Stunning little B&B. Family run. A level of decor, cleanliness, service, breakfast and overall standard that can only usually be found in the highest star hotels. Perfect location, not far to walk from the station, and right on the water's edge. Lots of lovely little bars & restaurants and Scilla has some interesting historical buildings to visit. A walk on the (steep) steps of the "Sentiero Del Serro" is a must if you are interested in nature......the whole path is dotted with native Calabrian plants with a little explanatory plaque for each one. And then back to your balcony to chill, watch the traditional swordfish boats at work, spot a dolphin if you're lucky and listen to the waves lapping directly under you. Bliss!

I have been here for 30 minutes and I already give this property 5 stars. It starts with Antonio, who is so nice to talk with and very welcoming. He offered to help with my car and my dinner reservation, and we talked about fishing. The rooms are impeccable, comfortable and perfectly appointed. This is the place to stay in magical Scilla.

Scilla is a charming and picturesque spot, and B&B La Veduta is the perfect base to enjoy it from. As others have said, this is a spotlessly clean small accommodation with just three rooms, one atop the other above a ground floor kitchen and breakfast area. All three rooms have the same floor plan, with comfortable balconies directly above the water affording a stunning view out to the sea and up and down the coast…nice chairs with cushions. The sound of the water lapping at the shore as we went to sleep was wonderful! Each room has a spacious private bath across the hall…the stairwell bisects the building. We were on the top floor which featured a lovely wooden ceiling that angled upwards making the room feel quite spacious. But any of the rooms would be lovely. What really made our three-night stay special was our hosts. Nella is a warm and engaging person who is clearly proud of her business and town. She claims her English is not good, but she loves to chat and manages to communicate a lot in a charming combination of Italian, English, and French. The breakfast served here is the best: a nice assortment of meat, cheese, and breads plus lovely fresh fruit and wonderful home-made tarts and cakes. Nella is a great baker! They went the extra mile for us: on our last night, when we asked if a cab could be ordered to take us in the morning to nearby Villa San Giovanni to catch a passenger ferry to Messina in Sicily, Nella insisted Michelle take us. So nice! In the town, we loved both wine bars that are just down the street from La Veduta and there’s a lot of great seafood to be had in the restaurants all along the water. We also enjoyed a meat-centric meal in the “upstairs” part of the town at a restaurant called Osteria del Centro. We shared the vitello tonnato as a first course and it was perfectly prepared.

Me and my partner had a wonderful time for our one night’s stay here. The host was very kind and she can speak English and French as well as Italian which was useful. The views from the balcony were stunning and the location was perfect for the bars and restaurants. The breakfast the next day was also delicious. We cannot recommend this place enough and one day we will definitely return. This is the must-stay place in Scilla.

Nella’s superb breakfast was by far the best we enjoyed during our visit to Italy to match the beautiful setting of the accommodation. An abundance of fresh fruit, freshly baked cakes and freshly squeezed orange juice were among the delights on offer. Our room was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and not least a balcony to enjoy the beautiful view of the bay.

Wonderful host Nella who is so friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here, great position, beautiful views from the balcony and a delicious home prepared breakfast. The room and bathroom were really spacious. Both have their own balcony, the bedroom one looks out over the bay and the bathroom one looks over the quiet street. Don’t be put off by the bathroom being over the corridor - it really isn’t a problem at all. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to Scilla. Nothing is too much effort for Nella and Michele - thank you again for having us and being such fantastic hosts!

First and absolutely not the last time here. Location is amazing (so charming, by lots of restaurants and walking distance to beach), all 3 rooms are with ocean view (and it is breathtaking) and superb service. Breakfast is lovely and the owner is great! Parking is abit difficult as the B&B is in a ZTL zone (residents only parking) but we were so lucky to get one of the public parking spots by the church so it's a short walk. Highly recommend this very romantic and lovely B&B!

Nella is such a great hostess. This place is so well located that you don't have to have a car. You can walk everywhere in this ancient village. This is my second time here. The place has balconies right on the harbour with an incredible view of Scilla and the fort and distant villages. It is clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.
