A beautiful, tranquil family home, with a warm welcome from Antonio. Situated in a quiet part of the old town and walkable form everywhere. Lovely bedroom with a very comfortable bed and wonderful old wardrobe. The common rooms downstairs are filled with family furniture and Antonio's collections of porcelain, art books and pictures. Breakfast in the courtyard under the pomegranate tree was a joy. I stayed for 3 nights and wished that it was longer.

What an amazing experience it was to walk into Le Foglie di Acanto. Antonio and his family have created a breathtaking space in this lovingly restored old mansion. The common areas were stunning and each of the rooms was very unique and very spacious. Antonio was helpful, charming, and friendly. He even helped us get to the house by directing us step-by-step as we had trouble following both the directions and the GPS. The B&B is superbly located in the heart of the old town of Lucera which is really very beautiful. We spent one day driving the Gargano Peninsula and had lunch in Vieste--absolutely beautiful and enchanting. We enjoyed the food, the streets, the people, and the history of Lucera -- and Le Foglie di Acanto transports you back in time and makes you feel that you are living that history. On a side note, we really appreciated that there was a parking place for us right in front...when driving in Southern Italy, that is often the exception and parking can be a crazy maker. We highly recommend this B&B and Lucera. Not many Americans put this on their itineraries and I'm so glad we did.

We had a beautiful room (really an apartment since it has a living/dining room with a small kitchen) and a very nice stay. The owners have been renovating this palazzo over the years and filling it with beautiful antiques. We were greeted with warmth and friendliness. The rooms are unique, one with painted ceilings and a truly palatial bathroom was stunning. We can't imagine a better place to stay in Lucera. And if you go there see if you can make it to nearby Troia, the cathedral there is stunning.

Wonderfully atmospheric B&B of three or four star hotel quality in the historic center of Lucera. We stayed five nights, with plenty to do each day both in Lucera, and also visiting Foggia, Troia and Biccari nearby. Also within an hour’s drive of the Gargono. Antonio is a great host and a font of knowledge on art and the history of art. And he produces a great breakfast! Expect to stay in a large rambling historic house with an inner courtyard garden where you will take breakfast. Do not expect modern construction or facilities ( though everything you would normally need will be available). WiFi available in the downstairs area only, and enjoy the absence of TV. Public parking was easily available nearby during our September visit. Very highly recommended, would definitely visit again

The rooms in this restored historic building are unique, with high ceilings and interesting furniture. Located in the center of Lucera's historic district, it's walking distance to everything. Helpful owner Antonio met us at the train station and took us to the hotel. Our room had a small kitchen provided with basic breakfast needs which we supplemented from the nearby grocery. We rented a car on the second day and were able to park right in front of the hotel. The only drawback was the temperature-- it was cold when we visited in early April, and the same qualities which make the room appealing made it hard to heat. Beds did have warm blankets.||||Lucera is a beautiful, lively, and historic town with buildings of honey colored stone. We found good restaurants, coffee shops and friendly people. It's an easy drive for a day trip to the picturesque Gargano Peninsula. We had a great visit and would stay at the B&B again.

Le Foglie is a charming place in a historic building with beautiful common spaces. The innkeepers are delightful and bend over backwards to make you comfortable. The period decorating is amazing. Rooms are spacious but haven't all been updated to modern standards. Plumbing and electricity isn't up to modern standards and because of the thick walls, WiFi doesn't reach all the rooms. It's a good reason to spend time in the various regal public spaces. Breakfast was served outdoors. If ever in Lucera again, I will definitely stay at Le Foglie.

My second visit to Lucera and this lovely B&B, the first for my fiancé. ||Antonio is friendly, welcoming and helpful and makes a great breakfast. I still stand by that the tomatoes in Lucera are the best in the world and the breakfast bruchetta is something to definitely look forward to each morning!||We opted for the rooftop room, as it is the most unique and relaxing area in the house. The Wifi was not available in our room, but you could access it from the rooftop balconies or downstairs in the common area.||The room itself is quaint and comfortable, it truly is a unique setting like no other. The garden where breakfast is served is just as pretty with plenty of greenery. We were lucky enough to get a car park at the side of the B&B, which was very convenient. ||We visited during Ferragosto, so there were many people, events, food etc. at night. Everything does still shut at roughly 1pm to 5pm, which I believe is the norm in small Italian towns. I am also lucky enough to have a friend here who knows where to eat (had the best pizza!!).||Lucera is a wonderful small town, if you are planning to visit, definitely stay at Le Foglie di Acanto. You won't be disappointed!
