B&B La Nona

Spent three nights at this great B&B. Welcoming, peaceful and homely. Rene and his family are brilliant. We felt at home from the moment we stepped in. Rene is great for a chat about the area or generally on anything Chile. Rooms are super comfortable and clean. Breakfast was amazing. And the laundry service a brilliant plus! We even got a private lesson on pisco sour making (and drinking). If you are a runner ask Rene if LaNona run club is open.

We had an absolutely brilliant stay with Rene and his family. Incredibly warm and friendly hosts who helped organise very memorable activities during our stay. Location is perfect, the breakfasts are generous and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for a home away from home then you couldn’t find a better place to stay.

If you’re staying in Valparaiso, look no further than René and Carolina’s B&B. Their house is in one of, if not the best locations in the city, in a lovely part of town (Cerro Alegre), and close to everything you need! My room was lovely and cosy. Everything was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. The family is really lovely, and René is the best host you could ask for - he is just a wonderful, caring and happy person! He was also super responsive on WhatsApp and so invested in your stay. He took the time to really make sure I would know all the best places to go, (including restaurant recommendations which were top notch!) and I had one of the best days riding in the sand dunes in Ritoque (near Viña del Mar) with one of his friends which he can organise for guests. Can’t recommend enough!

René is the perfect host! The B&B was beautiful, breakfast was lovely and the location was ideal, right in the middle of lots of restaurants and shops but on a quiet street with no noise. We would definitely recommend!

We, (two adults with a three year old doughter) stayed in La Nona for three nights. Had no more expectations more than a few good reviews we managed to catch with a really slow Internet on the bus station. We took a quick decision to walk all the way up to The hill to ask for a room. That paid off wery well: La Nona is located in an extremely good spot in Valparaíso nearby quite a lot of good cafés and restaurantes, but without being on the loudly main bar street. |The couple that runs the place are just as friendly and welcoming as you can imagine from a feel good movie. The rooms are a clear mirror of the towns pittoresque architecture and very clean. The toilets very clean as well, and well functioning. |The breakfast that included leaves nothing| left to wish for; just as abundant as good. It leaves the impession that it's made with love and honest interest in leaving the guests happy and safisfied.||Traveling with children is not always so easy. But La Nona made it easy för us, granting our doughter extra care, what one really can call "that little extra".||La Nona is worth every little peso - and more. ||For sure this should be everyones firs shoice of acomodation in Valparaíso. |

We stayed with Rene and Carolina recently and had a wonderful time! One of the nicest B&B’s I’ve ever been to. Lovely spacious en suite bedroom, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. Rene makes a lovely breakfast; fresh fruit, granola, home made yoghurt, home made bread, eggs, avocado - so delicious! Our hosts were very kind, sharing so much of their town with great recommendations of things to do, places to see, and restaurants to eat in. Would love to go back, and would happily recommend.

Rene and his family were warm and welcomed us with open arms and many suggestions for places to visit and things to do. Each morning, we enjoyed fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, bread and coffee and lively conversations about Chilean economics, education, and family. Their place is in the upper section of the area and is surrounded by colorful murals, restaurants and shops.

The breakfasts were lovely and tailored to our desires. Lots of fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and mueslli, warm/toasted breads, jams, cheeses and cold cuts, and other goodies too depending on the morning. We stayed there a week and loved our stay. They also offer a laundry service and we loved sitting out in the courtyard on a couple of our evenings. We took their Casablanca vineyard "tour" (essentially he drove; we drank) one day and really enjoyed the variety of vineyards and experiences that Rene recommended. The hosts treated us like family and we truly feel we have a home to return to next time we are in Chile!
