We had a brilliant holiday at Maison Mattisse. The reception was warm so we felt at home from the start. The food was made with a lot of love and was exquisite 👌. After diner we sat with the hosts and the other guests for a cosy social gathering. The room we had was a family room. Nicely air-conditioned so sleeping was also super. The furniture was authentic and beautiful. Breakfast was also grand with delicious selfmade jams. Our children (and me) enjoyed the pool to cool off a bit in the afternoon. The hosts were also very helpful in choosing the daytrip and gave useful tips on each of the locations. Thanks for the perfect holiday Bruno and Bert!!

Our family spent a very enjoyable week at Maison Matisse. The rooms and accommodation in the traditional and rustic property, which has been beautifully restored. We were able to enjoy the local villages and spend time on the Canal Midi, with the Mediterranean 20-30 minutes away. Bert and Bruno are charming hosts, who took every care to accommodate our stay with their local knowledge.

We only stayed one night but Bert and Bruno were excellent hosts. They have carefully renovated their home into a charming B and B. The room was spacious and lovely with modern bathroom facilities. We took up their offer of an evening meal and were not disappointed! Bert is an excellent cook and both of them dined with us. Their command of English (as well as French and native Dutch) is first class - we were made so welcome. Breakfast was superb - do try Bert's home made yoghurt and jams.

We stayed with Bruno and Bert at the end of the summer and could not rate their B&B or hospitality high enough. They have beautifully restored a quintessential French villa so that guests have a mixture of period, character property mixed with modern amenities. We were also lucky to have a pool at our disposal which was great after a day of sightseeing in the heat. The location was ideal for us – very peaceful, yet close to all amenities by bike or car. Bruno and Bert made us feel at home from the start and were full of knowledge of the surrounding areas. Breakfasts consisted of hot and cold plates – we would thoroughly recommend the homemade jams (of which, we bought 3 jars)! Overall, a fantastic stay and we have already booked to return. A useful point to note is that there is plenty of on-site, secure parking – a definite bonus.

Second time we are staying in this region. Bert and Bruno are excellent hosts and they gave us plenty of tips and directions to visit places we hadn’t seen before and were top to visit ||The b&b is very well located to visit the area and has a safe parking lot.||The table d’hote is very good , and there is a very good selection of wines and aperitifs. Bert and Bruno really take care of their guests ||The rooms are big and very comfortable. ||The price/quality is superb||We will be back

A fabulous old house restored by these two young men and their parents. Made to feel welcome from the start. Lovely bedroom. Pool is a good size and was a good temperature. Breakfast was simple but of a good quality. Bert helps all the guests with tourist information and directions and we found his "tips" to be spot on. Note that if you intend going out in the evening to restaurants you either need to drive or take a torch and be prepared to dive for cover when a car comes past. The nearest selection of restaurants is on Le Somail which is a good 40 mins walk away. We ate at the house one night and Bert delivered a very enjoyable dinner which we ate sat in their garden with other guests.

I stayed three nights at Bert and Bruno’s B & B and loved every second of it. The 1860s house they have been renovating is a product of their love, determination, and hard work and it shows. It’s a big, comfortable, well-appointed, and attractive home and I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to enjoy it for a few days. Bert also prepared two dinners for me (roasted lamb and duck a l’orange with all the trimmings) and I had nothing but praise for both taste and presentation – the man can cook!!!! Breakfast was no less delicious and filling. And last but not least, there’s the wonderful time I enjoyed in Bert and Bruno’s company - we ate together, we laughed together, and we told stories together. Bert and Bruno, thank you very, very much for a memorable visit! I wish you a happy life!
