in a grand old Marsala house (first floor). The owner (speaks English) will give you lots of advice about what to see in the area, and how to get there. A large breakfast, with lots of traditional Sicilian food is provided, and the owner will also prepare a 5 course dinner tasting menu of traditional Sicilian food with accompanying wines if you wish (reasonable price). Staying here is an experience which you will always remember.

The perfect BnB - a beautiful house in an absolutely perfect location (a couple of minutes from the Duomo) and Celsa the host, is simply fabulous and so helpful with everything (plus she is an excellent chef). Breakfast was delicious with Celsa's own homemade yogurt, bread, preserves and cake plus the best scrambled eggs. Celsa can provide a dinner of historic Sicilian food on request. The room was beautifully appointed, quiet and comfortable. I could not fault this place and so wished we could have stayed more than one night. 100% recommend to anyone who wants to have the best experience they could in Marsala.

This B&B is owned and run by Celsa who went out of her way to make our stay special. She was flexible with timing and took care of making a dinner reservation for us because we were arriving late--and her restaurant choice was great! She made excellent recommendations for wine tastings but best of all, her breakfast was amazing. I am still thinking about her home made juice and bread. If you need to park, ask her about finding a spot at the local lot, it was easier than I expected.||We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with her.

Wow. What to start with… It’s the most amazing travel experience in my life. The house owner makes this world full of light, kindness and tasty food. She is absolutely passionate about her job, very welcoming. The room and the whole house is in amazing Italian local style. Cozy, comfortable and adorable. I totally recommend it to all travellers, who want to feel the real italian soul.

We loved our stay at Il Profumo del Sale. So much so, that I’d rank as one of our top stays during our 360º road trip of Sicily. The B&B is close to public parking and right in the middle Marsala. We made the mistake of arriving pretty late so didn’t get to do much exploring, however Celsa came to the rescue and reserved us a table at one of her favourite restaurants (Ciacco), which was an absolute delight. The beauty of staying in a B&B rather than a hotel, is you gain the local insight from the host and we were given a whole host of recommendations, including where the best nightlife was. The B&B itself is a beautiful building, decorated with meticulous taste. It’s rustic, authentic, cozy and very Sicilian. The breakfast Celsa laid on for us the next day was one of the best of our entire holiday, delicious! ||||After we checked out, we discovered a problem with our rental car. Celsa saved the day by meeting us and talking to the hire company in her native Italian, meaning we were back on the road in no time. We’d ended our stay at Villa Cetta at that point so Celsa had no obligation to come after us...but she did! We are eternally grateful! If you’re passing through Marsala, I cannot recommend this place highly enough in equal parts thanks to the B&B and the owner.

I wish we’d stayed longer. This is a beautiful apartment, Celsa is a warm and friendly host, her breakfasts are excellent, the bathroom was very well stocked, there is tea and coffee available at any time and the location is right in the heart of the historic centre. I really couldn’t find any fault. We felt very comfortable coming and going as we wished, it was a real home from home. ||Celsa is a fabulous cook too - her homemade cakes, breads and preserves at breakfast were a real treat and nothing was too much trouble for her. She was happy to make bookings for us, recommend places to eat and things to do, help out with incomprehensible Italian bus websites (!) and generally ensure that we enjoyed our time in Marsala. Her English is excellent too so no communication issues which was very reassuring. ||Very highly recommended. We stayed in the Cinnamon room with en suite bathroom (both were a very good size).

Great hospitality by Celsa the host! She was very friendly and she prepared lots of local traditional cuisines passionately (with best Marsala wines of course!). The rooms were super clean and cozy. Highly reccomend this place, which is located in the heart of the historic center.

We chose Il Profumo del Sale from the good reviews already written and because we wanted to stay in the middle of the old part of the town. It was perfect for us and our Rosemarino Room was large, comfortable and cool in the hot weather. It ahd a little balcony over the small street but it was too hot to sit our there. Our separate bathroom was also big and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent and we often woke to the smell of cakes or bread baking. We were encouraged to make ourselves at home in the dining area any time of day. Celsa's advice on everything including parking, restaurants, Segesta, Erice and where to swim on the Egadi Islands was spot on! The walk into town with our suitcases was easy because it's not too far from the free parking just outside the Porta Nuova (the wheels run smoothly on the stone paving).
